I do love the actual physical haircut and color i got. The price seemed a bit much but I understand…read moreI came in near closing and didn't just silently agree with the owner (or at least the lady who was more experienced) on everything. So I don't begrudge the cost, it's still fair for the circumstance. The lady who did my hair seemed to still be in training but she did well and asked questions when appropriate instead of pretending to know more than she did, and that's a good sign to me. We had pleasant talks about hobbies and interests and fun stories. It was nice. Mostly. However what soured me was the owner. I know I'm sensitive due to abuse and the excuses of such that I've faced amd the horrors I've seen in tge name of "parenting". But for no reason the owner started going on about how children need to be hit EVEN MORE and how somehow violence against children is any type of empathetic, effective, or loving behavior. And when I pushed back she turned it into a confrontation. I was on the verge of running out in tears but I had dye applied and I felt bad about running out on the lady actually doing my hair. But i alsp felt bad for the CHILD in said establishment who may never have heard that violence against children is NEVER acceptable. It was difficult. Ethically and personally I cannot support this business if promoting abuse is considered acceptable small talk. I've had way too of a traumatic vhildhood to ever be okay with that on any level
