I am a survivor of breast cancer, having had a double mastectomy, and four major surgeries after that. I had the unfortunate circumstance of having a doctor who had a medical degree, but was basically a butcher, not worthy of possessing that medical degree. Nearly 10 years later, I am still in unbelievable pain. My pain is of a degree that a person would feel following a surgery after the medications have worn off, which is unfortunate for me because I cannot take prescription pain medications. I am allergic to all opioid and nearly all over-the-counter medication. At the advice of my son, I tried THC gummies. It has proven to be one of the best decisions that I've made, and since I found Native Roots and their medical marijuana, I will never go back. I can take a gummy in the afternoon and it will keep my pain at bay as well as an opioid would. I have to thank Micah for his wealth of knowledge about gummies and his advice on what to buy. I have no plans to shop for gummies anywhere else except Native Roots, precisely because of the fact that they offer the medications that I need, and they have the most knowledgeable budtenders in Colorado. I've never felt more rushed like man she wouldn't even show me the flower I had to keep asking to see after looking at the paper that just says names on it. I came here and they refused to accept my med card because it wasn't on a full sheet of paper. I left my phone in the car because you cannot use it in the building. There is no handicapped parking and I am a paraplegic. I have used this med card all over the state. When I complained about having go all the way back to my car through the parking to get my phone, he refused to serve me. The first young lady had signed me in. She called me back and this asshole treated me like shit. Avoid this one. The ADA says dispensaries have to have parking. I will see them in court for this. read more

I was mislead and will not return. Functioning in 5$ increments as an atm is the same thing when it takes extra money from your acct. I could have easily stopped by the bank to avoid the fee. I now have nothing to use my product with, and was told when I called to try to resolve the matter she could not help me. It was the longest wait time at any dispensary I've ever been to. Maybe they are so busy they don't care about their customer. Make sure to weigh your product if you get it from here. The 2.50 Non Chase ATM Fee that I specifically called ahead of time to avoid went through today. I am now at about 6.50 more than what I was told I would be paying. 40$ but 44 was taken from me alltogether and now 2.50 atm fee. Definitely won't return. Terrible customer service. read more

After placing my medical card with Native Roots, I received the handout identifying the medical discounts. Being a CBD user, I was excited to see that Thursdays have an additional discount for CBD products that resulted in a 35% discount. Each time I visited on a Thursday, my attendant would quote me a different discount, always well below the 35% and he/she would feign ignorance when I brought up the discrepancy; a clear bait and switch. To test my theory, I bought the same products on another Thursday at the Native Roots location on Wadsworth and without any discussion, I received the 35% discount. I will no longer be shopping at the South Denver location even though it is closer. read more

