Traveling through the UK. We came across this lovely English Pub.
A pub is something we British do well.
The grayhound was a former coaching inn. Going back many years.
Beautiful old wood beams. Traditional bar area. Many tables scattered around the building in large and small rooms. The garden was lovely. Close to the road. (Car park was between ) so noise from the road could be heard. But not too bad. It was this past October. The weather was warm, so we sit outside. Drinks and food were ordered from the bar. Staff brought our food out to us. The restaurant was well kept. The garden beds and flowers were still in full bloom.
Wooden benches. Chairs and tables
We shared an appetizer and fish & chips. Both were good. . But I do wish restaurants would give more toast with their Pate starters. It's just never enough. I enjoyed one of my favorite Ciders. Hubby had a beer on tap.
On line, the pub gets a 4.5 rating.
Definitely deserves this. For my experience I would give a 4.8.
If you are in the UK. Around the Cambridge area. I highly recommend this place.
