Excellent big box DIY store with great stock and helpful staff. They also have great plants and seeds in summer. Recommend.

Westinghouse Review to further Bore you this Winter Day......At the end of my review you will know…read morewhy this company holds a place in my heart. Besides my family owning many appliances over the years. The original company was the Westinghouse Electric Corporation formed 1886 by George Westinghouse. Westinghouse entered the major appliance industry by acquiring the Copeman Electric Stove Company in 1917. Copeman had begun manufacturing its first electric ranges in 1914. The company claims to have made important innovations: * 1930s refrigerators with sealed refrigeration units * 1930s room air conditioners * 1930s portable dishwashers * 1939 automatic washing machine that was not bolted to the floor. * 1950s auto-defrost refrigerators. They manufactured both large and small appliances for many years. Today appliances bearing the White-Westinghouse name are still made by Electrolux. White-Westinghouse is an American home appliance brand. It was created in 1975 when White Consolidated Industries bought the Westinghouse Electric Corporation's major appliance business. White Consolidated Industries was in turn acquired by Electrolux in 1986. Side Note: My Family lived a short walk from the Electrolux Factory in Greenwich. We were very sad when it closed in 1985. Electrolux executives say foreign competition and the need to automate forced them to close the ''mother factory,'' where the company got its start. I agree with Michael that the products never die. I'm recommending.

Westinghouse is a true business enigma. At its height in the late 19th and 20th centuries, founder…read moreGeorge Westinghouse and his successors were hanging out with the likes of Nikolai Tesla and Thomas Edison perfecting lighting and power generation, yielding a product portfolio that included nuclear reactors, elevators, home stereos, short wave radios, modular housing and the lowly toaster among many others. The Westinghouse brand was as solid as any catering to industry and the consumer. It's longstanding trope... "You Can Be Sure if It's Westinghouse" was both a slogan and an ironclad promise. Then as will sometimes happen, new management brings new ideas which meant focusing on their industrial businesses while farming out their logo in the consumer space to anonymous makers of cut-rate appliances and televisions with quality and reliability the first casualties - not fully understanding that these lousy, outsourced products would drag their name through the mud. Oh they're still around generating nuclear power around the world but their days as a household name are long gone -- unless you're a fan of informercials (as I am.) Who would have thought that the wonky nebbish Tesla would now be the invincible power brand. Three easy stars for a 50 y/o, 20 watt stereo receiver/8-track player (with a ridiculous "loudness" button) that still works and two bonus stars for longevity. My parents pumped a ton of Perry, Frank and Dean through this baby.

We did not have enough to buy one outright and decided to go in to see what they had and how it could be handled. We entered the store and found it to be clean and orderly. We were given an opportunity to look things over and the sales persons were available to answer any questions that we might have. After looking around to see what they had to offer, a salesperson approached us and, to make a long story short, they were able to help us with no trouble at all. We were given options with which to make our purchase/rental agreement, and were surprised by just how reasonable it was! We did not feel pressured and the staff were professional and also friendly. We had a lot of questions and were treated very respectfully. We would most heartily return to Aaron's in the future! 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!!

I was unfortunately behind approximately 17 days on my payment. My employer has almost identical hours and I am in a call center with many people who sit around me, so answering or making calls even during my lunch is highly frowned upon as others are still on the phones. I have never received such poor customer service in my life. I did not question a late fee or go in with an attitude in the least. I was told that I should have still answered my phone or called them but I can't chance loosing my job over it. Maybe if they had an answering machine I could have let them know the exact date that I would have been in to see them. I was told that me or my family never coming back to make any purchases was my loss. When your store is based on sales, my rather large family and group of friends is their loss by far.

The 2 employees that did the service were incredibly rude and disrespectful. One of them actually yelled at me to wear a mask. On top of the less than stellar customer service, I recently discovered the wire they routed was cut in half and then crudely taped back together! I discovered this while attempting to diagnose issues with my dash cam not recording. The cut wire was the issue....This wire being cut in half was obviously their fault and was never mentioned to me after service was complete. I paid over $60 for my property to be destroyed and to be treated like dirt in the process. AVOID THIS LOCATION LIKE THE PLAGUE. I would recommend the Altoona Best Buy location.
