I have documented mold and water damage in my unit since May, and despite repeated notifications, management has failed to resolve the issue. I have been displaced from my leased apartment since September, with no access to the unit I am paying for. Management continues to withhold compensation until "repairs are complete," even though their repeated delays are the direct cause of the ongoing habitability issues. The property manager refuses to provide written confirmation regarding the presence or absence of mold. When I requested mold-testing documentation, I was informed that the results could not be released without regional approval -- yet the regional manager has been completely unresponsive for over two months. My cameras confirm that no certified mold specialist has entered the unit, contradicting management's claim that testing occurred. I was temporarily placed in a unit that had a broken window that did not lock, shattered glass on the ground, and nighttime disturbances involving individuals banging on the window, creating an unsafe environment. The unit was never properly cleaned or secured before placing me in it. Management has also disclosed personal information to other tenants without my consent, violating basic privacy standards. Staff communication is hostile, inconsistent, and dismissive, and emails and phone calls are routinely ignored. Mail pickup is restricted to unreasonable hours, creating additional barriers for residents. I paid $250 for a unit transfer after only two months of occupancy; no repainting occurred, no carpet was steamed, and only minimal cleaning was performed. That unit is now uninhabitable due to water damage and mold, and management still refuses responsibility. This complex has repeatedly shown a pattern of negligence, misrepresentation, and unsafe practices. Do not lease here.

One star is not low enough. The Annex of Ruston is the most unsafe, ghetto apartment near campus…read more There are shootings in the parking lot all the time, cars are stolen from the "gated" area. The gate has not worked in three + years. The parking lot and hall ways smell like dr*gs. I fear for my life going to and from my car every day. Management is aware of all these issues and does nothing to fix them. DO NOT LIVE HERE. During the day it looks like a nice apartment area, but at night it gets scary. REALLY scary. Also, do not use the gym. Homeless people hide in there in the dark.

Centenary College of Louisiana - 2023 Graduation

Centenary College. Initially, I was terrified, because as a single mother, a private school meant big bucks. I knew that Centenary College was one of the best schools in the south, my son was academically a good fit, but I never thought we would be able to manage the financial side of it. Centenary was helpful in so many ways: The admission counselor was welcoming, knowledgeable and a great resource of information for what to expect. The finance department not only gave us forms to fill out but found scholarships and grants that made tuition affordable and possible. Had my son not lived on campus, he would not have had any student loans, which says a lot in itself. Throughout the entire process, administration and faculty were champions for my son. The landscape is stunning and the size of the campus is cozy. It is a wonderful fit for any student who is not interested in getting lost in the crowd of large universities. Personal attention from professors is what I believe make this school a gem. Students have one on one experience and interaction with faculty, staff and administration. As a parent with another student in a state university, I can say without a doubt that Centenary College far exceeds the public experience. As a member of the community, I have been involved with many of the programs and community events that Centenary has to offer. I have attended art events at The Meadows Museum, athletic games at the Gold Dome, music and theater events at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse to name just a few. Centenary College builds community beyond it enrollment!

Been here for a year and for the money you pay its not worth it at all. Most of what the promise…read morein their advertising is false. Secure parking? Parking is available for an extra $40 per month, but not so secure. Free basic cable? For a small fee of $10 per month. Animal friendly? No dog run...pet droppings all over the place...vicious animals are allowed...person was bit by a very aggressive large breed dog. Zero communication from the management. Very unprofessional atmosphere. It also very noisy here. Not only from the downtown area, which can be expected, but from residents in the halls. Slamming doors. Loud music etc. also, one fact that is never mentioned is the constant never ending trains blasting their horns because of a KCS train yard right behind the property. I have never had a positive experience while living here. My recommendation is to never ever lease from here.

This review is for the United Jewelers Apartments. This is my second time to live here. The first,…read morein 2010, was fine. Now I am saying, don't move in here! The conditions are deplorable. Management staff changed in May and it's been a steady downward spiral. Nothing is ever clean, no one picks up after their animals, there is animal feces everywhere. The "secure" parking lot, that we pay $40 per month to park in, is far from secure. The dumpsters are overflowing with not only trash but also discarded furniture. There is an overwhelming smell of garbage all through the building because the reverse air system for the trash room doesn't work. Building access doors are propped open so just anyone can wander in. Pedestrian access gate is rarely closed. Mind you you're supposed to have a key fob to access the gates and doors to get in the building. The elevator is sketchy and the air doesn't work in it. My husband got stuck in it once as have other people. Contractors, whom I suspect are family of management, working here usually park in the handicapped spaces and leave their trailers and supplies here for days. Landscaping crew, a bunch of kids, came in and butchered most of the trees and shrubs. Cars are parked in here with expired tags, inspection stickers and NO parking stickers, all of which, according to the lease, are required. There have been several parties at the pool area since we've been here. Glasses bottles, food, pool toys, and just trash in general is left scattered all around the pool area. The pool had to be drained and cleaned on one occasion because some drunken person threw a BBQ pit in it. Maintenance requests go unanswered or half completed at best. I had a package stolen from the apartment office. A couple on the floor with us was breeding pit bulls. All animals here, per the lease, are to be spayed or neutered, and no aggressive breeds are allowed, also per the lease. A person in the Lee Hardware Apartments behind us was bitten by a Rottweiler in that building, that dog was not neutered. Most of the staff is rude and unresponsive and have no knowledge of what is in the lease they have you sign. Our lease is up next month thank the Lord. We are paying $1020, parking included, a month for a 2 bedroom apartment in this place. We can't wait to leave. I had to put at least one star to post my review, but believe me one star is one star too much.
