Well allow me to help..... Stop, .....here and now....! Your big day is going to be stressful and there is an unbelievable amount to do... its easy getting 80% of the way there, the last 20% is a nightmare.... That's the 20% that you as the bride and groom need to focus on, leave the rest to the professionals. Sarah and I had decided to have separate companies covering marquee, caterer, loos etc., but by chance we heard about Superevent, so came to see them....after 20 minutes with Tony and Chrystelle, we decided to give them the whole event as they put us at such ease that it was the easiest decision of the whole wedding. Added to which, the tasting event that they put on is for you to sample the many different food courses and see what the marquee will look like, is absolutely fantastic and should not be missed. When they say the food that you taste there is what you are going to get.... That is the truth, our food was not only amazing, it looked, was presented and tasted fabulous, it was hot and there was plenty of it. Everyone we spoke to stated that it was the best outside catering they had experienced. Our chef, Richard and Steve as the event controller, were both the essence of professional, every whim catered for and ever special dietary need accommodated, as well as both having a wonderful sense of humour. There was nothing more they could have done to make their part of the event go any better. Bullet points from me to you. 1. Use SuperEvent for your wedding.....Chrystelle is the epitome of event organisation, you will see this as soon as you start dealing with her, she knows what you want before you do, and handles Tony incredibly well. ( He is a bit nuts...) 2. Listen to Tony's recommendations, he has done it before.... Every recommendation he gave that we took, worked out for the best. 3. Beware the mini burgers as a canapé, the red relish squirts out....! 4. In the middle of the event....... Stop and both of you wander out to a corner of the marquee and have a look at all the friends and family that you have there for you.... It's a fantastic scene. I cannot stress how professional, knowledgeable and accommodating they all are, but also they have a great sense of humour yet their feet are firmly on the ground. The team are very understanding and nothing is too much trouble, they are very professional. They were recommended to me by a couple of friends and they made my wedding day and lead up to it absolutely amazing. They always kept in contact and constantly updating my documents throughout the 9 months, when it came to checking through all the details of the wedding a few weeks before the wedding, there wasn't one thing that was missed off the list, they are extremely efficient. They probably had 5+ events happening the same weekend as my wedding and you would never have known. They made me feel like the only customer they had. They always returned my calls, answered queries quickly and tailor made their wedding package around our needs. After our wedding we were in inundated with compliments about our day, the smooth running of the staff and the fantastic food. It's heavily panelled and rather large, I understand they do a good food offering but I was most impressed with their ale selection. OK, Harveys is the (excellent) regular in these parts but they also offer Larkins and a have a couple of guest ales available. They did two Dark Star bitters that were really well kept. The young barman was well informed about 'em too. I think they rotate Hobgoblin on occasion. This is all good, there aren't enough places doing unusual pints in TW for my money. Hard to say much more but I'll return for some chow & update accordingly. Friendly with potential. Three stars!

There is a large free car park here where you can sit in your car with a hot drink looking across the view on a hot day. The food available is not fancy but perfect for after a walk, ie bacon rolls, chips, bugers. There is a range of hot and cold drinks and I am personally rather fond of the hot chocolate topped with foamy cream!! In the summer we normally opt for ice creams and they actually stayed open an extra couple of minutes one day to serve us as we arrived at closing time. Can get quite busy at peak times and this is a very popular spot for bikers though the clientele varies, from families both young and old, dog walkers and horse riders!

First the fireworks...well we had the music and we had fireworks - had sort of had taken a bonfire on bonfire night as a gimme but actually not...boo hoo. Then started 15 minutes late because of traffic (hmm again), but no big deal...however about 20 minutes later it all kind of stopped, a mini restart then nothing. Everyone stood around waiting, no clapping as we all expected it to restart...in the end we all drifted away back to the cars... Yup, chaos...30 minutes to move about a car length...about an hour to get out...good thing it was just the 2 of us & no kids... All in all great start but no real delivery...disappointing...shame really...lot of people saying they would go to Barnham's next year The real question is - what is it like on race days, because we would like to go sometime but we certainly don't fancy a repeat of that

Families happily use this pub. The food is ok. I have eaten better pub food. The square plates annoyed me! This pub likes its Real ale and keeps it well. There is also cider available. Usually 3 to purchase. The pub caters for functions such has private parties and weddings. There is live music n every two weeks. Quiz nights and Karoke can be found here. The staff are very welcoming and has the feel of a family run venue.

Wanted to give a detailed review of this place as it was my first-ever England trip and first hotel…read morethere. As earlier review said, beautiful grounds, real English-garden style, very old, interesting history, but for a first timer from America, you need to be aware of the following, especially the first item. The mgt acknowledged that the place was in a cellphone "blank spot" and were trying to remedy it, but no target date for that. The place had just come under new mgt (Sept 2017) and were appreciative of feedback like the below. None of this would be as bad for someone with a rental car, but I didn't rent a car as I didn't want to deal with the left-side driving my first time there, and was at the mercy of cabs. Anyway, if you LIKE remote and don't mind non-enabled cellphone while you're there, it's a great getaway. The whole area feels like it's back in time a couple hundred years...or more. - no cell phone service in this area, confirmed by worker there, cabbie couldn't ring me up till he got two miles or so back towards town. Place is remote enough from nearest town (East Grinstead) that pizza guys there won't deliver..had to go fetch one myself. - no clocks in room - no wifi network info in the info-book in rooms, you have to look and guess (I found the right one, didn't need a pw, others did), wifi speed was decent, better than Heathrow airport (which was intolerably slow, gave up) - someone maybe or maybe not available at front desk on weekends (no one answered either of the "for assistance" numbers posted at 1pm Sat) when I got there, key & sign-in sheet was laid out on counter - no way for outsiders to call a room directly, has to go through front desk and be manually transferred, so if there's no one at desk they you can't get a call in, and with no cell phone service...you get it - fire bell in room went off 10pm from cigarette/smoke detector in great hall / party next door, maybe that's good - no ice machines, or none that I was told about - restaurant is only open for scheduled things, like Sunday breakfast / brunch event - no bathtubs, corner showers only - clean, but rooms small, doors tight/close together (this was an old manor house, typical European sort of style) - beds are sort of low-height/low-budget type, not like the big/tall puffy things you get in the corporate hotels, more like a BnB
