I've been climbing for a while, but this was my first time at PRG, so Shane helped me with my orientation and made sure I was ready to climb safely. I had a great climbing session, but when I lost sight of my AirPods case at the end of my visit, something unexpected happened. The entire staff (and folks at the gym) united to join me on this little mission. Alden, Shane, and a woman from the team (whose name I didn't catch) all helped me search the entire gym until we found it. They were true team players and genuinely just wanted to help me. It was awesome, unexpected, and so appreciated. Everyone was incredibly kind, genuinely helpful, and truly welcoming. I'll be returning to this gym and bringing some friends. If you're looking for a kind, welcoming, and supportive environment, whether you're a first-timer or an experienced climber, you'll find it at PRG Wyncote. This place is a good place to host a private birthday party for young kids. They also have a nursing room for you to use. They have a parking lot right outside so no need to deal with street parking. We had a truly disappointing and upsetting experience at the Big Blue Swim School. I brought my…read moreyoung son, who has almost no swimming experience, for lessons and expected supportive, professional guidance. Unfortunately, we were met with untrained and unprofessional staff. My son was visibly scared and started panicking and crying during the lesson, yet the instructor showed no willingness to comfort or support him, even after I politely asked her to hold and reassure him. To make matters worse, a manager with a laptop interrupted and told me I wasn't allowed to speak to my own child or the instructor, even as he was sobbing in distress. Her response was a cold and robotic "I understaaaand," without any genuine concern or action. We left immediately. At the front desk, the manager was similarly dismissive and unhelpful. When I explained my son was traumatized by the experience and I wanted to cancel future lessons, I was told I needed to submit a cancellation request 30 days in advance -- regardless of what just happened. Overall, the staff -- most of whom appear very young -- were rude, indifferent, and clearly not trained to work with children, especially those with little experience or anxiety around water. This was not only a waste of money, but it also caused emotional harm to my son. I strongly do NOT recommend!!!.

They post a weekly schedule of their different activities and snacks they have each day. The staff is great and really care about the kids. I feel safe dropping my kid off here each day.

In other words, just because they've been around forever and have a ridiculous contract with the district does not mean that they are remotely close to a quality care institution for children. I was horrified that I even let my child be alone there for the short amount of time we were 'registered' - a mere few days...and $800 later - only to be refunded a couple hundred. There is NO curriculum, they don't actually DO anything with the students but herd them into classrooms or a gym. I heard a thousand complaints from them about the 'new' facilities and how much they DON'T know, and every question I had about curriculum or process was met with the same - it's a new facility. I still have the SAME expectation and pay the same price - there should be NO excuses. How hard is it to take a tour, come up with a plan, and put on a good face for the parents and students! No checking ID's. No introductions or tours. Nothing. And can somebody please get their employees new ID badges? The torn up, taped up things they have dangling around their necks are a true reflection of the kind of service they provide. Worn out, sloppy, and sad. We are now scrambling at the last minute to figure things out. Don't go down that road. Or, see for yourself. Ask for a tour. Stop in and see the kids in the morning just sitting there or playing wildly in the gym. Homework you say? I don't even think they will know the child'd name by the end of a few months let alone helping them with their homework. Snacks? a few pretzels. Outside time? ONLY if they have certain footwear - otherwise - it's back inside to sit in a classroom like a dog.

There are plenty of activities for kids of different ages, and the whole area is beautiful with trees surrounding the playground, providing shade and making it much more comfortable during the summer. There's also a lake lake nearby that adds to the experience and makes it a fun place for kids to explore. They have several benches where parents can sit and relax while watching the kids play. A beautiful, refreshing spot for family time!
