Dr Robb is amazing. We were in and out in 10 minutes with exact diagnosis. No need for unnecessary scans, he simply looked in my ear to see what the issue was. He took a picture to show me the issue. Search no more, the hearing clinic is here! Scheduling is incredibly simple -- they scheduled me in for a hearing test right away. I arrived ten minutes late for my appointment (and felt terrible), but Dr. Gardner and the lady at the front were very kind! Though, I was the first patient of the day. Dr. Gardner was very well-mannered, thorough, and was able to answer any questions I had. At the end, I went to the front to pay, but found that the first hearing consultation is free! Dr. Rob Gardner is so amazing. After a lot of urging from my wife regarding my hearing (or lack thereof) I went to one of the 9 Health Fairs where I met Dr. Rob. He listened to my concerns and he tested me there. It wasn't surprising that I have significant hearing loss from my years as a local musician. He got me into my first set of hearing aids and after a couple of years, I wanted something better. He had me try a new pair... bluetooth, rechargable and my life really improved. He has always been there to answer questions or help. Just yesterday, my left aid went out. I emailed him at 7pm and he responded right away and got me in today. He fixed my hearing aid and I was back in stereo again listening to my audiobook on the way home. I'm sure he isn't always there in the early evenings but I know he genuinely cares. I trust him. Have trusted The Heaing Clinic for a couple years. Recently took my mother in to have her ears (for wax) and hearing aids repaired. Was told there was a little wax but nothing to be concerned about. By dinner she had completely lost all her hearing. Couldn't hear us yelling and was in tears all night. Unimaginable stress on all of us. They suggested we see a hearing specialist; spent a day trying to find a doc that could fit us in. After one willing to squeeze us in said they would need a current hearing test, The Hearing Clinic got us in early the next morning. Dr. Robb discovered 'impacted' wax. After he took out, she could hear. Sent a letter with questions and a suggestion of returning Mom's money but no response. We like this clinic and the staff. I admit it, I'm really, really picky when it comes to my Docs. And, I love music, the Theater, good food and conversation. So, when I admitted that my hearing was shot a few years back (I'm not an old guy, years of scuba and Rock have taken their toll) I went and got the best aids I could find. I haven't been happy with any Audi, they all seem to be hearing aid salesmen. I work in computers and have been a sound engineer. I UNDERSTAND the technology. Dr. Robert Gardner is the best I've found. He took the time to understand my frustrations with my hearing aids, did the usual sound testing. Recommended some new aids. Then, he tuned up my current aids. He's the only guy who actually shoved one into his ear and listened to it to figure out what was wrong with it! Then, he rebuilt them, showing me how I could do a rebuild on my own if I really wanted. Then, he reprogrammed the old ones. He didn't simply shove in a new program, he fine tuned it talking to me and interactively changing the programing, customizing it to my particular problems. I got my Lyrics elsewhere and needed an adjustment before leaving town. My original clinic closes early on Fridays so I came to The Hearing Clinic. I have traveled all over the states needing batteries at times or an adjustment. From LA to New York I've never found anyone more accommodating and understanding. I was told when I went to this office that I could run my claim through insurance, however I was also told I had to pay up front for the whole amount. Which I did. Then we did a nearly 6 month process of it going through insurance, and insurance saying I owed less than half of what The Hearing Clinic said I owed. (I paid $7K up front by the way). They refused to refund me the difference of almost $4K. I was told that I had received "upgrades" without any documentation of that being the case over the amount billable to insurance. I had signed a receipt that did NOT explain anything about balance billing practices (which is what that is). It took me getting very nasty with both my insurance company as well as an attorney. Recently, after a very contentious phone call, Dr. Gardner offered to give me all my money back and we all part ways. He refused to honor the price that was negotiated with my insurance. What a terrible, terrible experience. I cannot recommend this business. read more

