I visited the garden center today looking for the Bonnie plant section. I approached a garden associate (older white male glasses with a mole near his lip) and started to show him a picture while asking if he could point me in the right direction. Before I could even finish my question, he interrupted me and said, "Those are multiple plants. It could be any plant. What does the plant say? What does it say?" I wasn't asking him to identify the plant from the picture--I was simply asking where the Bonnie plant section was located. His tone felt dismissive and impatient, and I left feeling like my question was an inconvenience. A little patience and courtesy go a long way. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won't be returning to this store. read more

We rented a vibratory plate compactor today at 12:00 to have for a week. Once we were off from work at 5:00, we tried using it and it would stop every 30 seconds. The machine wasn't working properly so we thought we could exchange it. We called in and they said we were able to exchange it for a different one. Once we got there, the manager wouldn't give us a refund or exchange since it was 5 hours after renting. Since it's in the contract, the manager wouldn't budge. Since we were renting it for a week, we thought it would be no probably and easy peasy to exchange. Nope! We will never be using them again. We are going to rent from Lowe's in egg harbor township. read more

The Home Depot in Absecon, NJ has been doing a hard job with customer service on a consistent basis. The entire management team has been very responsive and professional. I am a Real Estate Investor, and I have been going to the Home Depot in Absecon, NJ for years. Great experiences even when I had to deal with stressful situations. Recently, I bought a Murray self-propelled lawn mower for over $400.00, and I over filled the oil reservoir, and I was upset that he lawn mower was showing white smoke, and I wanted to return the lawn mower outside of the 7-day return policy of gas products. I was very upset because I called the store, and I was told that I had 90 days to return the product. When addressing these issues with John, the Home Depot Assistant Manager, he voluntarily agreed to help me resolve the problem completely. Not only did John help me empty out the overfilled oil reservoir, he started the lawn mover without white smoke concern, and he gave me an in-service on how to use the lawn mower correctly. read more

Home Depot needs to do a better job when hiring. More often than not, there are certain individuals in areas such as electrical and plumbing that are limited in their capacity of experience and give you the wrong "advice". This can cost you money, at the least, and can be dangerous. read more

It's bullshit when you walk around a Home Depot in the United States of America, and are harassed by a foreigner with her face, fully covered up and nothing but her eye sticking out telling you that you're not scanning your items. The "customer service" department was disrespectful and refused to even look at the ID provided. The App does not always work. I am a home rebuilder that visits Home depot quite frequently My experience at this store yesterday was the worst at best I had some returns after the rehab was done I was greeted with . Do You have the receipts ? I said no because most the time 98% it is on the pro number The customer service person never asked , only for the CC that it would be on. I am ok with that then I was told some lumber was not on that she thought looked damage. These trims were not damaged . they are unfinished that need to be painted As the store manager stood there she said nothing . We needed some other productid that I advised the team not to buy at this store ever we went to egg harbor where they simply asked for the pro number that everything else was on she would not accept in Absecon You would think that the store manager at Absecon at least would have asked for the pro number As a contractor that owns many homes in the area I look for service This store is a total failure . Went to this location to buy a $300 kholer kitchen faucet. Needed help from the plumbing department and the guy there tried to give me gas fittings for a water supply. He then proceeded to tell me I needed a plumber, lol he needs to learn the difference between gas and water fittings. Needless to say I just left the faucet and bought it on Amazon instead. Avoid this location if possible. The customer service is the worst. Unknowlegable employees that try to make you feel stupid. Jokes on you. You lost my $300 in business. read more

Ordered a new refrigerator from this Home Depot. The woman working in the appliance section was very helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the week before the fridge was supposed get delivered, I got notified that it was on back order and would not be available for another month. The employee in the Home Depot said it appeared that the fridge was still in stock and should not have changed our original delivery date. We decided to cancel that order and go with a different fridge anyway. On delivery day, the fridge has damage to the back panel. I was offered a partial refund to compensate for the damage. Our 100 year old hardwood floors were also damaged during the delivery and that issue has not been resolved more than a month later. read more

We visited the Absecon New Jersey Home Depot on March 22, 2021. It has been very stressful lately due to Covid but a little customer service and a smile or even just common courtesy goes a long way. Just when I was ready to give up on Home Depot for lacking in those areas, I ran into an associate named Bernard. We had quite a few questions and he was already helping another customer so we waited. Bernard was so knowledgeable and extremely patient. His professionalism was a breath of fresh air. I don't typically write reviews but I just felt compelled to applaud Bernard and to personally thank him. Because of him my faith is restored in Home Depot's customer service. read more

