I know that hair salons /"stylists" are a little scarce in Sun Valley, but Mane Muse could use a BIG improvement in skills / training and professionalism. Jamilynn, the salon owner, butchered my hair. She was not paying attention, looking over her shoulder to see who was coming in the door, very distracted and nonchalant. She left me with a MESS of a haircut that took a couple months of growing out. When I discussed the mishap to her the following appointment, she curtly made some odd excuse about it and was quite dismissive. The overall immaturity and arrogance within this salon trickles down from the top. Feels like the halls of high school. Be professional, do your job and grow up. Try laying off Tik Tok and get your sh*t together, ladies. You've definitely lost this Muse.

The person that answered the phone was apparently the owner. I cannot begin to tell you how rude she was. My questions were pretty basic: Are you accepting new clients? Do you do razor cuts? What do you charge? I eventually want to grow my hair a little longer into a razor cut bob. She immediately read me the riot act after I told her a friend in another city had been cutting my hair for years, but she was getting close to retirement. This woman sarcastically told me her location, as if I didn't know where I was calling & that I was a complete idiot. I told her I was well aware of it, since I too, was local. Then she launched an attack on me because I wanted to grow my hair out, automatically assuming I would not make an appointment for 5 or 6 months. Gee, I still need to keep my hair trimmed up while its growing out! Then I got her verbal resume (repeatedly) stating how long she's been cutting hair, & how long she's been in business. Why go there if you don't want my business to begin with? I was told the salon only had two stylists, herself & her daughter. Her daughter did razor cuts but was not accepting new clients. They do not wash hair before a cut; they only cut it dry. And finally, this extremely rude woman kept talking over me, so she never heard what I was saying. Why the @#$%^ would I book an appointment with her or her salon? One can only hope her business tanks soon.
