Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. Ordered 3 shelving units from the website, who had them delivered from the store. The delivery guy tossed them in the driveway, with one box open. We looked at the frame and the pieces were all bent. We called to have a return started and someone was supposed to pick the items up from us and return to the store. It's been 4 days. Multiple no-shows and reschedules and it is STILL not picked up. Home Depot.com says to talk to the store and the store says to talk to the website phone number. I called the store again and asked to speak to the manager and have been on hold now waiting for almost 30 min. I refuse to hang up bc I think they are waiting for me to just give up. Pathetic. Home Depot robbed me and my family of an estimated $2,800. Trust of service and truth from a large corporation and customer service. Home Depot delivered a washer appliance to my home. While leaving my home, their truck hit and destroyed a fence and a tree. The estimate for repair was $2,800. After claims and an appeal, the company said they did not hit the fence and would not be paying for any of it. They in fact and absolutely in total truth, did do all this damage. But decided to be complete crooks and said no we did not and won't be paying for any of the damage. Total faith in anything from and about them is gone. I just took advantage of their curbside delivery for some whiskey barrel planters and it went so smoothly!! Lennon brought all 3 out and two were stuck together. He offered to take them back in to get apart. As promised, he returned shortly after with them a part. He indicated he needed to use a rubber mallet to accomplish that!! Just bought a refrigerator today 10.9.21..first avail delivery Nov 14th. We waited 40 minutes to get help. The young girl told us that they had several call offs and she was managing 3 different departments. It took us 15 minutes to even find someone and 40 min for her to help the 2 people I'm front of us. When we finally got help, she was great. Knowledgeable about the product. Etc. Where are your employees,,???? Was there yesterday and asked a girl with full.purple hair if she could help me. She was about 15 feet from me, never moved a muscle and yelled...with what. She doesn't want to be there, she's horrible has the personality of a stop sign. Absolutely no sense of customer service. She was going to be content screaming across the store with the worst attitude ever. Again. Shoulder length purple red hair....just a horrible disgusting person! I walked away from her and found someone else to direct me. When I got in line to pay. She was still standing in the same place! It's pouring down rain on Mother's Day. I rented a Dethatcher for $55 and spent the additional $20 to keep it for 24 hours. The equipment worked fine. However, because it was raining so hard it took me a while to pressure wash the dethatcher before I brought it back. They thanked me for returning it clean by charging me an additional $55 for another 4 hour rental. Basically, I rented it for 4 hours so I could clean it for them in the pouring rain. Well, happy f'ing Mother's Day and we shall explore how Lowe's equipment rental rewards kind customers for bringing the equipment back clean. This Home Depot absolutely sucks. I came here with my sister-in-law to get a few things this weekend, and we were treated like shit. The first thing we were looking for was a new soap dispenser pump for the kitchen sink. My pump broke, so all I needed was the pump. I didn't need the bottle that holds the soap under the sink, and I didn't need a new hose (in case you didn't want to use the bottle option). Anyway, I found an endcap that had the whole set. So I tracked down an employee and asked him where in the aisles these products were, so that I could see if they sold the pump separately. He pointed us to an aisle that didn't have the soap dispensers in it. We found someone else who pointed us to the correct aisle, but the pumps weren't sold individually. When I asked that associate if they were sold alone, he told me to go ask someone else. When that someone else was finally done helping his customer, he looked at me like I was crazy and told me that they only sold them in sets. Later, my sister was looking for a vinyl apron. She saw the aprons on the Home Depot website, but wasn't sure which area of the store they'd be in. We went to paint. The woman in paint again looked at us like we were insane, and told us to check in hardware. We had already been in hardware and knew they weren't there. So she told us to "go up to the service desk" and ask that person. So, we do that, and then that guy tells us that associates always send people to him like he can wave some magic wand and know A. if they carry a particular item and B. where to find it. He told us to check in, guess where, PAINT. So we go BACK to paint again and begin to look on our own. Eventually we just gave up. This is the worst flipping Home Depot I've ever, ever been to. NOBODY has a damn clue what they're talking about! read more

