This store keeps horrible inventory, they will NOT have your product but will still charge you, tell you it's ready for pickup, and then refund part or all of the order the same day you are going to receive it. The reviews are right. This Home Depot is lacking in customer service. The employees stare above customers heads as they pass them to avoid interaction. When approached, they seem to have a hard time understanding what is being asked. I guess "light bulbs" are quite a complicated product, that it is difficult to wrap ones mind around the concept of it, much less point out which aisle it can be located in this store. Once ready to pay, this customer found no cash register open except for the self-checkout. It's easy for me since my purchase were small items. However, one employee just stood there as a customer struggled with large items--absolutely no help offered or at the very least have someone man 1, just 1, cash register. I never send comments that are negative feedback; however, I am a new customer to your store and plan to visit in the future since we have relocated to Harlingen. I am 66 years old and have frequented Home Depot's all my life. I am a strait forward contractor, often needing materials for plumbing, electrical, etc,. I am embarrassed by the shape of your store and plan to report that to corporate Home Depot, given what I witnessed. I was in Home Depot last week. I am a teacher and was looking for a sheet of sanitary board to use as a white board to write on with Expo markers to use while teaching virtually. A young man by the name of Jesse was very helpful. He cut it yo the measurements I needed. He cut the rest up into manageable pieces and with the scraps he made little whiteboards for kids to use when we come back to in person teacher. He helped move everything to my car. Great customer service and he made this teachers life just a little bit easier during uncertain times. Thank you! read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. I stupidly waited 20 minutes for someone to help me get a product from a locked area. 3 all calls and no one showed up. One of the all calls was done because I called the store and said I had been waiting 15 minutes and 2 all calls already. This store has the worst service. I have worked in construction for over 10 years all over the country, dealing with HD's in each place. This is hands down the worst one I have ever experienced, on numerous occasions for 5 years now. They don't answer the phone and as a rule, when they do, they immediately transfer you to a ghost extension where the phone will ring endlessly. The culture of the team there is, "It's not my job! Let me call someone to help you.", while they bullshit with their friends, right in front of you. Whoever runs this location, needs To open their eyes or be fired by corporate. Incompetence, floats through the air of this place. Customer Service is not in their vocabulary, Spanish or English. Very sad. read more

I went in looking to buy a refrigerator. I had money in hand and was prepared to spend about $2000. I found the refrigerator that I was interested in purchasing and stood in front of it for about 30 minutes. Employees would walk by without acknowledging my presence and when I would say "excuse me" wishing to get their attention, they would blow me off or say "I'll be right with you" very condescendingly then just ignore me. This store has forgotten what customer service is all about. I would not recommend The Home Depot to anyone. I went across the street to Lowe's and got immediate attention and they were very courteous and helpful. read more

I make multiple purchases daily for my company and our crews. This PRO desk is the absolute hands down most disrespectful and beyond sad customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. They wasted more than 2 hours of our time to run a transaction for several hundreds of dollars worth of tools. They never even ran the credit card according to my credit card company. From PRO desk to manager, this store is a straight up CIRCUS of clowns. Nobody can give you an answer and continually tell you that you are wrong and don't know what you are talking about. I would highly recommend trying another location or skipping HD all together. Save yourself the drama! They get 1 star because I had to give it something. This is one of the least well run Home Depot stores I have shopped in. It used to be my home store, as I lived in la Feria. The latest example: On a recent visit to the area I drove about 20 minutes to pick up some battery operated tools I needed for a job the next morning. This was on a Sunday evening so the posted store closing time was 8 pm. I got there at 7:50 pm and was met at the door by an employee (who was guarding the door) who said they were closed. I pointed out that my phone showed the time as 7:50 pm. She said they had a lot of things to do in the store, so they were not letting anyone else in. Although a few more people arrived shortly after I did, they all got the same response. The next day I complained to the corporate office about the situation and the store manager has been unresponsive to this point. It is now 10 days and 3 phone calls to corporate - no response from the store. Wake up, Home Depot you're not the only store in town. If you are going to post hours of operation, honor them. If you are going to set up a complaint process, respond. Your customers deserve better. Your former customers won't care. read more

