An interesting choice, but not my favorite food truck. My family chose to have hot dogs for dinner, and we were so excited to give The Haute Dog Lady a try. We moved from Michigan and haven't been able to find a good Coney dog in South Carolina, so my husband was estatic to see Coney dogs on the menu. We ordered two coney dogs, two jumbo dogs, one kids meal, and nachos for our group of 5. After placing our order, we were just kind of left to wait. I wasn't given a total, asked to pay, told it would be up in X minutes, etc... I thought that the person working was kind, but not very communicative. When our order was finally ready (about 10 minutes later), everything was passed out in open containers one by one. It was hard to carry so much by myself and I had to ask for something to put it in. I thought it common sense to see a person, alone, with 8 items wouldn't be able to carry 8 food items that were in no packaging. She just kept handing me things while she looked for a styrofoam box (like a to go box) and I had to leave my food on the ground to take the box from her. It seemed like the truck was unprepared for "to go orders". No bags, no containers with lids, etc. Not even a table to set food on while organizing. This was the most disappointing part of using this food truck and the reason I'm removing one star. The food itself was alright but not spectacular. The Coney dog was extremely disappointing. It is not a good Coney dog and our search for an authentic style Coney dog will continue. Their chili for the Coney dog was more sweet and tasted like BBQ sauce more than it did chili. My hot dog was missing toppings, even though she said the correct toppings when she read it back to me. For the price, I expected better order accuracy and was hoping for a more authentic style Coney dog. This is the reason that I removed another star. Overall, I'd likely not give this truck another try, but it definitely wasn't the worst in the world either. It may be someone's favorite but it certainly wasn't mine. read more

My experience was mediocre, at best. The lady who served us was quite abrupt and offered very little in terms of customer service. As such, it's a hard pass. We had much higher expectations for this food. It's a shame that such a seemingly promising idea failed to deliver. read more

I ordered the nachos XXL and Philly cheese. The food was very bland and nachos were stale. The price and the food quality does not match at all. Tried giving the food truck a second chance after ordering a hotdog and seeing the food truck owner handle a coworker's food with her bare hands. Never again. read more

This lady is awesome. Her food truck comes to my job quite often. Excellent customer service. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. She is so sweet. And her food is always very good. She also sells spicy sausage and nachos. I recommend hotdogs though. Definitely deserves five stars. read more

I had my first visit from The Haute Dog Lady today at our office complex and I was very pleasantly surprised! The food was high-quality and very tasty and not like your traditional "hot dogs". The condiments they used were hand-made and very tasty. Make sure you try the Hawaiian or the O-Zone! Even the lemonade is hand-squeezed with no off-the-shelf powder. It was very unique and Gisela was very professional and customer-oriented. At the Labor Day festival, didn't know we were spending so much for hot dogs. OVER $50 for 4 meals: two kids meals for a 5 y/o and 3y/o (hot dog, chips and lemonade), two Polish sausage dog meals (sausage, chips, lemonades). THAT IS CRAZY!! Prices were not listed on the menu, but no one thinks a hot dog would be crazy expensive! If I would have heard the price when my husband paid I would have cancelled the order. The lady and her friend were working hard- always willing to support the small businesses, but when the price is this extreme for nothing to write home about, I can't justify paying over $50 for this food after tax and CC fee. That is the price for two filet mignon dinners. I didn't get to go back to speak with her because by the time I knew how much everything was, we had left with our two kids. I found the menu online but still don't see prices listed. I feel it was a rip off. I did ask my husband what he heard the amount to be and he thought she said $30.24- he learned after he paid the true amount. read more

Best Hot Dog I've Ever Had!!! The homemade chili, sauerkraut, and relish is out of this world. I recommend her to anyone for any event. She is very friendly and personable. I eat like a bird, and I actually ate the first hot dog and had to get a second one, and ate all of it. Now that's miraculous!!!