Came here during the 4/20 weekend and I thought it was pleasant, educational experience. Sucks I forgot the names of the two guys who were helping me & my friend out - but it was awesome talking to the sales reps because they were extremely knowledgeable and they shared their personal stories with us. One of guys mentioned how he has PTSD and he smokes a certain strain because it mellows him out during the night time. I thought that was pretty cool, because having PTSD is kinda personal and not everyone likes to share that about themselves! I ended up purchasing a pre-rolled joint along with caviar nugs! I got a lighter as a souvenir. Medical patients steer clear. Every time I go to this location there is someone new working there. I was turned away because Jason looked at my card and said that the expiry date and issue date have the be the same and denied me access to the medical side. I responded that the state of Colorado issued the card and it's valid. He called his boss I presume and said the quick solution is to buy the Rec at medical prices but I do not smoke only cbds and edibles. He could not give me any information about why the dates had to match, who he talked to that was in charge and made this decision, how to contact the state to see why the dates are different, and couldn't tell me what would happen next time I came in. He gave me a number to his supervisor but it was the number to the same store and she wasn't in so who did he talk to? If this is the way they treat members I would hate to see how they treat non members. I have used my new card over 5 times at this location and over 100 times as a medical patient at this location. I do not believe the dates have to match and if they did I would be able to see that in writing from the state and they could not provide that. THEY MUST THINK I FABRICATED THE MEDICAL CARD AND IF THAT IS THE CASE THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO CONTACT SOMEONE WITH THE STATE TO VERIFY THE CARD. Wouldn't it be easier to let me buy on the med side as I have done over 100 times from you instead of making me wait 45 minutes and have it researched for the next time when I come back. Sorry there will not be a next time. If you know what is good for your business it would be best to have someone on hand that can answer simple questions because Jason was lost.. Reposting this review as I have been a member at this location for a few years and as suspected I am not getting member prices. This two star rating is for this location only off of Sante fe. I've been a very loyal customer to native roots for almost 5 years now, and for good reason. Excellent pricing for medical and In general there quality of shatter has always been amazing in the 5 years I've been going. There wax was always good as well, but recently in the last year, there wax has started to look BEAUTIFUL. A lot of times it looks identical to some rocky and saucy live resin. There spectra live resin has also improved vastly in the last year and is now on par with viola. Just perfect rocks and sauce most of the time. Every now and again they get some bad batches but always have the selection to where you will find something you like. Unfortunately as of today, I will never attend the sante fe location again. My last 4 trips have been not so pleasant due to an extremely moody worker named Terri Bentley, but I ignored that as I've mostly only had positive experiences here. Then today, one of the store managers that's always super nice to me, and everyone else, was a complete asshole. He was checking the guy in front of me in, then made a comment to him "you are here everyday dude, why don't you just buy a lot so you don't have to keep coming back?" To which the guy responded "I don't understand why you always have a problem with me, I'm here to shop, do you not want my money?" Then the manager said "you are welcome here, I just feel like I literally see you everyday" and unlocks the door then let's him in. I thought it was rude but it wasn't normal for that manager to say things like that so I just let it go. Then he checks me in and is super nice like usual, tells me it will be about 25 mins and sends me to my car to wait, he even personally came out to my car and got me when he realized he made a mistake with my phone number to text me it's my turn. I get inside and thank god Terrie Bentley wasn't working that time. I ask the bud tender if it's okay to see what I'm buying as long as I back up plenty away from product, I do not feel comfortable blind buying concentrate or flower. He explains nicely that he's not supposed to open them but says he understands and was willing to open them briefly. So he does, but I was still unable to get a good view of what I was buying. I wasn't going to ask for him to open them again because I get that they are trying to be extra safe about COVID. Where I started to get frustrated was because normally they display all concentrates in clear containers so you can see what you are buying quickly and effectively. For what ever reason they are not willing to display anything anymore so the only way to see the product, is to buy it, then look at home. And if you arnt happy with what you bought, tough luck. And that sucks a lot since This is supposed to be medicinal. When I tried to explain this to the manager he proceeded to tell me that I'm the only medical patient that even cares to see the product, and he doesn't understand why I need to, then when I responded that I guess I'll just switch over my plant count somewhere else he just said "GOOD". So I turned around and left then called a Colorado Springs location where I was told that I should still allowed to see what I'm buying I'm just not allowed to touch it. He was appalled that this store was operating this way and offered me some free joints for the inconvenience of driving all the way to the springs. When I got there he completely made up for my shit experience at the sante fe location, and even took the time to find out more details on who worked there so he could look into it. And of Coarse everything was displayed in clear containers like usual. The only rule was you couldn't touch which is perfectly understandable. I left happily with 10 grams of wax that I was actually able to pick out, and a half ounce of flower that looked way better than anything I've seen at sante fe. So it was worth the trip completely. As for my main concern with Terrie Bentley I don't think she's even slightly qualified to sell on the medical side. The few encounters I had with her being rude were because I was asking to at least see the product. She would instantly make snarky comments such as "don't you know what's going on right now?" And "it's all the same anyways, it just gets you high" read more

I'm so glad that I stumbled across this location because their staff is so awesome--they are knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely interested in helping you. I recently bought 5 bad grams of chem#4 og shatter from this location. After complaining about a bad gram of lifesaver i got at the edgewater location the previous week, the manager offered to give me one of the five grams for free. When i opened the packaging 2 days later the shatter had melted in to the parchment paper and was unusable. I think it's important to note that the product did not melt because of anything I did. It stayed cool in the packaging untill I tried to use it. The manager even opened each package and showed me the product before I purchased it, even after I told him that it was not necessary and he only had to open one. Yet, he insisted. I believe it's because he had the foresight that i was going to complain because he knows he sells an inferior product. So when i called to complain he said he would not help me because he opened each package and showed it to me before purchase. Then I was rudely spoken to and hung up on when I respectfully protested. Needless to say, I will not be returning to native roots at any location. And I'm out over one hundred dollars. I do not recomend native roots. Zero stars. read more

Where to start... The bud is consistently cured to perfection, ready to break down and smoke immediately, unlike some moist product acquired from other dispensaries. They have excellent tinctures for a reasonable price on the recreational side. My little brother initially turned me onto this place and I have not looked back since. Out of all the dispensaries I have been to, this one is perhaps my favorite. Justice took care of my sister and I on 10/25/18. He was a wealth of knowledge and responded to all of our questions without hesitation. He was able to articulate the differences in products we were inquiring about, all the while being VERY personable. He never rushed us because other people came in. This was wonderful, as not everyone is adept at all the nuances of the cannabis industry....especially those of us who are "old school", from a time when none of the current array of products was available. He was a great example of how all budtenders SHOULD be. I would have rated the experience as 5 stars, were it not for the fact that we had some trouble finding the place using Google maps GPS, which routed us through the back via Dartmouth St. If the website had directions which indicate that the business is in an industrial park, and listed which building and that it faces the southbound one-way lanes on Sante Fe, we would have found it right away, rather than having to call for directions.