Heather in electrical and Kareem in hardware were super knowledgable and friendly! I know what you're thinking, every Home Depot is the same. There are giant aisles with all kinds of products for any project. This may be true. But good luck finding the exact thing in a short amount of time without a little help. And good luck figuring out that one tricky snag in your magical plan without being able to discuss it with someone in the know. I was installing a ceiling fan, actually replacing a fan I had installed 7 years ago. I felt it was going to be a fairly straight forward project. It was not. When I found Heather in the electrical department, I'm sure my face said it all. I looked frazzled and a little dirty from tinkering with wires, etc. I think I even had bits of the ceiling on my sweater! Heather listened to me explain my problems and was quick to offer a few suggestions. She asked me questions and walked me over to show me exactly how to expedite my concern. She was great! I ran into Kareem when buying a lock set. I needed to get extra keys made. He was stocking a shelf when I asked him if he could get me someone to make a key. He was friendly and made me the duplicate keys in no time. He asked if I needed any more help as well. I was so happy to get such quick and efficient service. read more

Ordered appliances because I was remodeling my kitchen so I got a stove dishwasher refrigerator washer and dryer all from Hone Depot and had them delivered. Waited a couple of weeks for the delivery They said they couldn't hook them up because they needed a plumber to fix a washing machine connection and a dishwasher connection and that they would schedule one of their plumbers to come out to do what needed to be done. The Home Depot plumber comes a week later looks at the washing machine connection and says I don't do that stuff but puts a new connection on the dishwasher. Another week goes by waiting for the appliances to be delivered again. Guys come up look at the dishwasher connection that their company installed and said we can't use that connection and then says we can't do anything. So had to get my own plumber to do the repairs. Now I'm waiting another week for the appliances to be delivered. In the meantime their customer service department calls and asks why I gave them a "1" rating . I said cause "0" wasn't an option. They just kept apologising and said they would talk to their team. No offer to rectify the situation immediately or offer any sort of compensation. I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER use Home Depot again for appliances. read more

I have NEVER run into such a poorly run store. I bought a washing machine that was to be delivered. When the installers arrived they found the hot water hose connection was frozen. They would not take a chance to free it because they didn't want to break it (I don't blame them - I would do the same). So I told them I would get a plumber to fix it and they said they would come back to finish the installation. I got the plumber and he fixed the problem. But the real problem has just begun. I spent the next 5 days trying to get Home Depot to finish the installation and it was almost impossible. I must have made 30 or so calls to HD and wound up with nothing until today. And still they have f***** up. The delivery people were suppose to contact me to arrange a 4 hour time frame for delivery but they never called. I installed chemical manufacturing software in my past life and if I ran into a business so poorly run the building would probably blown up! This is a billion dollar company - why can't they get something so basic as delivery to work? So very, very sad. read more

The employees here are either super knowledgeable and helpful or extremely lazy... There is no in between. We came to buy a grill and mike was incredibly helpful and knew a lot. Unfortunately it all went down hill from there. I asked the old man at the door if there was an attendant to help me buy propane and load my grill onto the truck. He angrily asked me where I bought the grill from... like wtf?! And then he kept uttering some nonsense. And I'm pretty sure he was racist because he treated my brother the same way. The young guy that got the propane tank out for me just threw it on the ground and walked away. read more

This only got 3 star rating bc they two gentlemen at the painting department were very helpful. My boyfriend & I were shopping today he went to price check a bag of candy when I walked up he said " oh, your finished " I said no I'm still looking around he then put the candy down and said I'm just going to look around with you & get the candy later (MAYBE! ). We finish looking around the girl ANIYAH said why you ring something up then walked away. I said EXCUSE ME?! She repeated herself. My boyfriend said maybe bc I was checking the price possibly purchasing. I said why did you say that, she said bc when people usually do that they steal. I said Oh I get it but the candy is right there ( still next to the self check out register ) she said OH OKAY. I said that was weird for you to say she said why.. I replied bc if we stole why would we come back to the same location ( duhhh!) & the candy is still there CLEARLYY!!!! Moral of the story ask your manager to review the camera before approaching innocent people because you should've got slapped ANIYAH :) read more

On Black Friday we came to this Home Depot to purchase a sale Christmas tree. We were greeted by welcoming sales associates eager to assist us. A smiling person offered us coffee and donuts. There were tons of the 99 cent pointsettas, a great bargain. Two sales associates helped us find a sander that was on sale. This was the most enjoyable shopping experience we have had, ever!! Seriously, thanks folks for the fun and good cheer. See you next year for certain. Management, your team was superb!! read more