I had chosen Home Depot for my flooring need and picked a flooring, which I did not know, that was a special order. I waited 3 months for the flooring. It eventually arrived and when the installation folks came to install, they found the wood flooring defective and therefore did not want to have the liability to install. They walked off telling tom contact Home Depot since they are only contactors. Of course, they have ripped the old flooring and here I was with a subfloor and the furniture was distributed throughout the garage and kitchen. After numerous attempts, I was able to reach someone at Home Depot at Glen Mills PA. All they could do is to say sorry but was not offering me any solution. They told me that if we were to order this wood, it would take a while to have it manufactured as it was not available as a stock item. I decided to pick a flooring similar that was in stock. They told me that the flooring will be delivered in 10 days and the installation will follow one week after. So as you can see, I was left to live with the subfloor for about 3 weeks. I would have expected Home Depot to expedite this so that I can have a flooring but of course no, they did not give a crap. Today the flooring was delivered on a flat bed open truck in pooring rain where the flooring was not even wrapped. Of course, I refused to accept as the wood was ruined. Of course I called Home Depot and was absolutely furious. I have come to a conclusion that they are all bunch of imbeciles and did not seem to care. I am going all the way to the top and will not let this go. Here I am still without flooring and let's see what happens next. Most importantly they have lost a loyal customer and I will never go anywhere near a Home Depot. My hope is that someone will read this and make sure they do not treat other people the same. How can a company like Home Depot behave like this? How do they mess up such an easy task? All they had to do is to make sure this delivery is executed with care. How disappointing. The employees at this Home Depot (Concordville) make it painfully obvious that customers are a huge inconvenience. If a manager reads these, this is about Shane, in lumber on 9/11. I spend 6 figures at Home Depot in Ridley every year. I know that doesn't matter to a multi-billion dollar company, I'm just putting it out there that I'm not in there buying the occasional drill set for a holiday gift. The Concordville branch is closer to my shop, so occasionally I go there when I need something quickly. I went in this morning to get some plywood cut. The worker began with "Well, good morning to me." Obviously he doesn't want to be employed. While getting the wood cut, he whined and complained the entire time. A call for a customer needing assistance in aisle 13 came over the intercom. He asks another associate who is nearby to assist with that call, and then literally tells him "But you don't have to if you don't want to." Nice. I'm sure the customer in aisle 13 received great HD service as well. The complaining continued, and then I was told that HD no longer cuts 3/4" thick plywood. THEN STOP SELLING IT. 95% of the plywood sold at HD is 3/4". I hope everyone brings a big truck, because you can apparently only buy entire 4x8 sheets now. Shane said a memo to this effect came out. The reason is, sometimes the 3/4" plywood can actually break the saw. Here's some advice HD: If cutting wood with a wood saw breaks said saw, buy a new one. Shane, I never write reviews. This is our go-to Home Depot since it's only a 5-10 minute drive from our house. My husband practically lives at this location and the one in Claymont. The staff is there when you need them, but not overly so. My only problem with Home Depots in general is that I just want to buy it all - oh the things I could do to my house if I had a never ending budget, but for now, one project at a time will work for me :) read more

Absolutely terrible. If I could give less than zero I would. I have tried to get my kitchen redone for the past 7 months. It is a tiny kitchen in a row house and you'd think it was the biggest issue in the world. Time after time I've been screwed over by HD customer service and not taken seriously. We were meant to have our floors installed today and unable to as the installers claimed the floors were uneven and laminate couldn't be installed. You know who should've told us that???? Home Depot when they were MEASURING AND INSPECTING the floors and the kitchen area???! But no, now after removing our flooring ourselves (because apparently HD doesn't have their people take up our floors) we were told that they can't do it. When attempting to contact customer service I'm put on hold for time and time again trying to reach someone through the sea of incapable representatives would have no answers again and again. Seeing as it's a big company you'd expect them to know how to do their job. I'm always met with rude service as well, like it's my fault they messed up. At this point I regret ever even touching HD with a 10 foot pole regarding my kitchen. read more

I waited in the return line yesterday and watched two employees goofing around talking to each other and I stood there and stood there and finally I walked over and threw my items on the counter and asked are you working? She looked annoyed at me and said yes. They do not even acknowledge customers standing right in front of them. My other complaint is they never have enough check outs open to pay. They had NONE that accepted cash. Who runs this store? It is a joke. And the girl at the check out never has her mask on. It is always around her neck. My husband and I recently purchased our kitchen cabinets and countertops from here and could not have had a better experience. I cannot say enough how wonderful and knowledgeable our kitchen designer, Bruce, was. It took several appointments with him to finalize our design and order and the man deserves an award just for his patience alone. As stressful as home renovations can be, Bruce made sure our kitchen design was functional as well as beautiful and more importantly, within our budget. His manager, John, was very attentive as well and worked with us so that we could afford our dream kitchen. We would definitely use their services again when it comes time to remodeling our bathroom! read more

on 1/24/22, at approximately 6:45pm, i visited the concord store for recessed lighting. i selected seven boxes of recessed lighting and did self checkout. the employee at the self checkout repeatedly asked me if i wanted to open a home depot credit card. he wouldn't except no. after paying i realized that one of the packages was missing a light. i explained to the same employee that i was going back to aisle to retrieve the light. when i came back the employee tried to take the light away from me. i explained the situation again and that i had paid for it already. he shook his head so i just left with my items. not a good experience. read more

I purchased a self propelled lawn mower from Glenn Mills HD. After cutting a small lawn 3 times the belt broke on the self propulsion. I stopped in to HD and the return cashier told me the mower was returnable for store credit since it was beyond 30 day warrantee. So I brought the mower in to get the store credit and the manager said he would not give store credit. So took it to tool rental where you can go to get it repaired. When registering it for repair the person in too rental said I could get store credit in stead. When she went to get approval from manager he again refused to give me store credit and that was after I read the screen at the registrar saying I could get store credit. Never again HD. I will support the local Ace Hardware. Family owned and yes good customer service. read more

