The staff are genuine, caring and friendly whilst behaving professionally at all times. The catering options are wonderful - you can provid a packed lunch from home at no extra cost or the nursery can provide hot meals for the children at the cost of about £2.50 per meal. They also cater for vegetarian children with a nutritionally balanced, well thought out menu. There are several different age groups within the nursery to ensure small groups with the correct staff to child ratio and maximize the learning potential of each child, geared specifically towards their age group. The nursery is OFSTED registered and accepts nursery vouchers as well as offering flexible payment options. Hourly rates or morning/afternoon or daily or weekly rates depending on what suits you - prices are on a par with most other nurseries in the area although in my opinion you get a lot more for your money here than you would elsewhere. Limited parking as it's so central but as you are usually only dropping of/picking up that's rarely a problem. One other thing to note is the stairs - there are quite a few inside the building, rather like a townhouse really but i think it's good for the children - exercise can only be a good thing!

The head guided us round and seemed Down to earth and lovely. He knew all the childrens names as we passed them and they all seemed very kind and confident. The thing I liked about the goals and ethics of it was that not only did it have great focus academically, but equally on how the children develop socially and individually. And how to care and communicate with others which I Think is just as important. It's a warm, inviting happy place Where kids can blossom as individuals as well as having the skills to work in groups and enjoy interacting and respecting others and the world around them.

It always has achieved well compared to other schools in the surrounding area with P.C.C. being the normal secondary school to attend which enables many people to keep friends for life. 2 of my best friends still, I met at Mile Oak. They do so much each year with some type of pantomime performance being the highlight. My brother was involved in the Pied Piper of Hamlet Performance whilst I was involved in Oliver and Joseph and the technicoloured dream coat. My mum has these videos now. The balanced teaching here which is in line with the curriculum gives young people a good chance to start their own path in life. I have ended up at university and am the 1st person in my family to do so. The school football team is always competing to win the leagues. Each year 2 of the best players are chosen to trial out for Brighton Schools Boys who play other counties.

My daughter is very happy here and was from when she first started. We have had a few personal problems during her time here which resulted in my daughter being late a lot or not being able to attend school during a period of one term. The school and all of the staff we dealt with during this time were extremely helpful, understanding and throughout it all kept my daughters welfare foremost in their minds. Of all the teachers she has had, only one has she actually disliked and all of them have managed to obtain and retain her interest in the lessons being taught. I would recommend this school to all - they have a wonderful community spirit and are very active in promoting their anti bullying policies.

With this in mind I was reluctant to send him off to nursery and was very particular when hunting through the multitude of options. He is also a baby giant (85th for weight and above the top line for height!) and I was a bit worried about how he would handle a room full of other 2 year olds. I know I was probably being an over-worried mum but Julie and the rest of the team have done a wonderful job and we couldn't be happier! He is so happy playing with a fantastic mix of children and is given the freedom to learn and explore however he chooses. I really could not recommend this place enough!
