I have visited Twisted Sisters Shop several times and always found them to be warm, friendly and helpful. I called yesterday regarding the AccuQuilt Cutting Systems to make sure they were a dealer and had demo models prior to driving from Knoxville. I was pleased to find out they did. When I arrived, I was greeted even though they were busy with other customers. When the customers had been helped the shop owner, Amy then spent well over an hour with me, educating me and letting me try the different machines. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, making appropriate and helpful suggestions on the dies I would need based to the type of quilting I do. She was able to put together a custom package at a great price (even better than Amazon). I left pleased and feeling like I not only made an appropriate purchase but also a new friend. The different selections at this shop was nice. I was happy to find some different things here that I've not been able to find before in a brick and mortar shop. The foundation paper piecing was an amazing find. The shop was clean and well organized. Fabric selection was good and was very reasonable in price. I did ask for a few yards of fabric to be cut along with my other selections, the clerk was a bit abrasive at first and I was as thinking to myself "oh it figures typical quilt shop employee not taking a younger quilter seriously ". However, I pushed a little and made her stir up some conversation that was a little better but she still could have been a little more pleasant. Overall a nice place but I'm not sure I would drive out of my way to go there again. read more

What an awesome quilt shop, definitely has all the fabric I like. Fig tree, Riley Blake, Cory Yoder just to name a few. Walking in your welcomed by the sweet owner and helpful staff along with complimentary bottles of water and candy off to the right hand side as your coming through the door. Lots of Moda fabric, high quality, in all designs. They have quilt classes here as well. Come in and browse, I guarantee you'll leave with something. Highly suggested. read more

I went out of my way to go to this shop and was so very disappointed. There was a nice selection of foundation piecing patterns but overall it was underwhelming. I like to support local quilt shops and picked up a couple of items. Nothing that had to be cut. There was one lady who was cutting who was grumpy and outwardly hostile. I know there were other people working in thee shop but no one came to assist the other people waiting to pay or have fabric cut. I stood in line waiting for service for about 15 minutes before I gave up, put everything back and walked out. Never have I been in a quilt shop so openly hostile and unfriendly. read more

Great local quilt shop with a good variety of fabrics and notions. I'd stopped in a few times in their old location but this was my first visit to their new location since they moved last year. I was so excited to see a small selection of Tula Pink fabrics today! They did not used to stock many fabrics in line with a modern quilting aesthetic, but I found several great lines available today. I'll stop in more frequently now. The only down side is their limited hours of operation. They are open 10-4pm on Monday through Saturday, which is hard for anyone who works a typical 9-5 schedule. read more

I went in to look for a grunge fabric for a project I was working on. When I entered no one greeted me and I saw there was one other customer looking around the store. There were three employees standing around the cutting table chatting, and three people in a back room with the door open. A few minutes after I arrived the other customer left without making a purchase. No employee asked if they could help me, they just kept chatting. I decided to look around at all the displays as I looked for the grunge. I finally found the grunge on my own but I decided after being in there almost 10 minutes and being treated as though I was invisible I would rather give my money to a shop that cares about me as a customer, even if I have to go to Knoxville. I left without making a purchase. Twisted Sisters Quilt Shop used to be a very friendly customer centered shop before the new ownership. I will definitely will not be going back there. read more
