The employee at the tool rental has no respect for women. Multiple times insulting my wife and her capabilities to operate a tool. He said things like "make sure your husband does it". Not only that but there was an issue with the tool we rented and he would not listen and proceeded to put her down instead of inspecting the tool. I would not recommend renting from this location if the employee can freely disrespect its customers. read more

Our Local Community Home Depot has amazing kids event. They have this event, the 1st Saturday of each month for kid's age 5-12 years old. This Home Depot Program is great for single moms, with sons. The entire staff at Home Depot, goes out their way to teach kids how to fix things at home for mom. And they also offer tools and kits, for each child to build and to take home. The event is free and each child gets an apron and a pin, plus takes home cools projects each month. Horribly staffed in the appliance department. The staff has a sincere disregard for customer service. They think they are doing a favor by being open. Ordered appliances and was promised a delivery and scheduled a delivery for the appliances and Home Depot never called or delivered the appliances. After being on the phone for two hours and taking the day of to receive the appliances the delivery company never showed. After calling and calling it was determined that the appliances never arrived and NO one contacted me. Now the delivery is scheduled in a week. The customer service and attention to detail is lost. I scheduled my day off to receive the delivery and I gave away my washer and dryer expecting a new set. Now I will have to resort to laundromat for a week because of the lack of communication. read more

This review is edfor the store off of South Mall Road in Knoxville--I think it is called Centerline Road. No matter. I want to make sure I give CREDIT where credit is due and if you noticed my rating, I would give it a NEGATIVE star if I could. Apparently, low ambition and even uninterest and lack of knowledge qualifies you to be an employee there. My 75 year old grandmother walked into the store where I had given her the defective blind last weekand instructed her to ask the specialist to give her a replacement when she did her shopping in the area. Today, which is the 12th of January 2022, she went in. This is what occurred. After contacting two employees and walking around the area where NONE were to be found, even in the next department, she finally tracked down 2 employees sitting in some kind of specialty department out of sight, and she requested help. She asked one to get her some help. No one came. Then lucky for her (at the time) she found another guy walking, and asked him to contact someone to help her. They said they would send someone to flooring. No one came and finally she got someone else who finally got someone. The 30s age roughly HD employee asked my GRANDMOTHER what size she needed. I guess holding the blind in her hands which roughly was wider than she didn't offer the clerk a clue that she didn't know. I'm sure a half intelligent person wouldn't ask a person that since that person would ASSUME that if she knew the measurements, she wouldn't be carrying that item in her hands in front of her!!! Moving along with that inquiry, the clerk then said she didn't have the size of the blinds in that size to cut down? Say what? Then my grandmother repeated twice, once before she asked what size, that she went into the store a few years ago, and they measured it and they told her what size as she couldn't remember if an inch or half an inch needed to be added or deducted so the blind would fit in to the existing brackets. My grandmother speaks english very well for 75 years and she is quite intelligent so she speaks very well so that most people with a lot of brain cells would UNDERSTAND what she wants--again, one would think the broken blind in her hand would be a dead give away--but I digress. Finally my grandmother took another tactic and said NO NO, when I bought the blind years ago, it was already precut. They had various sizes already packaged. The Home Depot employee then said, alright we have some here and my grandmother had initally told her she wanted the cheapest one. Then when she pointed out a $9 plus one, my grandmother said, No, there is one for $7 and change right over here, which was to the right of the employee. Great Service. Here's a tip people. If you have stock in HD, I strongly suggest you invest in some other hardware company. I don't know how they are in other towns, but based on some of the local reviews, I wouldn't let grass grow under my feet to get my money out REAL quick. PS: The HD employee was a woman. She went into the paint department and the male employee who we both predict won't be there long, refused to assist her while checking something out in the paint aisle. He said he had to look for something. No customer was there or near him. Since he didn't know where the returned paint was, I am not surprised at his ignorance. read more

