She is now a first grader and doing the abacus style of counting. I was very impressed with how well her mental counting is. Funny how my daughter is even the one who taught me how to use the abacus lol. Just recently, i reached out to Shilpi to assist my daughter in her homework and school work. Unfortunately I was met with a very defensive and irate man. I tried to let Mr. Shawn know that the program was not the correct program and our first impression of it was the opposite of what we were trying to achieve. My nephew was the only one in his age group, 12 years old, and all other kids in the classroom were 6 or 7 years old, huge age gap. We were looking for something that would be interactive, to help bring him out of his shell and help with his communication. English was his biggest hurdle and really needed help in that department. I wish your facility as the EXPERT in this would have asked more questions about the needs of the student and we would have come up with a better plan early on. Either way, sticking a student in front of a computer all day is something we feel we could have done at home especially when your program was the most expensive out of all the other programs in the area and only provided camp half day for a few days a week. We wanted one on one instruction with him. The solution that was provided was to take him to another facility in Redlands which is an hour away from the location we singed up for. That was not feasible as the guardians for the child are not able to drive that far in the mornings. All and all my experience from beginning to the very disappointing conversation with the owner was extremely poor. He handled the situation without the professionalism that an institution of your nature should carry. He made statements that clearly say he is not interested in the children but rather bought the franchise to make money. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Do you're self a favor and grab a copy of NOLO IEP's for Parents. Otherwise great community as in the neighborhood is safe and many of the kids are nice. My child never reported any other concern. That the one thing I will always LOVE or have a happy memory of Citrus Intermediate School, is they were extremely nurturing with multicultural kids especially mine. All the professors who taught me were highly professional. The ESL classes were very well structured, packed with information and fun. The MBA classes are challenging - there's a lot of reading and research involved. I think, this is one of the most affordable schools in Southern California. I really admire their goal to make education more accessible to anyone. 3) ATMOSPHERE. Everyone is super friendly at school and there is always some kind of events, like potlucks or field trips to the beach. Admin left a classroom of special education students mainly alone with only outside hire substitute…read moreaides. Their hired substitute had a flat tire who was meant ro arrive later, which they told to only an adjacent teacher to the substitute aide watched classroom. That adjacent teacher proceeded to remove as many kids as he could safely handle to his room and checked in on the aide run classroom for around four and a half hours. Administration finally sent the attendance officer to sit with the class until an entirely different substitute showed up. Said substitute only lasted about 10 minutes until a student displayed aggressive behaviors and fled. Administration showed back upon being told the substitute was leaving. Gross misconduct, to leave a classroom of substitute aides (half of whom have never been with these students before) alone with a classroom of not only children but special education children. Admin could have sent literally anyone in the time it took for a substitute to appear just to ensure that aides had support and there was no risk of liability for students and staff alike.
