Worst service, rating would be a zero but they don't allow it. Made a purchase online for pickup next day, following day they cancelled my order, when I arrived they told me they cancelled the order because they couldn't find the stock. Luckily HD tells you exactly where it is placed on their site, lo and behold exactly where the site indicated it would be. Reason they truly cancelled my order was to not respect the advertised price that was online, instead Miriam the flooring supervisor wanted to take me for an idiot by offering me a small discount instead of respecting the initial advertised online price as well as the consumer law in Quebec. read more

The delivery guys came with totally broken Magestic plants. In picture the worse one. Told him to bring them back and he refused and told me to call customer support. Calles took one hour and they told me to bring the broken plants myself when I paid for delivery as they do not fit in my car. After some complains he agreed to send someone to pick them up but nobody called me or sent me an email. A real scam. Bravo Home Depot for your support and poor rules with delivery. read more

I am not a fan. Why, you might ask? This place is humongous, clean, well-organized with excellent signage for each aisle, well-stocked with practically everything - even an excellent gardening department with a great assortment of flowers and plants. This store even has a super parking lot and adjacent garage. So why am I less than happy with this place? I came here to get a particular light bulb. I found a two-pack of said bulbs on the shelf with a yellow sign underneath saying the sale price was $2.74. What a deal! I was surprised when the item rang up at the cash for $10.99. I went and got a photo of the sale price to show the cashier and she pointed out, in small letters on the sale sign, it said "four pack". I told the casher that there weren't any 4-packs on the shelf, only 2-packs. I was hoping she'd sell me the 2-pack for the same price as the 4-pack, as there were no 4-packs left and I certainly would have purchased some if there were. Or at least given me a raincheck. Or something. But nope. Nothing was said and nothing was offered. So I had to get the 3-pack for $10.99 when the sold-out 4-packs of the exact same bulbs had cost $2.74. I was pissed off. (The cashier wasn't rude. She was young and just not caring). Sometimes the inflexibility of large chain stores is a real downer. read more

I took time off work to start a home reno project and have wasted 2 days trying to get materials delivered. Will be canceling order and will never buy from them again. I was visiting an older friend in Montreal and she asked me to help her with a project in her home. We went to Home Depot in Westmount to purchase a few things and had real difficulty getting help. One guy seemed annoyed at my request for help and ignored me altogether by mumbling something in French. Another one was a bit more forthcoming and a third one we addressed was helpful enough to help us advance in our purchases. I found my overall experience unpleasant. I wish more Home Depot employees on the floor of this store would stop chatting amongst themselves and be more willing to help even when addressed in English. read more

The Home Depot floor representative Irv at the St-Antoine location is by far one of the best client-facing employees I've had the pleasure of working with. And if we only had to do business with him, I would recommend time and time again for his knowledge, professionalism and efficiency. However, when we received our appliances today, the delivery team lacked professionalism, did not install the way we were told it would happen and they damaged our entrance and floors. They did not apologize, and rushed out of the house and let us know that their job was done and we had to call Home Depot should we want to raise the concern about damages. They didn't even want to wait for us to inspect all appliances and left us a blank form for customer review of the appliances and any damage to property, which they did. Terrible ending that leads us not to recommend Home Depot. read more

FIVE STAR. Easy five star. I came to this location after deciding to build a hardware chess set for my secret santa exchange. I dealt with the hardware department, where a gentleman showed me much patience while trying to help me minimize cost and maximize the cool factor of the chess set. I dealt with the kitchen/bathroom department trying to find a good set of cute tiles that would be functional as a chess board, not to mention a cool chick from the paint department so that I could color 1/2 the set's pieces along with the checker board. All in all, the staff at this location were super nice, super friendly and all of them were super well informed concerning their departments. read more

Going through renovations I ended up many times in this location of Home Depot in the last weeks. Certainly the store has a great selection of a lot of things, but our focus was closets and kitchen shelfs. My friend built solid closets using the wonderful pine wood available in diffent sizes. The kudos go to the cutting service of the store. The guys working there are doing great job, they woork precisely and they are very helpful. If you need extra kitchen shelfs you can just take accurate measures, pick the laminated particle board and they will cut them for you. read more

Don't buy windows off these idiots! No attention to detail. They're taking down window measurements and putting rough opening sizes instead of actual specified sizes. $23k into the windows in my house and all the openings had to be modified to fit their "custom fit" windows at considerable cost to me. They also put some weird flange on the outside of the windows that I didn't ask for and looks like it's incomplete. Never buying windows here again! As far as their tool rental I wouldn't know. I spent 20 mins on hold trying to find out if they rent ladders and finally gave up. I went to gamma rental on st Jacques. They answer their phones. read more

It has all the products one would need concerning home, the first person that helped us out with our questions directed us to the right aisles and was quite friendly (we were looking for plastic to wrap our windows for the cold) Our quest for salt was a little bit more confused as the cashier sent us outside and I'd have to say her impression seemed a bit like she just wanted to scan stuff and get out. We hunted a bit around the store, (thank goodness we saw a pile in the middle of the store, when we were walking by) otherwise we would have been there for a lot longer! It's closest to our home and I definitely shop here often for garden stuff and home stuff! read more

Recently I have purchased at least two items from this store that when I brought them home proved to be defective. A bottle of cleaner that wasn't sealed properly and is now embedded in my car carpet and insulating tape that the adhesive tape wasn't attached. But of course, there is no way to return cleaner in the carpet and foam tape once you have cut it. We also looked for a bathroom fan and we found better and more silent fans at a competitor. read more

Having recently moved to Montreal last summer, naturally Home Depot would be a very often visited place and this store did not disappoint. We purchased many things including a wine refrigerator, general hardware and electrical items. This spring the focus centered on getting the terrace ready to enjoy. We purchased a brightly colored large outdoor plastic rug to tie the space together. After a couple of months, part of the rug began to disintegrate so on our most recent visit we brought the issue up at the service desk and they were very quick to take care of us. In a very short time we got to meet Donald, the flooring manager. Upon hearing about our experience and seeing some of the photos we had taken of the damage, he was able to address our concern and did everything he could to issue us a partial credit. That's what we call customer service! Both he and the service desk were so pleasant and attentive. Thanks for the great shopping experience. read more

Go somewhere else! I bought a dishwasher from this location, was told it would be delivered in three business days. I was called the evening before the delivery date and was told it wasn't coming - no explanation, no expected timeframe for the delayed delivery, nothing. I had to call Home Depot customer service to find out what was going on. Long story short, I was given four different delivery dates over a period of three weeks. I was given conflicting stories about what was going on. For example, at one point I was told they had it and gave me story about having a problem scanning the barcode, they booked a delivery date two business days later, then I got a call the evening before again and this time they told me they didn't have it and it was on back-order. Obviously one of those stories was a bald faced lie. At the time of writing I still don't have it and Home Depot is refusing to give me a refund! Even though they can't tell me when or even if I'm going to get it! STAY AWAY. read more