I'm rating this based only on the order online/in-store pickup experience. I was shopping for a push mower online and was able to (through the reviews and search/shopping filters) make a pretty sound decision on one I liked. I placed the order and off we go. I was not able to immediately go get the mower the next day and the store was kind enough to call and let me know. It got a little overkill after the 4th or 5th call. Once I was able to go I took my printed in-store pickup voucher and walked in. The line was OK and seemed to be moving well. The lady at the front was able to help me and get the mower tracked down. I had paid to have it loaded in the vehicle but as it turned out there was no one else available other than 1 person. The mower finally came out on the cart and me and the 1 person got it loaded up. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I would say that went as well as it could. I was just slightly irked to have paid for loading and ended up hurting my back a little anyway. thus downgrade from 4 to 3. So in conclusion I would say you should feel pretty safe getting exactly what you ordered online in the store...but you might as well take someone with you to load it, ha. read more

I cant think of a worse buying experience. My wife and I purchased appliances in April and we still haven't received them. ( July 14th) Our delivery date has been pushed back 3 times and each time I have to call to find out that the date has been moved. Spoke with the GM who said he couldn't do anything because it was the delivery services fault. He did say he would call me back with an update, but that never happened. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. They won't help, say that "can't" do what Lowe's will do for nothing. They treat their employees like dirt. They offer them erratic schedules, demand they push credit accounts that will do more harm than goos to consumers, and actually write employees up for taking an extra moment to help a customer. The woman who oversees cashiers is by far the worst. On more than a few times I've had to enter Home Depot (competition was out of stock), I have seen this woman verbally assault her staff. She is pushy and unreasonable, but if the employee has erred, have some class and don't discipline in front of customers. We are not impressed. Here is why you, as a customer, should care. The employees are beaten on by management, blamed for things far beyond their control, and spread so thin between departments they cannot help you. There are dedicated people in some departments, but as a whole when a group of people is mistreated as much as you will find they have been, they cannot be especially useful to you. read more

On June 5, I arrived to Home Depot on Clinton Hwy. I grabbed the Pump Armor and went to the self-checkout. As I was walking up to the self-check out I saw three (latinx/Hispanic) men purchasing tool belts. They each paid for their own stuff, didn't use a bag, and started walking to the door. I finished my transaction a few seconds after and also started walking to the door, without a bag. There was a young woman (in her early 20s) standing with her iPad tracking the number of people who left the store to maintain the social distancing regulations. But as they were walking to the door she asked to see their receipts. I watched as she checked the first two men's. The third man started walking out and she said no, sir I need to see your receipt. He handed it to her and she unfolded it and double checked his purchase. She then tried to give the receipt back, but he refused. They walked out the door. I walked up, and as I was walking up I started to hand her receipt. She said "oh no, you're good." I said no and tried to give the receipt and she didn't take it. I walked out of the store, in shock/disbelief. I drove home and processed the whole encounter and then called the store to file a complaint with a manager. he said he would "take care of it." If you are going to check receipts, you must not racial profile anyone, and you need to do it equally across the board. read more

I have spent thousands of dollars in this store n was floored on the behavior and what makes matters worse is this behavior was encouraged and no apology was given at all n ast mgn acted worse than the employee. So let's start from the start walked in planning to spend a lot of money and do some serious shopping and never had an issue with the store until today 5/26/20 at 6:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon . I dealt with a few gentleman that was very nice and professional showed me the store and he answered every question but did not get his name I did ask him a few questions about paint and he told me it was an aisle three or four. I went to the paint section n was serviced by a woman named Dee with gray hair an older woman n she was having a conversation w another customer n I waited my turn. D: said how can I help u Then I asked my questions Dee then continued with her side conversation w another customer about a beeper and living in the stone ages n etc ignoring me and not really answering my questions and didn't have her full attention so she could address my concerns. I let that slide. I went to look at the paint samples And asked some Questions about paint and paint that she carries in store because I seen on the website and Dee kept giving short rude answers D: said they only carry two types of paint only . Walked off. eye roll. I wanted to know about a different color or product n comparison She stated: I would need to go to that store n ask them I Was asking about a Benjamin Moore color n wanted bear paint and was told to go to a Competitors store I let that slide Then I asked her to make me a sample in Benjamin Moore color In a sample of gloss and since she did not want to research for me or answer any Questions and kept being unprofessional n rude I just asked her to make the paint n got quiet. She made another rude statement. Then I asked for her manger. She had got a even nastier attitude n who do u think u are .. then told the other employee to call for a manager. We did major remodeling in the fall/winter of 2017. We looked around at several places for kitchen remodelers but no one was as helpful, patient, and attentive to details as Bryan Kesterson. The thing that really set Bryan apart is he actually listened to what we wanted and did everything he could to deliver that at a price point we were comfortable with. My wife is absolutely thrilled with her new kitchen. It's been 3 months and I'm still getting kisses and hugs from her for this. :-) The installation was top notch. Overton Construction did the work. Frank and Mike (brothers) just did a fantastic job. We couldn't be more happy. Skip Sanders was our electrician and he did an awesome job as well. I can't speak for working with others at Home Depot but my experience with the folks mentioned above I worked with was nothing short of amazing. read more

