So many people voted for their loved ones whom they thought would win this deserving event. The top finalist all appeared to be deserving so here we all where sharing this information asking our friends to vote share and like all the love put into trying to help our loved one. This is not how all this went down none of our hard work for our loved one was worth anything to them the only one it benefited was Sweet Events and the radio station free advertising and contacts. More like a scam and leaves a sour taste in your mouth for either company shame on you!!@

Ah the glamour and glitz of working for a radio station...its not always what it seems. ..KFIZ…read moredoesnt exactly have all its crap together, nevertheless its one hell of a place to learn if you're doing an internship.its a pop radio station that plays 80's music...how fun is that? they mostly dive into whats popular these days, except rap for the most part...but its Fondy, what did you expect? late night music selection is usually the best music to sleep to...i dont' know why, maybe its all the sign pro commercials they play. the am side of things is mostly national talk, which is fine. there's brewer games, and packer games and even high school games...ah small town radio. overall its probably the best station to listen to in the area. its alos a great place to learn if you're doing an interniship because you will do everything from drive the van to counting every vote in town to being on air. Plus jon and randy are amazingly great guys to work for.

This is a listener-sponsored community radio station that started back in early 1970's. WORT was voted "Favorite local radio station" in the 2006 "Madison's Favorites" poll conducted by Isthmus (a weekly Madison paper). My godmother and her partner work/volunteer at the station so I've learned a lot about the place over the years and a bit about the inner working of radio show producing. Their News and Public Affairs programming is an eye/ear opening experience. I learn something new every time I tune in. There are programs like In Our Backyard, Queery (for the LGBT community), Access Hour (an ever changing show from members of the community), and my favorite Her Turn (News and information by and about women). For the music lover they have a little of everything. You can start your weekend with Mexican music, classic R&B, vintage jazz & swing, reggae, African, salsa & Latin jazz, rock 'n' roll oldies, hip-hop, medieval & renaissance, women's music, showtunes, world, kids, gospel, electronic, experimental, and avant garde music. The weekday schedule is a bit different but includes classical, folk & international, rock, techno, metal, and blues. Although their coverage area is only about a 50 mile radius of Madison, you can listen on-line so check out their webstream and listen to something new. But please note that all of the people on air are professionals but not necessarily professional DJs. Some of them are plain everyday folks.
