The woman working that area was in no way concerned with the repetitive verbal prop from the register. The worker in the self checkout area seemed to have zero ability to accomplish the task she was doing. I went to the disabled cashier. She was very polite and completed my transaction. I always have great experiences with Home Depots and this was no exception. We went for the kids' workshop and the staff there was very friendly and kind to my kids. I had multiple people ask if we needed help as we walked through the store. They have a huge selection of Halloween decorations and my kids had the best time setting each of them off. Buyer Beware regarding Home Depot. I bought a new AmeriGas container from Home Depot in Pahrump. I paid $70.00 for the new container filled with propane. After using the container I went to refill it and was told that the container was good for only 5 years and not 12 years as a new container should be. Along with Home Depot AmeriGas is screwing you as well. The same happened to me with a container at Albersons as well. They were more than happy to fix things. Since I used the gas in the container with them they gave me an empty tank that was good for 12 years as it should be. I refilled that and all as well. With Home Depot you pay your money and they use little lockers which means whatever locker you get will probably not be a 12 year certified propane container. The container from them that I got was only good for 4 years. Make sure you check the dates on the container before leaving Home Depot. If you paid for a brand new container there will be only 1 stamped date on the container. If there is an E Date (extended date for 5 years) stamped on the container don't take it. read more

On Saturday 8/31, we bought a water softener from the store in Pahrump, NV. Cost of the item was $399. When we asked about installation, the cost was $634! Are you kidding me! Installation is almost double the cost of the item! We understand it's an outside contractor that performs this. The Home Depot staff were extremely nice and very helpful. So obviously, we're installing ourselves. BUT, what about customers who are living only on a small pension like Social Security or are handicapped? How could Home Depot further assist us? We are not the only ones who have experienced this. We are not talking about buying something off the self like other comments. Anyone who has ever bought granite (flooring, etc.) has been marked up by Home Depot (in any region) or desert eagle stone (Nevada or Colorado) in some way. Especially on sale items. If do not agree to the new price terms and try to cancel it, they charge you for coming to your home and taking the measurements but will not give you the measurements if you try to cancel. This was never mentioned. You are trapped by them. Deceitful practice by both parties. So, then their best workers show up to your home with a phone to communicate with you because they do not speak any english. Who are they? No uniform, no paperwork, no english. no nothing. This was "VERY" disturbing to us. Who did we just let in our home? I trusted Home Depot to be professional and responsible with their customers in mind. This is why we foolishly trusted Home Depot. They were neither professional or responsible. We could have gone to stand alone flooring and granite shop for less money and probably could have got better service than this. Bought Masonite exterior french doors. Doors were great but they don't give you the plastic screw hole plugs that are needed for the finished look. When I went back for them, I was handed a package which had a hole in it and was a couple short of taking care of one door. Then I found you need one package of 16 for each door. When I went back to get the rest, I was handed an open package of 12, the clerk said there should be 16. When I asked what I should do about the ones I'm short, the clerk had no answer just stared at me. No Answer. I went on Amazon, had to buy a bag, $26.85 If buying doors with open screw holes GET the plugs at time of purchase (or it will cost you $26.85 a door) they do not come with the doors. The clerks take them and put them in a desk drawer and they're not all the same, different doors different plugs. Good Luck. read more

