Lots of people brought their own food (some with full on dinners and dessert). You can buy food there also. We had lots of fun. We'll definitely come back and see other shows. Our performance had an intermission to also make purchases. However, the restroom line is pretty long and didn't allow me to visit the restroom and make a purchase during intermission. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They had our programs and tickets ready. The show we saw was Hairspray. It was wonderful! I love the music, dancing, costumes and and staging. The sound is great - better than the Civic Theater downtown. It was a top rate show at a smaller venue and a lower price. You can't ask for more! Parking is available on the street for three hours. If your play is going to be longer, Carlsbad offers free parking by the train station just a short walk from the theater. We will definitely be returning.

There's a spacious lobby with a bar, although they only had one person on the bar and it was slow going. At the box office (inside) they just asked for our name and didn't bother seeing the tix on my phone. Staff were friendly. The theater itself is small. They allow drinks in that you've purchased there. (No food, although I watched one woman open a bag of crackers). The usher sent us to the wrong row, causing confusion and the letters on the end of the rows weren't obvious. There are several bathrooms, including a couple of non-gender ones. Free parking can be found at the train station behind the theater. The play we saw, 'Matt and Ben' was not great. I give it 2/5. The cast wasn't what I was expecting and it wasn't that funny, they dropped f-bombs all the time and I was ready for it to end after about 15 minutes.

He got to know us and our music preferences, but we gave them total creative control of the event. We chose the classic songs, but they took care of the rest. They are so professional, they do this weekend after weekend. Trust them! We did not worry about a thing and the whole crowd was moving. Our wedding was early September 2017 and we are still hearing our guests rave about them. We have even had other friends ask for their contact info who are getting married in the future. They performed a Louis Armstrong song that everyone thought was recorded. But it was LIVE. The cocktail hour keyboardist/pianist was great too. We went with a 9 piece band plus cocktail at La Valencia hotel and have no regrets. Everyone had a private concert at our wedding and LOVED Calphonics. Trust them and hire them! If you have balcony seating, there are no elevators so you will have to take the stairs..which are quite numerous ....important to know if you have walking limitations.

The performance was wonderful and the voices of the cast were absolutely beautiful. The theater itself is large and you can see very well. I'm not very tall and even though people were seated in front of me I had a perfect view of the stage. The seats are comfortable and the ushers are very helpful. I believe there are concession stands on every floor as well as bars where you can get soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. The concessions are quite expensive but you expect that when you're at a theater of any kind. Very easy to find parking in the area. There is a large parking structure right next to the Civic Center as well as different parking lots where you can easily just park and walk across the street to the theater. The only rule that I have seen is that you do not bring in a bag that is larger than 12 in by 12 in. You go through a back check and walk through a metal detector but that's pretty common for any type of concert as well. Inside is very comfortable and I always enjoy coming here for a performance.
