    The Elvis room

What can I say about this hotel? What a hidden gem! The property is adorable and they have thought of every little detail and executed it spot on. Even calling to make a reservation and ask a few questions was delightful. I spoke to Johnathan and he was fantastic. He obviously cares about this property and it's guests. For example, when I called I mentioned that we were celebrating my husbands birthday and inquired if they could do anything for the stay. He asked if he enjoys light beer or dark and said there would be something waiting for him in the refrigerator. To my husbands delight he received a growler of their stout beer as a birthday gift! Attached to the hotel is the Grove Brewery. Very cool vibes and delicious food. You will want to check it out when you stay the night. The hotel has 18 rooms on 3 floors. It also has a little breakfast nook/lounge area. In the morning they have muffins and fruit and there are cookies throughout the day. What a lovely touch. After dinner we enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs. We stayed in the Elvis themed room which was perfect because my husband is a huge fan. This was a king deluxe room. It consisted of a small living room with a tv and some fabulous Elvis artwork on the walls. There was a bathroom with walk-in shower and then the bedroom which was super fun with leopard print wallpaper and shag pillows on the bed. There were robes in the room and a nice sized flat screen on the wall. Like I said, this place is a gem! The room prices were so reasonable. Move this hotel to any urban downtown area and you would expect to pay 3 times as much. We were spending the following day at Point Pelee National Park so this location was perfect for us but honestly, I would come back to Kingsville just to stay at this hotel and have a good meal in their Brewery.

Key codes are provided for the main door (at the side of the house) and the guest room. There is free parking, but only three obvious parking spots. Once those parking spots were filled, we parked on the side. There's a BBQ at the back of the house, and there are shared fridges in the kitchen to use. Breakfast is listed in what's offered at this location, but none is actually available. In the booklet of information in the kitchen, the part about breakfast is crossed out with a black marker. The website should be updated to reflect this. One of the reasons I chose to stay here was because breakfast was included.  The little containers of creamer for coffee had spoiled. We tried two, and when mixed with the coffee, there were clumps.  The lack of options for hanging clothing and surfaces to place things in the guest room was unfortunate. Having clothes hangers instead of an over-the-door hanger would've been great. The body wash in the shower was empty. Good thing we brought some with us.

I can confidently say that out of all the places we stayed in Canada, the Woodbridge House was our absolute #1 experience overall and will continue to be our #1 choice for any future stays! The owners are amazing people who truly care about your comfort and joy in their beautiful and historic home. It is very close to many shops and parks but the scenery on the property itself is stunning! The rooms were extremely comfortable and I got the best sleep on the soft mattress! The kitchen is functional and very large, the dining room seats 6 people, and there are 2 living rooms to relax in as well. Not to mention the outdoor space has a patio and a bonfire pit! It is also very private. No nosy neighbors next to you at all! If you are searching for a place to stay, search no further. You will not be disappointed in any sort of way with the Woodbridge House. If I could give them 100 stars I would!

We got several follow ups from the concierge of the Inn including messages and phone calls. Unfortunately we were in Pelee Island at the time and cellular connection is very iffy there and they attempted repeatedly to get a hold of me. We received the codes for front door and the room and had no issues. Room is a modern'ish style and nicely put together. The bed was amazing! We'd been sleeping in what I would call the next step up from a board for past couple nights so we slept very well. No outside window so it's dark in the room 24/7. Coffee and tea were provided. The machines are in the hallway. If we ever come back to Kingsville, I'd for sure stay here again.

Only things would mention is the heater in the bathroom wasn't working, and also some rugs would be nice. It's mostly hardwood floors everywhere. The room would be cozier with an area rug or 2. Plus one in the upstairs hall would help mute the sound of anyone walking around, like someone got up quite early both mornings I was there and it awakened me even though they were trying to walk quietly (I'm a light sleeper) Otherwise it was great! The cemetery nearby was lovely for walking around , and the Main Street area was easily within walking distance. The owners had 2 restaurants and a cafe in town where I could use a gift card (not sure if all guests get one or if it was just part of my special deal); I used it at the restaurant--the nicer one, not the grill--where the food and wine was really really good! Thanks for a great stay!