Mike M. Robert is extremely welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I met him for the first time 1/23/18 regarding a problem I was having with my aid and he almost immediately figured out what the problem was and corrected it. During our discussions I learned things that would have affected my most recent choice of a hearing aid (from a different vendor) since it would have altered my choice and helped me with a problem I have when driving since I only have hearing in my left ear! I don't like replacing my aid often since it always takes time to adjust to the new sound, but am actually looking forward to when my current one needs replacement in order to take advantage of the solution he mentioned. If I could leave zero stars I would do so. This office required I prepay for my hearing aids and then told me they would run my bill through insurance and refund me after insurance decided my responsibility. Now they say I am actually responsible for that full amount and the insurance amount applied is just that, *applied* to the balance of the full amount. That's $7000 I paid out of pocket. I had a phone conversation with Ira and then was told I would get a phone call back "within two days" on the matter and just got a call back 3 weeks later - which I have not returned as I have already escalated the claim with my insurance as it seems to me they are in breach of their agreement with my insurance. Of course, Ira told me on the phone call "insurance companies don't understand hearing aid clinics". Your office told me "in network", you're listed in my insurance as "in network" and now are trying to everything you can to get around that and balance bill me. I absolutely cannot recommend this office after this billing practice has been made apparent to me. read more

Rob continues to go above and beyond all services, offering care that any other clinic would have charged for. Contacted them to get a hearing test. It was easy to schedule an appointment. Doctor Gardner and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They started my test on time and it went well. Everything was explained and I got a copy of the test results to take with me. I am not quite ready for hearing aids yet but their use and types were explained to me so when I am ready I will go back and get a pair. I like techie stuff so the Bluetooth ones should be fun. I cannot recommend The Hearing Clinic highly enough! First there's the friendliness and care that was shown to me by Patty at the front desk and by Dr. Gardner. Then there was the patience that Dr. Gardner had with me as I had questions, concerns and adjustments - time and time again. He always made me feel that my concerns were valid and would find adjustments to help me. I got hearing aids here. Was very unimpressed with the adjustment of them afterwards. I basically was told that anything he could do, I could do with the app. Not true. After about 1 1/2 years I made an appt because I could barely hear anything with them. I went and a new young employee-Isaiah maybe,not rob gardner, was there. He said well it looks likeyou haven't changed the wax guards recently. The what?? He showed me a pack of black sticks with a teeny small white end. He then demonstrated how you remove the tip off your hearing aid with one end, and thenreplace it with a new one from the other end. Well I could hear much better! So what's the problem? In many visits and at the time of purchase, never did rob gardner show those to me or give me any.Isaiah gave me one pack with instructions to change them every month or 2. So after years of having the same ones no wonder I was having problems hearing! Kind of defeats the purpose of spending$6,000 on hearing aids if you're not instructed properly on how to care for them. After I used up the pack of wax guards, I stopped by to pick up more and was informed by the lady at the desk, that mine were over 2 years old so she could sell them to me, but not give them to me.Even after I explained I had not been receiving any as I had not even know about them! I had an excellent audiologist before I moved here and the differenc was marked. Yes, rob gardner is all smiles andfriendly and happy faced, but that does not make up for lack of care. read more

I developed tinnitus two months ago and have spent countless hours on the internet trying to get a better understanding of it. I met with another ear doctor whose only agenda was to sell me an expensive hearing aid. I bought the hearing aid elsewhere and contacted that doctor regarding programming it and she wanted to charge me $1,000 which included repeat visits. When I met with Dr. Gardner, he programmed my ear pieces and told me there is no need for repeat visits. He spent time with me explaining what tinnitus is and its many causes. He also told me the truth about the aids...they don't cure tinnitus but make it manageable. The other doctor implied it could cure my tinnitus. I encourage everyone to do their homework when it comes to your health and find a doctor like Gardner who actually cares and isn't selling snake oil. He was very kind and the reception staff was very kind. All around great experience. I'm sad to see there aren't more reviews of him. read more

Outstanding, careful, thorough and thoughtful - that's what I can say about my experience with Rob when I took my 88 year-old Dad to see him yesterday. Rob was kind to both my dad and me when we visited him to tend my dad's ears and have his hearing aids adjusted. His hearing aids were badly out of adjustment and once Rob made the necessary changes to the them, neither my dad nor I could believe the difference it made. We were thrilled with the experience.
