Mike came promptly and was a good communicator, everything was set up on time (in fact, we ran a little over time, and they were great about that too), and the atmosphere was amazing. There are so few "real" rules to the game--it's basically a great way to get out aggression and have a blast doing it. It does get SUPER tiring and SUPER sweaty (they disinfect the balls in-between each wear-er), but it was the most fun I've had in recent memory. Thank you for the fantastic party!

There's also a natural distraction to try to knock everyone else over. Have more fun and burn more calories faster than you may normally do with conventional sports. Bumpball is ideally played on a smooth indoor surface (baskteball court) but can also be played in certain areas outside. We require participants to be in good health and sign a waiver before playing. The rules of the game must be followed as well as the direction of the ref. While games can be played outside, our games are typically played in gyms, fitness centers, and sports complexes. Games usually take 45 minutes with a 5 minute break after 20 minutes. Anyway, I played all sorts of sports here when I was a kid - basketball, softball, soccer, cheerleading (which I hated and only did one year). Basically, this is your friendly neighborhood sports league place for your children. You have to pay to sign them up for teams, but, from what I remember, the coaches were good, and I always had a ton of fun. I started playing sports here at age 5 and played probably until about 5th grade because I started playing CYO sports for my grade school in 6th grade. But I think that kids can play sports here up until they're about 13, give or take. In addition to the sports I played, they also have football, hockey, etc. They also have a public pool that's open in the summers, and public basketball nets outside. The only bad thing I remember is that the basketball court (indoors) has a cement floor, which really messed up my knees. I had a bad knee by age 8 from playing basketball there. They need to invest in a good, therapeutic wooden basketball floor. Who knows? Maybe they have. I haven't set foot in there in years.

I knew getting a custom shirt two days before Fathers Day was a long-shot, but called this morning to ask. The woman who answered started to say that an order would typically have to be in before, but as she spoke she cut herself short in her sentence and said, actually, we have basic alphabet letters here and I'm sure we can figure something out. Why don't you come on in and we'll make it work." I was so thrilled. I headed over and everyone was happy to help. The young man working the letter ironing was also great (ironically, I noticed he was in the middle of creating the kids' tee shirts for the league my husband will be coaching)...he was happy to stop what he was doing, went to find me a good tee shirt to use, made suggestions on what would look nice, and finished the shirt in minutes. Lastly, because of the incredible sidewalk sale they have going on right now, the charge for this was so cheap I thought I heard him wrong. My husband's family are lifelong friends of the Lloyds, but the employees of course didn't know this about me while taking care of me today. I left thinking that it's very cool to know that they clearly treat all of their customers like family, because they took care of me as if I was a family member asking for a special favor. There is an obscene amount of baseball fields, but there is also a nice paved trail, a playground, a lake, Bocci ball courts, a hill, soccer fields, etc. I'm sure I'm missing something. If I had a nit pick, I would like the walking path to be a little bit longer, but that's just me being pedantic at that point. Recommended.

After a beer and a pizza, I was drawn to the three-quarter mile walking path that loops around the park.
