It is across the street from Lake Erie, where you catch the ferry to go to Pelee Island. Here was my room ... it was a long odd-shaped long corner room. The bed was comfy. WIFI (it was speedy) and parking were complimentary. In the room, there was a mini fridge and a coffee maker. There was also a gas fireplace that would be cozy in winter. There is a restaurant in the inn and some within walking distance (within a block). There were some oddities with the room. There were no towel racks in the bathroom (same as the last time I stayed here) ... they were in a small nook next to the bathroom. There was no alarm clock so I used my cell phone to wake me up this morning. The couch was a long way away from the TV (I watched it sitting at the table). I realized this morning there was no phone in the room.

The hotel is also a convenient 2.5-hour drive from Toronto, making it a great option for a quick weekend getaway. That said, an honest note: the room was a bit small and felt somewhat outdated, and we did wish the common areas were cleaned more frequently, especially considering how many children use the facilities. Key codes are provided for the main door (at the side of the house) and the guest room. There is free parking, but only three obvious parking spots. Once those parking spots were filled, we parked on the side. There's a BBQ at the back of the house, and there are shared fridges in the kitchen to use. Breakfast is listed in what's offered at this location, but none is actually available. In the booklet of information in the kitchen, the part about breakfast is crossed out with a black marker. The website should be updated to reflect this. One of the reasons I chose to stay here was because breakfast was included.  The little containers of creamer for coffee had spoiled. We tried two, and when mixed with the coffee, there were clumps.  The lack of options for hanging clothing and surfaces to place things in the guest room was unfortunate. Having clothes hangers instead of an over-the-door hanger would've been great. The body wash in the shower was empty. Good thing we brought some with us.

The owners are amazing people who truly care about your comfort and joy in their beautiful and historic home. It is very close to many shops and parks but the scenery on the property itself is stunning! The rooms were extremely comfortable and I got the best sleep on the soft mattress! The kitchen is functional and very large, the dining room seats 6 people, and there are 2 living rooms to relax in as well. Not to mention the outdoor space has a patio and a bonfire pit! It is also very private. No nosy neighbors next to you at all! If you are searching for a place to stay, search no further. You will not be disappointed in any sort of way with the Woodbridge House. I hung my small kit in the bathroom and the rack came out of the wall. The sink has been caulked very messily. This place is probably 50 years old and hasn't been updated yet. The room has a refrigerator and microwave and small flat panel TV. No closet and the ironing board/iron is hung up the side of the room. There is no desk but a table with a lamp. They do have a mattress and box-spring bed. There is no exercise room. Some rooms have patio doors that lead right to their cars. I saw people with the doors open and it's not summer. Parking is inconvenient; not enough spaces near the door. Breakfast looks to be on the lower-end.

We got several follow ups from the concierge of the Inn including messages and phone calls. Unfortunately we were in Pelee Island at the time and cellular connection is very iffy there and they attempted repeatedly to get a hold of me. We received the codes for front door and the room and had no issues. Room is a modern'ish style and nicely put together. The bed was amazing! We'd been sleeping in what I would call the next step up from a board for past couple nights so we slept very well. No outside window so it's dark in the room 24/7. Coffee and tea were provided. The machines are in the hallway. If we ever come back to Kingsville, I'd for sure stay here again.

The owners had 2 restaurants and a cafe in town where I could use a gift card (not sure if all guests get one or if it was just part of my special deal); I used it at the restaurant--the nicer one, not the grill--where the food and wine was really really good! He might answer the phone and even ask you to text him when you're looking to stay because he isn't in the office. This is a fisherman's paradise. The parking lot out back is large enough to park your truck, boat and trailer. Fantastic!!! It get's better, they have a fish cleaning station and a trophy board for perfect picture opportunities. There is also power out at the parking lot so that you can charge your boat/trolling motor over night. SUPER CONVENIENT!! When staying here they make you feel like you're right at home. There is a common area with a tv, kitchen, dining room, shuffle board, ping pong table, books, board games and so much more. This is free for anyone to use while staying here. Our room was great. There was a sink, microwave and full size refrigerator/freezer, couch, tv and dining table in one large area. There was a separate bedroom and bathroom as well. I loved it. I highly recommend staying here if you're coming to Gross Ile! If you're a fisherman or guide you should really consider staying here. Book early because they fill up fast for the fishing season.
