We use this Home Depot quite often based on its proximity to our house. In the time we've owned our house, we've bought multiple appliances, wood flooring, water filters, plants, and probably even more that I have forgotten. It is decently stocked and for the most part the staff is helpful. Sometimes the online inventory can be incorrect, which is incredibly frustrating (see buying flooring). But overall, I like this spot and will continue to come back. read more

We bought 4 doors for our home to be installed. The project was mis-managed from the start with very little communication. It carried on for 4 months as doors were reported in but weren't. Constant mis-information and no management of ownership of the process on Home Depot's side. Truly a big nightmare the whole project and the biggest unorganized mess I've ever seen. read more

Very bad experience. I purchased a vanity with a project time line in mind. They sent a text saying it was on the truck while I was away from the house, a week early. It was a nightmare stopping the early delivery as I had no where to put it. When it was delivered on the agreed upon date it was in the rain in the dark and the driver insisted on leaving it in the driveway until I agreed to give him $20 to put it inside the kitchen door. When the plumber came to install it the hardware for the legs was missing. It took them a week to send the hardware. read more

Recently I've been on a DIY kick doing lots of work in my condo ranging from plumbing to weather stripping and a lot more. Given my political leanings, I tried to work mostly with Lowes. Given that there's usually a Lowes and Home Depot nearby, it's usually a choice about service and preference vs. location. But over time, poor service issues at Lowes Raleigh had me frustrated. I decide to give Home Depot Raleigh a chance and guess what? It's just plain better overall from a service, selection and online experience perspective. While I've done 75% of my DIY shopping at Lowes, the 25% I've done at Home Depot has been better, both in-store and online. So what can you do but tip your hat to HD. They're about a 1/4 mile further north but worth the extra minute of drive time.... read more

Home Depot has something for everyone! We went there as a family on a Saturday for their free monthly kids workshop. My husband found out about it online but there are signs in the door and around the store providing info about it. For the January 2019 class, my daughter built a mini easel which came with all the supplies plus a mini dry erase board. Although we signed her up a few days before her name was not on the list. We were advised to stay however supplies are based on RSVPs. She was handed an apron to wear and given a kit with instructions. At the table were different shades of paint available for kids to share. Parents must stay with their kids for this activity, so while rhey painted I went shopping. Home Depot had a variety of plants on sale and I was ready to by them all! I did have a question about the plants but the employee did not have a clue so good ole google to the rescue. read more

I certainly did not like the way certain Home Depot staff at this store treated me when I tried making an ~$175 purchase as an older female veteran. Not only would Home Depot staff at this store not accept my DD214 (this is the official US government discharge document given to all ex-military personnel and must be provided to obtained any other form of veteran status and which has been accepted at other HD stores I have shopped at), they were also rude and intentionally marginalized me. I have been a Home Depot customer for many, many years and could be for many more years to come - long after these employees are long gone. I am appalled that HD employees would treat any customer in this fashion. I can only speak to this experience and it was a poor representation of HD stewardship and not the way anyone would expect to be treated. I was so distraught by the demeaning treatment and callousness I received, by an employee and the supervisor on shift - both who did not appear interested in trying to assist me or even apologizing for any inconvenience, that I chose not to make my purchase and asked for a refund for my online purchase that I was there picking up - the original reason for my store visit (BTW - I did receive a veteran discount for my online purchase). There were about 6 employees milling around the service desk, most of which seemed to find this situation amusing except for one young gentleman that did apologize to me silently for the treatment I was receiving. In all, HD failed to make an ~ $250 sale. I will admit that the whole experience shocked me and made me distraught. I could not believe that I was being treated in this fashion, I felt violated and marginalized. All of this for what amounted to roughly a $17.50 discount. I will not shop at this store again and may boycott Home Depot all together since most of what I need I can order online elsewhere. There is a Lowes than a mile away and I stopped there on my way home and before shopping asked them if they would accept a government issued DD214 as proof of veteran status and they did and even thanked me for my military service. This was such a drastic difference in personal treatment than my experience at the Hpme Depot store. While I didn't purchase identical items, I did purchase similar items that met my requirements. read more

