I travel often for work so it's sometimes hard to find a good barber. I've been to several barbers in the Elizabethtown area and none even come close to the barbers at The Grey Comb. When I find a good barber I like to share the experience so I can maybe help someone avoid getting a bad haircut at another place. The positives: -The quality of the haircut -The barbers take their time to provide a great cut -They use straight razors to get a clean shave and crisp lines -The barbers are friendly, have fun, and create a welcoming environment -For the quality they provide, the cost is super cheap ($14 dollars for a hair cut; $5 dollars for beard trim and straight razor; $3 dollars for beard trim) -I have seen children in the shop each time I have been there so they are good with kid cuts -Best fade I have gotten in a while Ways I think the shop could improve: -Offer appointments through a service like Resurva because the wait can be long at times -If the shop stays as busy as it was this morning, hire a shop receptionist to handle appointments/walk-ins, interact with waiting customers and keep the shop clean after cuts -Hang more artwork and offer hair and beard products for people to purchase after a cu If you haven't gotten your hair cut here yet, you should! I stopped by this place for a haircut today at 420p, their hours are to 5p. There were three guys standing around and they said they were closing early for a cleaning crew to show up. I asked for their card, "We don't have one", he said. I asked for their phone number, "We don't have one", he said. He didn't give a damn whether a customer was there or not. I always thought you cleaned up after business hours. I guess they have all the business they need when they want it. read more

I'm normally pretty nervous when I visit a new local place for a hair cut mainly because my hair has been BUTCHERED by local places. I've typically stayed with Great Clips just because I get a good cut most of the time. However, I won't be returning to Great Clips since the Grey Comb gave me the best haircut I've ever had. The Barber I had was friendly and the whole atmosphere made the experience amazing. They will be getting my business exclusively going forward. read more

My son won't go anywhere else again. Best barbers he has ever been to. Grant is thankful for this shop. The people here welcomed him in and gave him the experience he will always remember. I'm from Louisville, but I'm in Elizabethtown often. I usually just leave town as soon as I've finished work, but I stumbled upon this place and decided I'd give them a shot. I'm definitely glad I did. I typically get cut at Derby City Chop Shop in Louisville and they really are some of the best barbers around. I've gone once a month for years and I've never had a bad cut. But I actually feel like I got a cut here that was on par with the best cuts I've had at DCCS and maybe better, considering a cut is $14 ($6 cheaper than DCCS). My barber put so much time and attention-to-detail into my cut, a very short cut that a lot of barbers would just run over with a trimmer and be done with in two minutes. I'm obviously really impressed with this place and I'll most definitely be back. read more
