If you are a wife like me, than you are the one who is making the call to the local tradesman for home repairs. My husband works ridiculously long hours, and yet we still need minor home repairs. When I contacted John the first thing I noticed is that he is incredibly good with communication and professional. He has a website to make an appointment which made it super convenient because you can plan accordingly for his visit with an estimate. I will tell you that he will be straight forward with what you need, what he recommends and he will not push anything extra or costly. When I tell you I asked tons of questions to better understand the state of my shower and what can be done to revamp the tile, John explained so patiently to me how grout works, with time wear and tear and things preventative that can be done. He even went to the tile shop and inquired about anything additional and gave me the best solution. His work is honest and good. We are so incredibly happy with both our kitchen sink and bathroom. For the kitchen he noticed the counter wasn't on right and pulling from the wall so he took the counter out, reinforced it back on, caulked it and installed the new sink. For the bathroom, new shower doors, caulk tub and toilet and he even caulked our sink, installed new knobs and as a courtesy removed my towel bar so I can paint later. He's super knowledgeable, super friendly and for a bonus a huge dog lover. I highly recommend him for your home repair needs and I assure you that we will be using him again for our home. I highly recommend contacting John the Home Tradesman for any of your home repair or improvement needs. We called him for an electrical issue we had in our basement and he was very thorough and knowledgeable over the phone. He took the time to discuss possible issues and gave us an estimated quote that was very reasonable. Upon arriving and diagnosing the problem, it turned out he was right in the money with what he said over the phone as to what the issue was. John was very honest and professional. He billed us for the work completed which was less than what he quoted over the phone. Also, while John was at our house he discussed other possible projects we were interested in for a later date and gave us some estimates. I'm unsure about these other negative reviews on this forum but I had a great experience working with John. John is very responsive on text, knowledgeable, and nice. I had John install 2 storm doors, new door trim, and repair a small tile leak at my house. He did a fantastic job. He provides pictures, frequent updates, and also points out issues that I wasn't aware of. He also picked up the material I ordered for the renovations at my local hardware store. I needed someone with electrical experience to rewire my sofa recliner. I called John and found him to be immediately helpful, straightforward and willing to get going on the job within 24 hours of my call. I could tell by talking with him that he knew how to fix the problem and that he was trustworthy. He was over the next day, went to Home Depot to get the parts, and the sofa was repaired within the time frame he estimated.