At this Home Depot you have to know who to ask what questions. If they're over 60, or have a pin on their apron saying they're at least 1 year they're good. They are understaffed at night, and the people on the service counter are unprofessional. If you want help there, then there are very few people who can help you. Good luck! read more

I almost exclusively used HD because of the large selection and competitive prices. But I had an annoyingly unsatisfactory experience. HD very promptly reached out to me and was more than reasonable to me. A true sign of a good company. People make mistakes and they went further than I expected to make up for it. read more

I do not understand the poor ratings for this particular store. Every time I have visited this story I have been met with friendly workers all to eager to assist me. Just this morning I was greeted with a friendly "Good morning!" as soon as I walked in the door. I then proceed to the lawn care isle where I was asked by a different rep if I needed assistance. On to light bulbs where yet again another rep was all to eager to help me find the LED light bulbs with the correct socket and light output I needed. Oh and when I went to self-checkout, the price of the bulbs was incorrect but the rep there fixed it fast with no questions and even apologized for the incorrect price. Granted, I usually visit in the morning on weekdays when the crowds are light but the service has always been great. I'm originally from California and the local Hope Depot I visited there was dismal. But this one is night and day different. read more

My wife and I purchased a dishwasher through Home Depot over a month ago and after 3... that's right... three delivery attempts every unit arrived broken! To make matters worse, during the first delivery attempt they broke my functioning dishwasher while removing it, which means we haven't had a working dishwasher in over a month! Just when I was going to go back to the store and get my money returned, Gary the manager calls me and asks for one more opportunity to make good on their service, and like a fool I agree. Yesterday, my wife and I sat around all day waiting for them to show up with a working replacement and at the end of the day they call us to say they can't make it over until Sunday. So we wait around all day today and not so much as a call comes in. I just got off the phone with Caesar, the weekend manager who said, "Delivery today? I don't know why they said that... they're closed on Sundays!" Unbelievable. I will never trust Home Depot again with something as important as an appliance. I agree with previous review that employees do not know where products are. I had to ask 5 employees before being directed to sandpaper and oil for finishing wood. I also needed help to cut a 6ft 2x4 in half and 3 more employees just said there should be someone there and continued walking, and one said that they "have a tablesaw for customers to cut their own wood" (after showing him the piece I had in hand). Well, at first I was thinking "That's awesome" and started walking down the aisle he pointed towards. Right at the end, there was table with a hand saw...to cut a 2x4? Not happening. Every time we go here the staff is super friendly but this very last visit, the staff went above and beyond. We were in search of a portable air conditioner as ours had went up on the hottest day of the summer. After already feeling defeated as our air conditioner would not be replaced for several days we were at a loss. When we walked in we were helped immediately. We were in search of a stand up unit rather than a window one and they had none on the floor but the gentlemen had told us that they had just pulled a pallet down for another customer and that he could see if there was a standing unit on the pallet. We follow him over to the pallet and there was indeed a stand up unit on the pallet. It was an LG but the box appeared to be in not so great shape and had clearly been opened. We asked what the price was for this particular unit and the employee wasn't sure so he called the manager over (Jeramy) and he explained that the price would be 400$ and that he thinks this unit had been a floor model. He explained that he could take 20% off the unit since it was a floor model but before even thinking about negotiating, he wanted to plug it in and make sure it worked and had all its parts. He plugged it in and it had everything it needed. With the 20% off the original price, we then asked if he could just bring the price down to an even 300$ and he agreed to do that. And the cashier was super accommodating and then Jeramy even brought the unit on a hand truck all the way to our car and helped us load it up! I could not have had a better experience! I like this store a lot. Every time I go in staff go out of their way to help me find what I am looking for. The past few times they have someone literally at the door who asks, "Can I help you?" He was willing to take me to the isle rather than just pointing and he was VERY friendly. Home projects aren't really my thing, but shopping here is painless. Do not have anything delivered or installed through this store. I placed an order for a dishwasher and microwave. Home Depot uses a delivery company called Spirit delivery. They didn't show up or call the day they were supposed to deliver. Home Depot and spirit blamed each other for what happened. When it was delivered the installers broke the dishwasher while using their hips to put it into place. They turned it on and left without waiting to see if there were any leaks. The next day I found water 8ft away from the dishwasher because he water ran underneath my cabinets and under the floor. I now have mold growing and need it all to be replaced. I called Home Depot right away and they said it wasn't there problem and I was to contact spirit. It took a MONTH to get a hold of someone at spirit to file a claim. Meanwhile my kids are breathing in mold. I sent in paperwork, pictures, testimonials, and estimates. I am still waiting for this to get fixed. The dishwasher was delivered February 4. It is now April 8. Home Depot nor spirit are helping to resolve this issue. DO NOT order anything from Home Depot because this is the service you will receive.
