Finally a compassionate specialist told me I had complex regional pain syndrome where my body had a network of nerves telling my brain that I was in pain. Once there Dr. Rodrigue and his staff attached themselves to my case and started trying to rewire those nerves with various interventions to block the signal. And that helped me immensely. It changed everything. When the blocks became less effective we tried medications which took many starts and stops and added various physical therapies, creams, portable machines and techniques that kept me an active member of society. Finally we landed on a routine that worked miracles and has for years. When medication/therapy improvements were developed he always talked me through the science so I was fully informed and in control. The trust I have in his practice and his approach is as high as can be. Pain can be all consuming. It can be isolating. It can be embarrassing. It can cause strife in ways that seem impossible to overcome. But I was made to feel like my situation was not only valid but important to him. I wish I could explain everything they did for me because a lot happens over a decade in life - just know at every twist and turn - Dr. Rodrigue always took time to ask how I was doing or handing things and if there was anything he could do to help. Shortly after the injection, my leg became numb and I was temporarily unable to walk. The doctor explained that some of the injection may have affected a nerve. Fortunately, feeling returned to my leg about 24 hours later, but the injection did not relieve my hip pain. I expressed my concerns about my experience and the bill to both the front desk and the doctor. Afterward, I received a letter stating that the doctor would no longer be treating me as a patient.
