We received an appliance delivery from Home Depot today (1/16/2025) and it was an absolute disaster. When ordering the appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave) we indicated in the online delivery special instructions for the new hardwood floors we recently had installed. The installer came out and there were issues with the installation. The install of the dishwasher and the water line was not properly hooked up... during that installation the installer had water all over my entire kitchen damaging the newly installed hardwood floors and the water leaked into my basement level damaging the drywall on the ceiling and coming down the sides of the walls, the newly installed carpets in the basement as well as part of the basement sofa was damaged due to water damage. The cabinet below the sink was also severely damaged. The refrigerator was not properly hooked up... the hardwood looks like the fridge was slid across the floor. They left divits, cracks and deep wood scars across the floor and the water damaged many of the hardwood planks. The refrigerator was not properly installed. Keep in mind, we paid Home Depot for the installation of the new equipment and the hauling off of the old appliances. When we called Home Depot, we had to submit a claim. We were told we should hear within 72 hours. The installer knew exactly what he had done and the issues he had caused as he directly called his manager during the delivery explaining the damages that were caused. I never thought this purchase of three appliances would turn into a total renovation project. Extremely disappointed right now ...for those of you reading this, I hope you never purchase appliances for delivery from Home Depot. After calling a 2nd time today... thinking talking with another person would put me at ease, it made things worse!!!! We are waiting for the company that Home Depot goes through to address our claim. At this point, I feel like I need to get an attorney...never ever will I return to Home Depot not even for a screw... because they definitely screwed us!!!!!!!!! read more

I wrote a letter to the Chairman & CEO of The Home Depot about my unacceptable experience. I mailed it Certified/Return Receipt on 01/02/20. The letter was received three days later. I finally received an email back from a representative in the Corporate Escalation Team. I didn't receive a callback when scheduled, however, I received a call from the Store Manager a day later. We discussed cross-training, employee/customer interactions, and management. The current Store Manager was deployed to the store two-and-a-half months ago. I suspect for some of the reasons described in my prior post. He was professional, courteous, and attentive. Not only did he address my concerns, but he also shared operational strategies to resolve problems the store and, most importantly, the corporation's issues. Of course I didn't want anything except to exhibit how business should operate. I wish the best of luck to the Store Manager in the current environment of non-engaged employees and the corporate climate of The Home Depot. read more

Worst customer service. Every time. Today, we've been here for an hour. Not one person has asked us if we need any help. I spotted an employee. We made eye contact. She quickly turned around and headed in the other direction. I stepped into the isle and said, "excuse me." She quickened her pace. I followed her. On the third time I loudly called "excuse me," she finally turned around. She was able to quickly answer my question. Then we went to the back and had a question about a door. The door specialist was busy with customers. We waited back by the doors. When he didn't come, we walked up to the counter in the door area. He was sitting and chatting with another employee. When he saw us, they finished their conversation and then it was convenient for him to help us. If there was another store in the area that had that products, I would go there. I guess they know that. It's disappointing. Btw - it was early afternoon on a Friday - and not busy. read more

Overall a very good store. I am usally there at least a couple times a week. They are not perfect, but if you have any issues I am sure it will be resolved if you speak with the manager. Staff is friendly and attentive. read more

Updating my previous review regarding contractors being problematic when arranged through this branch of Home Depot: Subsequently when I went in to complain, the person handling this was 'never on shift' and while someone arranged a replacement visit - they arranged the visit at my old address and the contractor called and canceled me to say he wouldn't work that far north. I visited again to express my dissatisfaction and guess what? The person I had been dealing with was not there. Frankly now, my dealings with Home Depot have reached an abrupt end as far as I am concerned. This has been such a colossal repetition of incompetence over something very simple that I am shocked. To further compound this travesty of ineptitude I just received a gift card letter from Home Depot, except it turns out that what I thought was a well intentioned apology by way of compensation was actually from a marketing company using Home Depot branding and details to try to get a 'free' in home demo of a product. If Home Depot passed on my details I will be very angry indeed - of course, I suspect I will not get an honest answer in response. I feel as though I have wasted a vast amount of time for zero results because there is no investment in customer care or interest in follow-up. Let me be abundantly clear - the service of those handling contracting work in this store is comedic in it's inability to perform customer service in the most basic forms and bereft of even fundamental customer facing values or job competence. read more

Never buy a appliance from Home Depot!!! Go to Lowes! Home Depot will not take it back no matter what! Brand new washer machine sucks! Have it serviced still sucks so they want to have the repair very week until they fix it no matter what! I can't keep taking off work! The machine doesn't work! Shop for appliance somewhere else! I've been to so many Home Depots that I've become accustomed to the fact that there aren't many knowledgeable folks working at these stores. Well intentioned, but not able to help on anything very important. Shrewsbury is an exception to this. Their hiring manager has done a terrific job at getting some pretty great people who worked in the trades to assist folks in this store. I was looking for a builder grade sliding door and the manager of this department was very knowledgeable about applications and specs that would match what I was looking for. Up to and including header sizing for the exterior wall. Additionally, I'd like to call out a fellow named Kent in the lumber department who took extra time to make sure I had a great experience. He insisted on helping me load quite a few sheets of heavy furniture grade plywood, which I appreciated as most HD employees will ask begrudgingly to help, then walk away at the slightest apprehension. Kent then asked what project I'd be using the plywood for and asked if I'd like the plywood ripped down to size for easier loading and less work later on as they have a nice saw there able to do so. He then went on to rip down nearly 10 sheets of furniture grade plywood perfectly to size which saved me hours at my shop doing it myself. I can't say how much I appreciated this and it reminded me of the old days working with small hometown lumber supply companies that have gone by the wayside. I'd recommend anyone to this particular store as it's worth driving out of your way to go here. I hope this review can improve what I see to be a misnomer in how it currently stands. read more

I have never had such a deplorable experience with customer service. I ordered a refrigerator a week ago and it was supposed to get delivered at 10am 7/7. I took a day off work to wait for the delivery. Around 11am 7/7 they called me and told me they can't make it today and would reschedule for the following week 7/13. I explained that I am having a kitchen installed tomorrow and it's imperative that I have that fridge today, they told me "sorry nothing we can do." I asked for a manager to call me and hour went by with no call. I called customer service and spent 45 mins being transferred around to 5 different people with no one willing to help or give me any answer. Finally they told me this store manager would call me. Twenty minutes later he calls and acts like he doesn't know what's going on, and he is "going to look into and call me back," again offering no solution. An hour later the assistant store manager calls me and offers his apology with no concern for correcting the issue. No one would do anything to help the customer, they are simply too big they have lost their focus on customer service and could clearly care less. They made zero effort to help me and as a result my kitchen install is now pushed back 4 weeks and all Home Depot can say is "sorry, it's out of hands." Amazingly according to Alan and David (Alan didn't even have to backbone to call me back), they had no way of getting me a fridge that I paid for a week ago. As a result I had no choice but to cancel the order and go to lowes who will be delivering the appliances tomorrow. All I was asking was for them to honor there promise to me of delivery on 7/7 and they tried to put it on me as if I was the bad guy. It's a said day when you spend thousands of dollars with a corporation and they passed the buck and pointed the finger at other people all day and would never own up to it. This place may be fine for nails and flowers but DO NOT make major purchases here, they WILL screw you over! read more
