Parking is difficult since there are not many parking spots available. Nearby businesses have posted Towing warnings if you park in their spots. Because the shop is small, they sometimes stop taking donations. I made a special trip this morning to drop off donations. Unfortunately they weren't taking any clothing but I could drop off other items. I prefer to donate to Hope Chest because they help local people in need, but Goodwill will get my nice, brand name clothing items from now on. Hope Chest needs a larger store with more parking. And as for food donations for their food pantry, they make donors drive to a second location for drop off. For the convenience of donors, can't they accept food items and have a volunteer deliver them to their secondary food pantry location every few days rather than inconveniencing donors? Too many inconveniences to donate clothing or food there, and parking is too difficult to shop there. They do have two dressing rooms to try items on, which is nice, provided that you can find a parking spot to shop there. read more

I donated clothes here today and went thrift store shopping. I would rather donate my items here rather than the Goodwill since this is a non-profit that prevents homelessness. They also offer a food pantry. The clothes in the thrift store were priced low and had current brands. I will be shopping here again. I have donated furniture here too in the past. The place is large inside and has a large selection of jewelry. It also has paintings, glasses, random kitchen items, books, clothing, and much more. We bought several glass items for $4 a piece and are really happy with them. The staff was helpful and had knowledge of the inventory, which must be tough in a place like this! While I'm sad it's not the Argentinian restaurant anymore (where I met my other half), at least the place still exists for us to visit :) read more

I've been here a few times and I have always had great finds. They keep a pretty steady flow of items coming in and out, so you can really visit often and hope to find something good on the next trip. The clothing racks are not too tight and well organized by size. My daughter has found some hi-end clothing brands here and gets super excited about it. The prices are generally less expensive than other chain thrift stores. But the best part of this place is knowing that your purchases help the local community! read more

Tip - Saturdays they offer $1 clothing. The HOPE Chest is one is the closest thrift stores where I live and one of the best. Thrifting is my new hobby so lately Joshua P. and I have been stopping at the Hope Chest every other weekend to see what goodies we can find. One person's trash is another's treasure. My hubby lost weight with his cancer treatment and needed some work shirts that weren't huge on him until he can put his weight back on. This $1 sale really helped us big time. I really love this thrift store! Everyone is very nice and helpful, if they think they have a new arrival that you may like, they'll take you to see it. + They have days where you can get 50% off. 50%! that's a lot! Tuesday's College day. They also do this discount for military and senior citizens on other days. +Tons of kids clothes and toys +Tons of gently used mattresses, only 50 bucks for boxspring and mattress, great deal for a guest room that's barely ever used. We stood in line for an hour and a half this morning to get into the store. The guy "guarding" the door didn't talk to anyone for most of that time at all. No explanations etc but he asked people leaving if they wanted to go back in again. Wasn't making sure people could even get in or knew they could for the fist however long. There really needs to be a time limit on the 15 people they are allowing inside at a time. Too long to wait and too hot. Checkout was frustrating. Two places and one person who walked away to look for a bag for the person to buy and leaving line backed up. Then a second person began checking out. She kind of did something similar. If you have people leaving cause the wait is too long and waiting 1.5 hours in the heat, this should not happen. I won't go back read more

Cute little thrift store. If you are looking for dishes or pots and pans, kitchenware and that sort of thing, this place is great. You'll find full sets for under $20 and glassware galore. The clothing wasn't anything to look at, but extremely cheap. If you need kids stuff, they do have clothes and back packs and such. You will need to leave yourself enough time to dig if you're interested in books, CDs, or knick-knacks, but you never know what you might find. While I didn't find anything for me, I did see several people bartering over a dining table, so I believe prices are somewhat negotiable. read more

My friend found a backpack for me, and an employee told him they had to "wash the backpack" before they sold it, and told us to come back Monday the following week to pick it up. I came in excited on Monday to pick up a vintage backpack and was told they don't have a washing machine so they don't know why an employee told my friend that they would wash it. That's not my fault that an employee gave us false information. Nevertheless, they didn't let him buy the backpack the day he came in. Why would an employee refuse a sale and then lie to us telling us to come back the next week?? When I asked about the backpack they looked at me like I was crazy and that they never said anything about washing products. We didn't make it up lol he would have bought it the day he came in if that was the case - but they didn't let him. The other employees did not care that their employee gave false information and didn't offer to help in any way, just kept telling me "yeah we wouldn't have said that because we don't have a washer" ok so then why did your employee lie? Then they asked who the employee was, as if we were supposed to memorize her name. They didn't offer me store credit, they didn't help at all even though I drove 25 min to the store for absolutely no reason. I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

This store really does try to do a lot for its community. A portion of their sales goes to families in need. Nancy is really sweet with the customers and will help you find what you need in particular. The store has relatively nice things considering its a thrift store.
