A typical dispensary, this business has been around longer than most, about 6 years as of this writing. This is the best shop along Denver's "The Green Mile." The prices are competitive with other similar places. What's really nice is that you can go in and out in minutes if you know what you want. If You Are A Flower Fanatic Shop Here Baby! I am so fortunate to have found this place! It Rocks! Allow me to Elucidate: Ealier this year I was searching Weedmaps for any and all strains containing elements of grape in their lineage. There were some grape strains I'd heard of available in the 15 mile radius I plugged into the search, such as Grape Pie. As I continued looking, I came across The Herbal Center on S. Broadway. They had a strain called Blue Grapes in stock at the time. That strain got me to drive across town from Golden to this awesome store. For me, the whole experience shopping here is just fantastic. The parking is great, as they have their own large lot right off of Broadway next to the store. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, and just a pleasure to do business with. Really Cool People and fun to talk to. The prices are very reasonable, and the flower is just off the charts fantastic. If, like me, you are someone who doesn't really care for extracts (except hash) but very much prefers to indluge in smoking flower, then I want to recommend this absolute gem of a dispensary. If you want seriously rocking and delicious flower in an array of excellent strains, this is the place! I have gone to many dispensaries in Denver and know most of the best, at least in terms of getting consistently fresh, potent and flavorful flower, which is my thing. After being pretty much devoted to 2 other establishments for the past 2 or 3 years, I have switched over completely to The Herbal Center, because they have what I want, at excellent prices: Super Potent, Fresh, Consistently Good Flower in fruity and truly ass kicking flavors and strains. And along with all of that, they have strains I mostly don't see anywhere else, or at least not at a lot of places. Many of them are so new that you can't even always find the parents online for a given strain and you have to ask them, such as the Blue Grapes strain. The parents still aren't online. They are Blue Cookies and Grape Pie. Yummmm!!! The Blue Grapes indica is so damn good you really have to taste it and feel the effects to believe it. The same is true for practically every strain I have ever purchased here, including: Purple Punch (Superb! Very strong yet smooth as silk) Black Cherry Breath (Falls into the Holy Mother of God Category in the Potency & Taste Depts.) Now N Graper (Another good strong indica for grape luvahs) Blue Grapes (D-Shiznit!) Papaya Punch (Devastatingly Good - Strong yet smooth as well) Also, their sativas are smokin' awesome! I recently snagged two 1/8ths of their Fruit Punch and it is completely stellar. Even better is the Pineapple Punch. Holy Smoke! And Cowabunga! It's a cross between Skunk #1 and The Real McCoy, which is Hawaiian and The Pure, aka the original Skunk #1! It's so good I just made a special trip down to the store for 2 eighths. So utterly good that I would have driven from Golden for just one eighth. Really! I always go with their in-house strains, as their horticultural staff are clearly committed to consistency and excellence. Every single strain I have ever bought here smokes beautifully and is always smooth and properly flushed, no doubt about it. If you like smoking damn good and I mean Damn Good Flower and some of the best strains and flavors around, do yourself a favor and stop by The Herbal Center. Iv always felt like the staff was very friendly and helpful and definitely not pushy in any way as had been my experience at other known dispensaries. For someone who doesn't know a lot about CBD, and was completely unknowledgeable about it all the many types of products (but needed & wanted to try it vs continuing taking general nerve blocking Rx that weren't working) they've been so much help and made me feel like they cared about what it was that I needed it for & steered me in the right direction. The one thing that I might suggest that could help out the customers more would be to have more of the same products avail at the Broadway location that they do carry at the Peoria location. It's really frustrating that a certain brand that Iv used and like a lot was on the shelf in the past but they can't get it in this store anymore if a frequent, loyal customer is asking for a certain product and it IS available, I would hope that management would care enough to bring it to this location vs expecting me to drive another 40 minutes to the other location. When I already pass by MULTIPLE other businesses on the way to THC on Broadway, I'm obviously showing my loyalty to them and wouldn't think it would be too much to ask that they'd care & value my patronage enough to carry the flavor of cbd pucks that I'd like to buy, which used to be the case and I was told they could get them in. After months of asking I find out that although they've requested it, they can't seem to get anyone to act on it and get them in. It would be different if I was requesting something that they don't normally carry at all. But this IS something they have had and do have but only at the other location. If anyone in mgmt reads this I hope they do consider the importance of customer loyalty and value it enough to make some slight changes and be able to get in stock or at the very least, let me put in a special request order or whatever so that they'll bring it over from the other location so I can continue to buy from THC. I went to the medical side. Now, normally, I don't really like getting my med from places that also have rec. Med always seems to get the short end of that stick. There's more money in rec. But I just moved up here and I just got my card renewed. So, now I have to pick a new med dispensary. I looked on Weedmaps and picked The Herbal Center (THC, get it?) because of their menu and their prices and their location. You see, I live in Aurora. Aurora basically drew dispensaries to town by letting them stay open later than they can in Denver. But that's just rec. Med has the same hours in Denver and Aurora. So, there's no draw to set up med in Aurora. I which in turn means I have to drive myself into the city for med. 7 miles takes 28 minutes. Gotta love Denver... anyway... worth the drive. I came in and was greeted by two employees. Then the gentleman who greeted me chatted with me as he checked me in and had me fill out the new patient form. I found the chatting pleasant and unobtrusive. They had a good selection. Not one of the places that has five dozen strains. I don't like that. I like half a dozen to a dozen strains. I feel like those strains were picked out special and cared for. That may be my imagination, but it's how I feel. They had 8 strains. And another 6 in concentrates. They also had cartridges. And some nice glass pieces. As well as some cheap one. I got a cheap one and an eighth and a couple grams of the cheap shatter. The flower is pungent and effective. The shatter is tasty and effective. But you can get that at almost any dispensary. It's the customer service that will keep you coming back. read more
