I've had some bad experiences at salons- crooked haircuts, hair dye that washed out the next day, hair dye all over my face and ears, terrible styling jobs...you name it. So I'm always on the edge when trying out a new stylist. Dena was phenomenal! She knew what I wanted just by studying my then current hair cut, and asked lots of questions to make sure she would give me just the right cut. She triple checked every cut and length. Even took the time to explain to me what she was doing. All I got was some soft layers and an evening up of the bottom length, but the cut she gave me is superb- it flatters my round face, parts where it naturally wants to, works with my crazy hair kinks, and feels so great. I also got an overall color and the shade she chose is spot on. She also explained all the products she was using without the pressure of buying them, though I did go back the next day to buy two because I loved them so much. And the best part of the whole experience was the head massage during the shampoo- GOOSE BUMPS everywhere. The salon is clean, comfortable and relaxing. I love this salon because it not only is really close to my house but everyone is extremely friendly! Everyone makes sure that you have a great experience when you're there. I love coming to this salon primarily though for my stylist Michelle. She is amazing! She has been my stylist for years and I would never trust anyone else with my hair. I am a very indecisive person when it comes to my hair and have always had difficulty describing what it is I want it to look like but Michelle has always been patient with me and made great suggestions. She is very sweet and a perfectionist! She will not let you walk out until you look PERFECT! I have gone to her before many events and she has always made me look amazing. I went here for a hair color correction since I had a bad experience at another salon and then I tried to fix the issue on my own with purple hair dye :/ The purple dye was on my hair for around 2 months and it was still very vibrant and staining so I was afraid that it was never going to come out. Luckily for me, I went here and Meagan really rescued my hair :) She got the dark purple color out without needing to damage my hair and I now have beautiful light brown color with blonde highlights. I am extremely happy with her expertise and the lovely atmosphere in the salon. The prices here are very reasonable too so that was just another added benefit. Michelle has been doing my hair for years, and I followed her to The Hair Color Salon from a previous location. She is the only person I trust with my hair- she understands my quirks and needs and always gives me excellent color, cuts and styles. She keeps up with new methods/trends and takes courses to stay up to date on her craft; she has great input on styling and products. Michelle also has a great personality- she makes the entire salon experience fun and relaxing. The Hair Color Salon is a great place to go overall. The girls at the front desk are very friendly and welcoming. I am always offered a drink and made comfortable. It's kept very clean and neat. And their shampoo room is amazing! Nancy has been doing my hair since I moved to Spring in 1993. For years people have stopped me on the street, in stores, at restaurants, etc. to ask me who does my hair. I carry her business cards right along side mine because I got tired of having to look up her number on my phone. :-) Nancy has kept me from having many bad days because a bad hair day for me is a bad day all the way around (yes, I am that vain). Great salon. Great atmosphere. From the moment you walk in they really go out of their way to make it an experience, not a chore. Racheal Boretski is AMAZING. She's the only person I trust with my hair and I'd follow her anywhere, so I'm ecstatic that she chose such a great salon to move to. She has taken be from blond with highlights to a gorgeous red with golden highlights over the years and I always get so many compliments on my hair.
