This is a typical Home Depot but I found that some of the merchandise I was looking for was limited. The staff also didn't fully seem to know where some products were. Also of note, the floors throughout the store were a bit slippery and I slid about 2 times. It's convenient if you are in the area and there is a Walmart right next door. read more

We placed an order for delivery, since they offer that service. We were told next day. The day of delivery no word, we called and no one had a answer as to whether it would arrive, it did not. We were then told they would deliver the next day or call us by 12 p.m. if they couldn't. By 1 p.m. we called them and told they could not deliver. They said " you might as well pick it up yourself " that was the Honesdale Pennsylvania store. Not happy as it cost us 2 days of laborers on site. Neither Sam nor Marrisa called. read more

I will never shop at Home Depot again. I bought my first big purchase here a couple of weeks ago and it has been a disaster. First of all when I bought the washer and dryer in person, the sales associate told me that it came with the stacking kit that I needed. A couple of days later when the appliance got delivered, they did not have a stocking kit and told me that I forgot to order it. I refused the order and had them send the washer and dryer to a warehouse until the stacking kit came in and I rescheduled the order. A day before my order was supposed to be delivered again, I got a text message saying that my order was going to be delayed and that I would get a phone call from them. So I went to bed, disappointed and woke up to a missed call saying that my delivery would be "leaving at 9:15 AM". I assumed that they would be leaving their other location at 9:15 because as per the text from the night before, my order was delayed and I was not expecting them. When really they were sitting outside my house without my knowledge and left the premises at 9:15. When I called to check on the delivery, they said that they attempted to deliver, but I did not answer the door and that I would have to reschedule. AGAIN. All because Home Depot failed to at the VERY least, give me a heads up on my delivery time. They also failed to sell me the stacking kit in the first place. The sales associate literally told both me and my mother that the stacking kit was included. This whole ordeal has been so annoying and stressful. Do not order any major appliances from this store unless you want a headache and a disaster of a delivery. read more

I'v been using this HD for a month on a huge house renovation. The staff has been absolutely amazing and it's been a fantastic experience in a nearly daily encounter. Online orders mostly. Some that took a full 5x8 U-Haul to bring home. One day three orders ten minutes apart. They were all filled within one hour and when the associate brought them out in a very cheery tone says "you really kept me busy today". Fantastic crew I interacted with at least 14 different people and every one was top notch! read more

We had a construction job being done at our home, and, because we are both Veterans, we ordered the material for the contractor to be delivered to our home. When it arrived, the sheetrock was damaged by the trucking co. We called to get a replacement, but hit roadblock after roadblock by the trucking co. and still no sheetrock. We called multiple times to Home Depot, and Tammy was the one we mainly spoke with, and she was doing everything she could think of to get us our product. Finally, tired of the trucking co., Tammy called and asked it it was ok to cut the sheetrock so it would fit in a regular truck, which we said ok. Well, she drove the 25 miles in her personal truck to deliver our sheet rock. That's customer service above and beyond.. read more

Thanks to the staff of the Honesdale, PA, Home Depot for wearing masks, being helpful, and friendly. However, I have noticed that some few customers are walking into and about the store without a mask. Some store employee must talk with and ask them to leave if they do not comply with store and PA rules. I will be less likely to shop here if I continue to see maskless customers. I would normally give this store 4 stars, only losing one because of often being low in stock of some items. I'm dropping it here to two stars because of the safety issues. read more

Several times I've tried to buy paint, the 2 older men that work there are always rushed and somewhat rude, for example, talking to my husband and ignoring me, although I'm the one asking the question. The last time I was there one forced me to buy $60 paint saying that it was the only thing that would work for my project, and it turned out to be the completely wrong thing. The rest of the store is very understocked, even on basic things like lumber and spray paint. If you check their app, Monticello always has everything in stock, I will start going there instead. *Also beware buying appliances: they push the extended warranties, but neglect to tell you that the major appliance companies (Samsung, LG) DO NOT offer ANY service in this area. Best thing about this store, the girls at the front registers are always nice and helpful. read more

Ordered two shelving unit paid in full for delivery only to be told at end of day of delivery that they had canceled the order as they did not have the items and I would have to come in to present credit card for refund. Most of people that work there are helpful. The store is usually clean. Sometimes not well stocked. The check out is usually fast, except for weekends . Sometimes hard to find floor people to help, especially hardware & lumber. read more

Typical Home Depot located in Honesdale, PA. Big Parking lot. Store was well kept, and the people working there were helpful. One issue is that getting to it can be tricky, as it seems to be on top of a massive hill overlooking the main road in the area, and its a bit of a drive to get to it. read more
