I would not recommend this florist to any future brides. Christine seemed to not be happy to work with me from the beginning when I mentioned phale orchids. Despite this and waiting 20 days for her to get back from vacation, I booked a consultation. Due to family reasons I needed to reschedule but Christine decided she had no interest anymore and would rather meet with another couple who inquired about our wedding date after us. Guess waiting over 20 days for her schedule means she cant wait 1 day for us. While I understand that florists can only do one wedding day, I do not know why Christine decided to treat me as such an inconvenience to her and have a rude tone in her emails. I hope she learns to be more professional and watches her tone in the future. read more

Christine was a joy to work with! We had a small wedding of about 50 people, and planned it all in about 3 months. Despite not much lead time, Christine pulled together the most beautiful floral arrangements I've ever seen! She was incredibly responsive and gave us a timeline from the beginning of when we'd check in, when we needed to have final numbers, etc. We met to go over flower choices and she was so helpful in making my vision come to life. She was detail-oriented, adaptable, creative and such fun to work with. I felt so special on my wedding day and having the bouquet I had dreamt of made it even more special. read more

From the moment I met Chris (the owner) and saw her floral arrangements, I knew she was the one to do the flowers for our wedding. Chris has an amazing personality, was always available for me, and gave me great suggestions based upon what I requested for my bouquets and centerpieces. She was open, honest and the flowers exceeded my expectations. I wanted some personal touches added to my bouquet and she was more than happy to offer some great ideas. I especially liked how when I asked her about certain options, she was completely honest and didn't steer me to spend more money. In fact, one flower I liked, she said how it would cost me a lot more money and it wouldn't be all that noticeable. I feel like most business owners would steer you towards spending more money, but she definitely was not like that. On my wedding day, the bouquets arrived on time and were breathtaking!! Once I finally saw the centerpieces, I couldn't believe how beautiful they were! Everything from meeting with her to actually seeing the finished product was nothing short of fabulous. The Harwinton Florist did our wedding flowers a year ago. We didn't want much- just the bride's bouquet, corsages and boutineers. The owner wasn't pushy and listened to our ideas. She worked with our meager budget and gave us EVERYTHING we wanted. Her designs were gorgeous. She delivered the flowers to our house on time. The box she held the flowers in was even constructed beautifully! All in all, we had a great experience with Harwinton Florist and my sister will be using them for her wedding. read more

Very disappointing. Flowers were poor quality and the wrong color (pink instead of orange!) Chris the owner seemed nice and organized during our initial meetings, unfortunately it was all very misleading. The bouquets we received looked nothing like the pictures in her office, rather wilted and poor quality. Pink roses are more common and I assume cheaper. The free flowers we got at our reception venue were much healthier and more vibrant. (and the correct color) We unfortunately did not know better, I hope to save other brides from this disappointment. read more

I used the Harwinton Florist for our wedding in 2007. I priced around everywhere and had decided there was just no way I could afford what I really wanted. I had even started designing my own silk arrangments. When I met with the owner and explained what I wanted, she talked me through ways I could save money and get exactly what I was looking for by limiting variations of roses she told me she could order in bulk and then pass the savings on to me. To this day people who see pictures of my wedding still comment on how beautiful my flowers were. She did an amazing job in designing something that worked with my budget and really exceeded my expectations! I couldn't have thanked her enough and refer anyone I know to her. Chris did an amazing job with my flowers! All I wanted was a bouquet for myself and a boutonniere for my fiancé. I called about 2 months before my wedding because I had no idea what I wanted to do for flowers, and Chris was so accommodating. I knew I was cutting it close and that I would have a hard time getting a florist, but she said that she luckily had a little availability for that weekend and could do my flowers. We had a phone consultation because I live out of state and I sent her some pictures of what I like. When I got the flowers the day of my wedding I was shocked at how perfect they were. They were the exact colors and flowers I had asked for and the bouquet was so pretty. The price was also incredibly reasonable. I would definitely recommend this shop! read more

We used Harwinton Florist for my wedding flowers a couple of weeks ago and we definitely made the right decision! My mom did a lot of research on florists in our area and when she came across Harwinton Florist she KNEW this was who we had to work with. When we had our first meeting with Chris, she asked us so many questions so she had a clear idea of what my vision was. She took such detailed notes on everything I said, we were really impressed! Months later there was a follow up meeting where Chris read back all her notes on us and asked us if we had any updates and/or changes that needed to be made. My main concern was the flower halo that she would be making for me to wear on my wedding day. I was concerned because, that was something that had to be made just a couple days before the wedding, so the flowers would stay fresh and I wouldn't be able to see it until the morning of my wedding...If I didn't like it, there wasn't much I could do about it. But oh my goodness- when I saw that halo I was thrilled. Chris was so thorough on listening to the colors, style and thickness that I wanted- and this crown came out even better than I could have ever imagined. The halo, the bouquets, boutonnieres, large table arrangements, centerpieces, and all the little flower details for the ceremony came out amazing. Harwinton Florist did such a wonderful job for my daughter's wedding. Christine Roy is such an easy person to deal with. I have worked in the floral business and was very specific as to what I wanted and she exceeding all our expectations. The bouquets were unique and very beautiful. My daughter had an idea about her bouquets and table centerpieces. Chris did a wonderful job and went out of her way to find the best way to fill the order with candles, frames, and of course beautiful flowers. Chris did a phenomenal job with the flowers for our daughter's wedding August 6, 2016. They were simply stated and everything that our daughter wanted. She asked all the right questions and was very clear as to the vision. Everything was delivered to the hotel and the church in a timely fashion. Chris was even gracious enough to keep the Hawaiian orchid leis that we ordered in her shop so that they would stay cool. She then brought them to the church for distribution. Chris did a phenomenal job working with a bride who lives in Washington state and a mother of the bride in Virginia. She was always available and responsive. read more
