Openwater Church is a place where the holy spirt is active. This church is amazing! Pastor David's service's speak the true word of God...he is passoinate leader of God. Tonya (his wife) has a wonderful heart. She is always a big help for others and runs the day to day affairs of the Church. This church has many, life saving programs like Celebration Recovery, Marriage in Motion, Youth Group and others...all members and Chruch leaders are wonderful and very kind. The children leaders are very passionate to teach even the litte ones the bible stories. It was so cute to hear our little Juliette (3 year old) this morning. I asked her if she knew who God is and she replied "God has a good plan for me" .... that was one of the messages during the summer camp that she attended. I always feel safe leaving my little ones in the nursary. Mrs. Ruthy (children ministry leader) goes above and beyond to make sure all the kidos are happy and safe. The music is very moving, it feels like we are at an amazing concert. Billy (the band leader) is extreamly talented! There are many talented musitians at this church. The holy spirit just shines through all the wonderful harmonious voices and instruments. I am very blessed and thankful to all the staff at the Open Water Church. I had been attending a megachurch and was a bit skeptical when I first visited Openwater. I was impressed by the talented and sincere musicians that lead in worship and Pastor Dave's messages are thoughtfully prepared and excellently delivered. What really impressed me though was the transparency of the pastor and his wife! They openly admit they are flawed and imperfect (now isn't THAT refreshing?!) and that it's OK for us to have issues too. Excellent programs for kids and teenagers. Our family has been going to Openwater Church for 16 years. We enjoy going there and we have raised our children through their Bible youth studies there. We call this home, as it has become the extension to our family. Our church is Bible-based in teaching and our pastor teaches us how to apply it to everyday living. Open Water Church is an excellent and friendly church. The casual style is welcoming and accepting. The pastor teaches sound biblical doctrine in a straightforward and casual style. The theology is sound and biblically based. There are many programs at this church for youth, teens, marriage (MIM), those struggle with various challenges in life (Celebrate Recovery). The music is contemporary yet reverent. I moved here from Idaho and started attending this church in 2017 . I love this church. There are 3 pastors and each one provides an incredible talent to the various ministries; from music to preaching to marriage counseling and more! The environment is very warm and friendly. My wife, granddaughter and I have been attending Openwater Church for about 1.5 years. My granddaughter is always eager to attend Sunday services and special events. An amazing Church! Very down to earth and comfortable. No mega church feel here. We have been attending for five years after our church merged with a local mega. Pastor is knowledgeable and passionate. He has expanded our understanding of the bible past the basics which allowed us a closer relationship with God. People are friendly and active. I have been going to Openwater for years.The members are a mix of all ages from 80 years (me) to couples with children.Members include many different races and Americans from Brazil to Ireland.It is big enough to offer a variety of religious activities but small enough to make you feel right at home.