I had the good fortune to purchase solutions for my DIY 50-Gallon home water heater replacement with the cashier/customer service support of a great Home Depot cashier/employee named "Queen" (Latifa). Her positive attitude and knowledge made solving my problem (which was very stressful) a 5-Star service experience. Since great service in the retail industry is rare today, I am very pleased to leave a POSITIVE review because of this store in general and Queen, in particular Without ANY hesitation, I recommend this location for your next Home Depot purchase. Absolutely terrible customer service. The Home Depot in Fuquay Varina NC said they would deliver my washer and dryer on Friday somewhere between 1:00-5:00 pm and at 8:30 pm said the would not deliver the washer and dryer until Monday the following week. Called to find out why and was lied to five separate times. Three separate people claimed to be managers, one would not give a name, one named Corina, and another named Alex said they would look into the situation and call back. I never received a call back from any of them. Another manager was rude and talked over me. Four managers were of no help, didn't seem to care, and didn't take any responsibility. I just went in to look at some floor tile. Typically, the employees ask if you need assistance and they're everywhere. Today? None close. After five minutes, I asked the friendly lady overseeing the self-checkout area for help. Though she tried many times to get me assistance; I never received ANY. After twenty minutes, I left. My rating is based on my experience with the paint department. I came in on a Thursday evening so there weren't very many customers in the store. There was plenty of parking and I was able to get a spot very close to the front of the store. I needed samples of three paint swatches, and the individual who was there was able to immediately assist me. He also helped me in choosing the proper sheen when I told him where the paint would be - in a bedroom. He was able to quickly make the paint samples for me. I went to the restroom while he worked on them. When it was time to check out, there was a very friendly cashier named Amy there to assist me with self-checkout. I wanted to use my Home Depot credit card, but realized that I did not have it with me. So she assisted me with looking it up using my driver's license and social security number. Everyone here is extremely courteous and I would definitely recommend it. I had a great experience. read more

Home Depot is probably the one spot I've started gravitating to when I'm bored and I want to research a future product. There are so many things in each one of these stores that it opens up a wide variety of options! This review covers multiple visits and is meant to express the satisfaction I have received by being able to find exactly what I'm looking for or advice for an alternative item if the one I want isn't immediately available. The tworeasons that this place doesn't get a five-star rating is because: 1. There are so few 'experts' available to give you a professional opinion or background information on a project or idea you have. Each time I go in the staff is able to give me a name but that person always seems to have left 30 minutes ago. Some visits its almost impossible to find anyone at all after wandering aisle after aisle. This puts me in a mind that I seem to be playing a grown-up version of 'Where's Waldo?'. 2. Another issue of contention is the pricing. A lot of the stuff they offer seems to be pretty high-priced. Granted I'm still a new homeowner but some of the options available price-wise is a bit unsettling. One wired security light is $129? What does it do, emit a beam that rivals the superlaser found on the Death Star? Still can't figure out some of the pricing and the justification. Other than those two items this place to me is still a solid 4 rating. What fills out the 4-star rating is the available 'classes' that you can attend to learn to do some stuff on your own. We ended up getting 3 appliances at a pretty good deal. Ordering and payment was easy. I come here alot for work supplies and a host of other things that need not be listed to save time. but what can i say home depot is the place for most of your home and garden needs, just short of special order items this place is almost always going to have what your looking for. Be it paint, or toilet plungers they have it all at your disposal. just go in and look around abit and don't be shy about asking the staff questions, i found that people's attitudes aren't always what there faces portray. so as for me yea i guess you could say I'm a home depot fan. read more

I have had great experience here. A neighbor bought a chainsaw after the local tornado outbreak and let me borrow it but it wouldn't start because of a faulty coil. This store let me even exchange it without receipt and swap out the bar and chain with the display model. 2 days later the on/off switch broke and they let me swap out the switch with the one On the chainsaw that I had returned days earlier. read more

Literally just walked out because Gary was SO rude. I understand it's frustrating to deal with customers that don't know about your products and policies (in this case, cutting wood). But that's part of working a customer service job. I work in customer service as well and have to smile through plenty of stupid questions every single day. And I wouldn't consider not knowing the store's policy about how small they can cut a piece of wood a stupid question. When you're dealing with a couple who have been nothing but nice and polite to you, you can take the time to briefly explain the policy, "we can't cut smaller than 12 inches in an effort to cut down on wasted wood," instead of passive aggressively saying "I mean I guess I can try it and just waste this piece of wood, but we're not obligated to cater to your project." Thanks but no thanks, Gary. Walked out and went to Lowe's instead. read more