I agree with many of the other reviews. The employees just stand around chatting. I needed to find some stuff and I saw 4 guys hanging around a forklift trying to avoid eye contact with customers. Didn't want to disturb their lively conversation, so I just went to Lowes. Pathetic. That said, this home depot has far superior lumber and selection of products than Lowes, so I'll keep coming back (now that I've taught myself where everything is :-). Also, Lowes won't cut the lumber for you like Home Depot will. It's like they're too afraid that you won't pay for it afterwards. I asked for a sheet of 4x8 plywood to be cut at Lowes, explaining that I had a Nissan Versa hatchback that I needed to fit it in. Even offered to pay for it first. No one would do it there. But at Home Depot, an older, very knowledgeable gentleman said "Sure, no problem" and cut it to my specs. It's like Lowes is for the upper-scale bourgeois home owner who is willing to pay a bit more and wants to shop in a slightly cleaner environment. Meh. Home Depot is geared more for the working man, where serious DIY-ers go for the best choice in hardware. read more

This has got to be the WORST place I have ever dealt with period. We purchased a sofa in early November. The first delivery was delayed no explanation. The second delivery was delayed because the sofa was broken. The 3rd time, the truck arrived and the sofa was not on the truck!!!! I called at 12:30 pm and was told it was going to be delivered from Pharr to Harlingen in the time it would take to make the trip. Aka.. 30-45 minutes. At 2:30 I called again and was promised a call back by management. I received a call from the original drivers and was told they were on their way with the sofa?!?! When they arrived, they told us the drivers who had the sofa "didn't want to come to Harlingen" so they transferred the load to them! Wait! What?!?! They said they Nearly dropped it in the transfer! Now I understand how the last sofa was broken! The original drivers finally delivered and set us up close to 3pm 5 weeks after purchase. I would never recommend or purchase from this place again, EVER!! They are horrible!!!! read more

This HD is not focused on customer service at all. I returned a faulty water heater under warranty. The store credit I received was about half the cost of a new unit which was the exact model of the one I returned. The new water heater was dented on the bottom so they "graciously" gave me a $45 discount on a $599 item and then wouldn't apply the Veteran's 10% discount be a use they already gave me a discount for the damage. Incidentally, they had only two of the model in stock and both were dented on the bottom. read more

I called to get some information. I was put on hold and passed around to different employees for about 15 min without an answer. So I decided to make the drive and walk in. Now I'm not sure if its just me, but every time I walk into the Home Depot, every employees seems to hide from the customers. Once you do find one he will either refer you to the right employee in that department or they have very little knowledge of their products. My suggestion is to do your homework on what you might need before walking in this store. Its just upsetting to talk to someone who does this for a living and knows absolutely nothing about it. Horrible service was given the run around by customer service reps. I asked to pay for expedited shipping on an item. They said they couldnt find it even though i showed them confirmation. They suggested I cancel my order and buy there. They called and told me that my order was cancelled. I then called myself and was told that it wasnt. Do yourself a favor and go to Lowes. read more

Terrible customer service i went to homedepot to get a waterheater I knew which one I wanted so I entered the store ask in front if someone in plumbing was available the person up front said yes so I went to plumbing found the waterheater right away so I ask a man working on something there if I could get help he called for someone after a few minutes of waiting I asked a different guy he said I'll call someone ,another 3 or 4 min pass so I ask a third guy passing by that also worked there he called someone after more minutes I asked a different employee if anyone worked in that department ,he also said I'll call someone so I spend about 12 min waiting for someone just to help me with the water heater so I called my husband who was going to meet me told him let's go to lowes instead by the time I Cross the street N got to the water heaters in lowes my husband had just arrive asked an employee for help the man had a cart to put the heater on N we headed to check out in a time frame of 5 to 6 min that's customer service thank you lowes. read more