I absolutely cannot stand this Home Depot. I usually prefer Lowe's for my home improvement needs, but occasionally I have to make the desperate run to this HD instead. When I went in a few months ago to look for bathroom vanities, I had an employee get up in my face to tell me that she was too busy helping someone else to help me. The last time I went in, I was trying to find someone in flooring. When someone from another department helped us track down the one person working in flooring, he said he was in the middle of stocking and would be with us in a little bit. We waited around 15 minutes (just to get a per square foot cost for install because it wasn't posted!) and he still never showed up. If you don't have any customers, what's the point in stocking?! read more

This location of Home Depot rocks. They do not sell out of all the beautiful garden items and plants quite as quickly as the busier locations in town. The staff is super helpful, too. The quality of their herb and vegetable plants is on point. I've had so many wonderful herbs and tomatoes, cucumbers, radish, okra, etc thrive that I"ve purchased here - and I'm a container gardner (a lazy one at that). I think it's superior to the Lowes store located down the street. read more

Recent trip to Home Depot on Schad Rd. Purchased paint. Using a piece of trim has paint mixed. It didn't look right but I took it and painted my trim. Well I was correct. Paint was at least two shade darker. Went back to return paint to get remixed. Using a paint stick that had original color on it as well as newly mixed to show paint department employee the mistake and get a new mix. Employee refused to remixed and demanded to see the piece of trim used to make original mix. I tried to explain to him color on stick was same color. He wasn't listening and refused to correct he mistake. He became very defensive and rude. New I was fighting a losing battle and left. I guess at Home Depot on Schad Road the employee is always right not the customer. read more

My husband and I bought our first washer and dryer from this Home Depot. After 6 months of having the washer, it started making this weird clicking noise like an internal bumper wasn't aligned. We contacted the store who said they would get us an appointment with a technician to service our washer. The Samsung technicians were the worst and stood us up twice. Don't use Lakes Electronics (they were unreliable and rude over the phone)! Today, after taking off two days of work to try to meet these technicians who stood us up, my husband called the store manager at Home Depot. The manager is really working hard to make everything better. The manager ordered us a new washer and is going to deliver and switch our washers for free, since it is under warranty. This could have been a much more stressful situation, but they really wanted to make sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this Home Depot! read more

Please do not fall bait to their special offers on carpet installation. We had ours installed, about a year later the carpet started rolling. We had them come to stretch it and it popped a seam. After dealing with them for over 6 months to fix the issues, the carpet we had originally ordered was no longer available. We had to find something "comparable" (and didn't match) or take a credit for less then we paid and still pay more to replace. With all that said, just keep it simple and get simple things there if you HAVE to go there. Leave certain areas to the professionals. read more

Stood outside the lumber/rental department waiting for unattended vehicles to be moved so I could load my newly purchased products in my vehicle. home depot associate ask me if I needed help and I pointed to all the unattended vehicles that were blocking the loading area. he stated the area was for loading only. really, don't see anyone loading unattended vehicles. returned my purchased products since I could not get my vehicle into the loading area to load up my purchased products. the home depot associate was not polite and has no clue what customer service is. he felt he was the most important person in the store since he was the only person that could/can operate a lift truck. he felt he was the reason I could not load my vehicle. news for him, you are narcissistic. it's not about you, it's about the customer. the customer is paying your wages. if it wasn't for customers, you wouldn't receive any wages. loose the attitude. be customer friendly.