You would think that by using Home Depots installation services you would be able to avoid being scammed. MISTAKE! I had carpet installed on my stairs and they went ahead and charged me for sewing binding "just in case I needed it". I didn't need it and when I took off of work to get the refund SHANNON drug her feet and needed to contact the contractor to double check the job and after a really long wait promised to call and leave me a message and refund the money. None of which she did. Tried a couple of times to get her on the phone, waited forever, no answer. Went again after work but nobody but SHANNON can do it. SHANNON must know that if you drag it out long enough people will just give up. DO NOT USE HOME DEPOT'S INSTALLATION SERVICES, THEY ARE AS CROOKED AS ALL THE REST! read more

I've been here several times and I'm never greeted when I enter because there is no one around which is fine. I walk the aisles and I spend way too long finding what I want because there is no one around to ask for assistance. When I have asked for help I was usually met with no knowledge of what I was looking for or an attitude. The store is clean and typical Home Depot. This location does have a lot of cashiers which most times are leaning at registers hydrating themselves or chit chatting with one another while customers use the self service registers. read more

I just left the Home Depot Store in Raleigh NC where we received the lowest possible customer service of being ignored and our situation not being addressed. We walked in to take a look at front doors and garage doors for our home which I had previously paid for a measurement. This was going to be my wife first time looking at the different designs available along with my children. Upon walking up to the department there were 2 male workers who were sitting at the computer which seem to be looking up orders. I walked up to the front desk 2 feet in front of them where they were talking and sitting at the computer and waited for them to finish what they were doing. I mentioned to my wife and kids to look around to see what they liked and we will address it with them once they finished. After waiting for about 1-2 minutes another female co-worker walked up with a french door and called the gentlemen to stock the item from a return. The gentle men stood up and walk away with a cart and never acknowledge our presence at all. I had to shout out to one of them who was walking away to ask "if anyone was working in the department that could help". His response was "he just left" then my wife asked "why did you all not want to help us" and his response was" oh, I didn't know that you needed help". Call me old fashion but I thought with retail stores that if you are an employee and a customer walks up in the area is standing by regardless if it is your department or not you greet the individual and ask how you can assist. That is clearly not the situation for this Home Depot store. We immediately went to the front of the store to report the issue to the store manager who was not available. We spoke to a manager by the name of "KAYE" as written on her apron. We also spotted the female worker who was doing the returns by the name of "CHERYL" who was said suddenly left for the evening by Kaye and could not call this individual or get her to identify the male employees who was not willing to assist.. Kaye was not very helpful in the situation and was not willing to reach out to find out who the individuals were at the time and her response was that she would take care of it tomorrow and I should call back. How could she take care of a situation that she did not address at that time, I have no clue. I mentioned if she could check the camera's for that area in the Loss Prevention to help identify. Her response was they did not have any loss prevention staff on site. So my wife suggested that did not make any sense and anyone could walk in and steal items from the store and no one is on site. Kaye wanted to pull up my information in the system to see if I already had measurements in the system. When I gave her my information she could not locate anything on me except for my name, phone number and street address. I paid this home depot store money to perform a measurement and you all took my money and you do not have me in your system. The sale person "ABBY" at the time stated that once I pay for the measurements and they are completed that it would be in the system until I was ready to install. Clearly this is not the case for this store and seems to have some issues with management, organization and how to treat customers. I would like to know what happened to my money as well? This has also been submitted to Corporate and BBB, next Attorney General and FTC then Social Media. No wonder this store is hidden away on Capital Boulevard, it should be shut down if this is the way you treat customers. And I guess I am not the only one looking at some previous reviews....so sad. read more

Awful lumber customer service. This morning The girls at the front were super sweet in helping us find someone in lumber. So once we FINALLY get help this African American man yelled at us and said "well did you want help or not?" We asked if they could cut our dimensions for our wedding signs. He said they don't cut anything smaller than 12X12. We were going to drop $300 just on wood so I'm sure making a few cuts smaller than 12 inches would have been fine. Then this Asian guy who was supposed to help us was beyond rude and ignored us when we were asking questions. We ended up figuring out our dimensions on our own, found they type of wood we needed on our own and just left. We were going to spend a lot of money and next week buy hundreds of dollars worth of paint for our house but now I will never go back because of those two guys. You ruined it for the whole Home Depot store guys. Ps. I was wearing a Trump shirt this morning so I'm sure that had something to do with the total disrespect we were given. read more

We had windows replaced by Home Depot's independent contractor, Nate and he was awesome. His team arrived exactly on time and did wonderful work. One of the window frames was cracked from shipping and before I even noticed, Nate had called in to get a replacement. They installed the broken window so we wouldn't have a gaping hole and worked wonderfully around my schedule to return to replace it. They were fabulous! read more
