We wanted something green (a salad) before retiring for an early evening -- this ruled out restaurants as they don't open till 9pm. And, we wanted some thing somewhat nice in a location most tourists don't find. So, we dropped into Bar Kopas. They advertised salads (in Spanish of course) out front. What we found was: - They charged for service (added to the tab) for bread we did not ask for - They added 10% tax (so their prices were not full VAT) - They charged A LOT for two glasses of water - Their chicken salad with dried fruits (their English menu) had some nice chick, but was 1/3 onions and olives. No dried fruit. - Service was poor. We did not feel welcome at all. I would AVOID this place. Please don't repeat our mistake.

Crêpes de atún con espárragos is tuna salad in a crepe with white asparagus tips stuffed in. A beautiful and very filling pinxto. For a spicy tapa we had anchoa rellena de fritada which has spicy green peppers on top of filet of anchovie. As you sit outside on the street where the bulls run during the festival of San Fermin, you can drink your beer or wine and imagine what it may be like to be with Hemingway, since nothing has changed in the neighborhood since before that era.
