I hired Mr. Grinnell in April 2017. As I was completely new to this family court/law experience, at that time I truly believed I had made an amazing choice when hiring him. He was knowledgeable and supportive. He went to court with me once and has literally done NOTHING since. Not one thing. After a year of being dragged along, I filed a bar complaint, which was successful despite him placing all the blame on me for why he didn't communicate or act on my behalf. He does not communicate. He does not act in the best interest of his clients, not truly. He's scatterbrained and all over the place despite how obvious it is he is well-educated. Do not hire this man!!!! 4 months and nothing had 1 court date he showed up 45 min late judge refused to hear and still tries to charge me for it. Ended up firing him hiring a new atty and had my situation resolved in 30 days. He even said I owned him money for time on my case AFTER I fired him. Eric is a saint! Unlike the many horrible lawyers I dealt with before him, he actually took personal interest in me and my case and didn't drop me as a client just because my case was a difficult one (due to the other party being ruthless and having deep pockets). Eric only asked for money on an infrequent basis and always charged a very reasonable amount considering all the work he did for me. It's hard to get into contact with him, but that's only because he works himself to the point of exhaustion! I only wish more lawyers could be like him read more
