And then they said that nobody ask people how they're doing or what their name is. I said, I don't mind you asking me how I'm doing and I don't mind telling you that but I do mind you asking me what my name is, if I wanted to share I would. Then they said "well, I'm just asking because if you purchased something, we do require your name for a receipt". So, I said " Ok. Thank you for letting me know your policy but I don't think I will shop here" and left. I wanted to buy locally but did not feel comfortable shopping there. By the way, there was nobody in the store and it appeared that the back room was dark; it just kind of gave me the creeps.

The apparel is unique, modern and high-end without breaking your budget. Also, they offer quite a bit of colorful pieces. It is so nice to see clothing in something other than black and taupe. On the minus side, most of their clothing seems to be mad of man-made fabrics. I prefer natural fibers such as cotton, wool, bamboo, etc., although they do carry some. The only reason I don't shop at Silk Road Connection more often is that I am retired and no longer need office apparel. What I would like to see more of is high-end casual clothing such as Cut Loose, Kleen, Heartstring, Gerties, or Tribal. In that case I would shop there at least weekly.

The prices were pretty high for someone like me, but I ended up finding a wonderful white silk shirt with light blue yoke with Red and dark blue appliques and long royal blue fringe, in my XL size on the clearance rack. The shirt was originally $300 and 66% off. $100 for a totally unique shirt that I have received so many compliments on every time I have worn it. I don't usually spend a lot of money on my clothes, but I am thinking I need to go back and get me another one of these over-the-top shirts. Other security guards were helpful but the head of security was not. Extremely unprofessional and goes on power trips. Malls are fine but security ruined my overall experience. Even on Black Friday!
