Jeeze, where to start with this awesome group!? I gave up drinking and started a new career in Real Estate in April - my first day at my brokerage was a company outing where we had a suit with open bar at the Padres game. I was nervous to be meeting the entire company and all of our partners on my first day in a career I was brand new in so I decided to have a few drinks and being the social fly that I am, went with the flow of the crowd and over drank which led me to going into the next day and getting my 3rd dui. I was so miserable, ashamed, disgusted, embarrassed - I really didn't think I had a way out of this one. I knew I was going to end up having to quit my job along with my car being totaled and the thought of being in that much debt and having to work from the bottom again was just too much and I considered giving up on life for a few days because I knew with a 3rd dui and a .30 BAC with a collision - I was definitely looking at least a year in jail along with the programs that I've already been through two times previously. I hired an attorney from Yelp to represent me in court and ended up firing them after the very first court date. My attorney was horrible, he was charging a very low price but he seemed like he was a fish out of water. I guess you really do get what you pay for. The only good that came out of the first court date was that I saw nima haddadi arguing with a judge while defending his client. The judge was getting pretty aggressive but at the end he backed off because Nima just wouldn't give up.