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator. I was told I had 48 hours to call and have the refrigerator returned and get a refund. It was delivered and the door didn't completely open. I thought it was the baseboard. The delivery people left. I removed the baseboard and the door would still not open completely. I called the number provided for the return. I was told it was buyers remorse because there was no damage to the refrigerator and Home Depot would not pick the refrigerator up and provide a return even though I said I would buy a different refrigerator. The first employee I saw was Jason who helped me out by trying to find the right size closet pole and he took our name and number so that he could call me when they came in ( which was today ). Not only was everything I needed locked up in a case or behind some type of anti theft system ( that's not my issue) the problem became that I couldn't find anyone to help me. So I decided to not buy the expensive items I needed but just to pick up some other things on my list. To add insult to injury when I got to the checkout, there was no cashier's open. Had a truck reservation, a few days in advance. Easy no problems right, 3 days later go to pick up my truck at 7 am. Slight mist not even raining, this guys like you don't have a reservation anymore. Because the truck they had for me had "bad window wipers". No call no email no anything to tell me hey reservation is canceled. Well now I have seen it all. I went to this store and asked for a military discount which is customarily 10% or close to it on your order. I spent $867.50 before tax of which they gave me ..... $1.80 OFF!!!! When I asked why so little, the cashier said "well we don't discount lumber because it is priced with very low overhead. That would make sense if I hadn't bought plumbing supplies (pex pipe, shark bite fitting, ABS pipe fittings) , cement blocks and lumber hangers and OOPS Paint which was about $2 00.00 of my order. In fact the only discounted item was the OOPS paint (paint mixed the wrong color and already discounted to $9/gal.). Figure that out. Discounting something you already losing money on. Needless to say if your a Veteran, just drive the 30- 40 miles further south to Las Vegas where they honor veterans with a true discount and not one of just over 0.2%. read more

Honestly the best experience I've EVER received at a store. I live in Vegas and about 2-3 minutes away from a Home Depot. So I was pissed when I found out I had to drive to Pahrump to get a gate that was not in stock in Vegas. We arrived and were greeted immediately! Two employee's named Anita and Jerry helped us find the gate and also went out of their way to show us exactly how to install it. Anita gave great advice on solar lights and cameras( definitely buy them Anita). Once we were finished with the gate honestly my heart hurt a little when saying goodbye. It's like I was leave a good friends house. Then we headed to lumber and right away Andre came to help us. He was so knowledgeable and gave so many great tips to my husband. Andrea again went out of his way to show us concrete that worked best for him. When we were finished and ready to check out Sara (I might be wrong about her name, if so I do apologize ) was fantastic! She checked us out. We carried a good conversation and she even gave my kids the valentines projects. At first she only found 1 set but didn't quit looking she continued until I had 3 for my kids. WOW!!!!! I've worked in hospitality for over 13 years and that was by far the best experience I've ever had a store. These employees went above and beyond to help us. Today on June 28th 2021 we was suppose to get 3 bathrooms, plus a laundry room done. Well as of 4:27 pm nothing not even a call from the installers. We clear out all rooms and made many calls to Home Depot asking where are the installers. Excuses ran out, we are not happy they never call us back, they claim they called, but our phone records every phone number and if they did call why didn't they leave a message. We just had our wood flooring done by Home Depot product and they used J.W.Flooring out of Las Vegas Nv. The flooring company used Ignacio and Richard they are a father and son. Both gentlemen were professional in how they performed the installation of the flooring. They were courteous, presented themselves clean and ready to do a full days work. Each day they let me know what had been completed, advised us what was yet to be done. They showed up on time and went right to work. The job that they did on the flooring was fantastic! My husband and I were never inconvenienced while they were in our home. There was myself, Husband and two dogs and we never had any issues. So if you are looking for a company and 2 great guys called Ignacio & Richard to do any kind of flooring please ask for them. Home Depot uses J.W. Wow, I am surprised at some of the negative reviews here. I have gone into the Pahrump Home Depot 50 times and have always been treated well by the employees there. They are always asking, "have you been helped?" The girl in the Garden department is really sweet and I enjoy talking to her. The paint department people mix your paint fast and efficiently. And you can even take your leashed dog in here, which is another plus! read more

No freebies here, just disappointment . I have used the Home Depot for many years and have to say I have never been treated as bad as I was in the Pahrump, NV store . The lack of willingness to help a customer is unbelievable . When I asked if they could bring in a new bunk of lumber from out side as their shelf was empty, they told me they couldn't because it was the night crew's job to fill the shelves. I was in disbelief, This was my third trip for lumber and had spent $$$$ on this project. The guys who work the lumber isles are lazy and have no knowledge at all they should be working elsewhere . How do people get jobs here with no common sense . However, on a much better note, I had finally came across an employee who was willing to help.
