The door was open when I stopped by one morning. People were invited to come in, and so I did. Inside it feels solemn, spiritual and calm. This is truly a peaceful place. The grounds are beautiful. There is also an old cemetery around it. Some of the gravestones mark people who passed more than a century ago. But many of them have shell leis draped across them. People commune with the past here. There is also a labyrinth on the grounds where you can walk and ponder for a while.

On this trip to Hanalei, I had to see what was new because it had been at least 7 years since I had been on island. My only complaint about the clothing line itself is that their spaghetti strap dresses do not contain a shelf bra, so if you are on the bigger chest side of the spectrum, this may be difficult unless you have a really good strapless bra. From the moment I walked in, I was met with some high-pressure sales which was a major turn off. I have tried on their dresses before, but they are just not flattering on my body type. I am not fond of strapless bras because they tend to smash large breasts, and are too hot to wear, especially in the humidity of Kauai. Their line is stunning, and they have beautiful shirts for men as well. The dresses come with pockets which is a plus, but their items are extremely pricey, at $239+ per dress. Once again, I left empty handed due to the high-pressure sales, high prices, and lack of shelf bra incorporated into their dresses. I therefore I opted to wear a beautiful and colorful spaghetti strap dress with pockets and a shelf bra from Marshalls for $29.99 and still looked stunning. There is a location in Kapa'a as well. Beautiful clothing and 100% worth looking at.

The woman running this location has a non-pushy and welcoming persona that exudes Zen. Prices are reasonable, and the sales astounding. I found a handmade, multi-colored shift from Tibet with gold thread woven into the fabric for $10, marked down from over $60. Not that you could ever feel stressed out on Kaua'i (OK, maybe "rush hour" on Kuhio would do it), but Divine Planet's got yer om right here.

I am a tenant who has been very sick ever Since I moved into my apartment and I was starting to suspect there could be water damage or mold. The inspector found lots of water damage, and then falsified the report. The company would not even give me a copy of the report, I had to fight for it, and when I finally got it, all of the saturated walls and wet spots were completely removed from the report. My landord made a deal with them and erased the evidence. Then I decided to call Eco Kauai, and Justin came out to do inspection. Night and day difference in the entire experience. He was professional, very communicative, and when I told him about my nightmare, he assured me I was in good hands and that he would report everything honestly, and that is exactly what he did. The inspection found the same water damage as the first company, and even more because Justin's inspection was so thorough and looked in other rooms as well. My landlord tried to intimidate him first, and then he tried to feel him out to see if he would take a bribe by saying "hey come over onto my property I want to show you something", and honestly my heart dropped because I wondered if it was happening all over again....BUT NOPE. He respectfully stood his ground, and he was extremely professional. He treated me in such a courteous way, even though he knew he would get zero remediation work from this situation. The report is very thorough and has every detail. He knows his stuff, and is extremely well versed in way more than just mold. He patiently answered my every question. If you want a company that will do the right thing NO MATTER WHAT, call Eco Kauai. Someone who puts that much time and care into a free inspection regardless of the outcome, and says no to dirty money HAS INTEGRITY. You can trust this company to handle your home with care. I have been coming here for 15 years and used to find a bargain or two but no more. I have to agree with others that have posted recently. Since Helen M. retired and the shop is now under new management, the prices have become way too high! $25 for a rusty cast iron skillet? $14 for a torn and soiled tote? $18 for a cotton dress from target? Anything that is even remotely vintage is priced as high as you would pay in an antique store. $20 for a sugar bowl, no creamer. $20 for an aluminum tray? $5 for a faded curtain valance not even 1 yard long? They do not have daily sales and now many price tags have the word "firm" on them. The day I was there the place was packed, both with goods for sale and people but oddly enough not many were buying. I guess that tells the story right there. read more

On May 27, 2026, I purchased from the Seller, Hunter Gather, at its shop located at 4270 Kilauea…read moreRd, Ste I-1, Kauai, HI 96754, four items including small crystal sculpture of a turtle approximately 6" x 4" in size. The price of the crystal turtle sculpture was $218. I wasn't watching over the shoulder of the store clerk, a very young looking woman or late teenager, when she rang me up and put my items in a small brown paper bag with handles. I should have been watching. I assumed that she would wrap the turtle sculpture appropriately. When we left Kauai on May 30, 2026 to fly back home, my wife packed the bag containing the items I purchased in your store in my suitcase. When we got home and unpacked the suitcase, I took out the brown paper bag. I did not realize that somehow the brown paper bag had developed a tear in one of the side creases in the bag. I lifted up the bag from the suitcase laying open on the bed and moved it literally a foot away when the turtle sculpture slipped from the tear in the bag and landed on our tile floor. To our surprise and shock, we saw that the crystal sculpture had been wrapped only in a few sheets of extremely thin, colored wrapping paper and that, when I unwrapped the paper, the head and the rear flippers had broken off! Remembering the transaction, I recalled that the clerk had barely said anything. She did not ask if we wanted her to wrap the crystal turtle securely. Usually, when we have bought fragile items from an arts and crafts shop, the clerk either asks if we want the item packaged securely or voluntarily does it without us asking. As I said, the clerk looked young and acted as if she were new on the job. If not, she was not trained properly to either ask the customer if he or she wanted the fragile object packed securely or hadn't been trained well enough to know that it should be packed securely. Then she placed my items in a flimsy, defective paper bag that tore easlly at its seam, allowing the object to slip out. The principal causes of the breakage of the turtle were: 1) the negligence of the young, inexperienced or poorly trained clerk to package the object securely or to even ask me if wanted it packed securely, and 2) placing the object together with two heavier, bulkier items in the flimsy, defective, easily tearable paper bag that was provided I requested the owner of the shop to refund the purchase price of the turtle but he has refused, adopting a "Once it's out the door, it ain't my problem anymore" stand.
