It seems to have more men's items but too me not a good variety. Some things were over priced for t shirts like $9-12... I can go get a disney tee at the Ross or outlet brand new for the same price. Funks is a unique concept on thrifting items. The store is well organized and I love the option of digging in bins for quirky vintage clothing. I have wanted to stop at Funks every time I drive by and there is quite the buzz about this place. If I were to categorize this store I would have 3 categories - clothing, used games and vintage kitsch. When you walk in they have a very inviting couch and seating area. Near the front are racks and displays of featured items and a display case/checkout area. The store features a lot of vintage t-shirts, sports jerseys and funky hipster clothing. There is a tag color chart which indicates the price of the item. Management knows their merchandise value and items in the front room of the store have been priced at the going used retail prices. The back room has the bulk clothing bins, used gaming items and vintage electronics and some collectibles. I dug through the bins and found some nice items but only one that I liked in my size. I was afraid there was a minimum of a pound charge but instead my item was placed on a scale and I paid the weight divided by $7 a pound. I found a short sleeve top I liked and paid $2.75. So the bulk bins are a bargain if you can find something you like. The service was friendly and efficient. They accept cards and digital payments. I particularly was drawn to the vinyl albums and they looked like quality in their plastic sleeves to protect the covers. I did not check the condition of the vinyl but if you are looking to add to your collection this might be an option. read more

This is such a fun spot to visit! I love all the 70s, 80s and 90s decor around the shop. It's also clean and not crazy like other bin shops I've been too. The first part of the shop has bins with pricing from $6-$20, not entirely sure the difference between these bins and the by the pound bins are, but it is $7 by the pound. While I do appreciate that they do have some clothes on racks, I'm not much of a bin person. I don't like having to dig for clothes. However, I did find some cute things - I found a super Mario shirt I was excited about but that one was in the $9 bin instead of by the pound. When I went to check the by the pound bins, I did find two cute shirts and one pair of brand new jeans(it still had tags on it). The only thing is that for 1 pair of jeans and 2 shirts, I was already over the one pound...not complaining though since I did find nice things. However, this is great for anyone who doesnt mind searching bins. This wasn't for me though and also it was hard to find parking. read more

Really enjoyed digging through the bins here at funks! I like that they have priced bins, things hanging up as well as sold by the weight items in the back. Ended up getting 4 really nice quality things for only $22. Great picing and I appreciate the quality of the items too. I got a great silk top with antique brass buttons on it that was a unique find! The only thing is the parking lot is a bit rough, but its an awesome place for thrifting so get to it! read more

I love checking out Funk's Vintage any time I'm in town! The variety of clothes and the range of styles is one the reasons I always check it out! Not to mention the consistent change in inventory and how easily marked all the different sizes and prices are! I highly recommend checking out the back room because everything is pay by the pound! It can be hit and miss on the clothes, but it's always fun finding some great pieces & getting for such a small price! I also love that when you walk in you are automatically greeted and checked on with when shopping! There is nothing worse then having questions and needing assistance and no one is around to help you! One thing I'd love to see more of is a range of jewelry and shoes! New vintage clothing shop in the downtown/milk district area! They have a huge selection of clothing ranging from $7 per pound to $40+ on the rack. They give bins indoors that you can pick from to buy by the item. If chaos and a free-for-all shopping style is more your thing, they have piles of clothing in the back. The piles are $7 per pound of clothing. They have a deal this week that you can buy by the item for the piles in the back for their grand opening. The cashier was very thorough with explaining the piles. They just opened Friday. I love the concept, but my OCD made me want to organize everything! read more

Oh man, super disappointed with Funks Vintage. Visited today under the notion that this was thifting and reading that you can pay by the pound ($7/lb) I thought this would be great. I arrived and was immediately overwhelmed by the loud music playing. Shrugged it off and started to look at the racks... I thought I missed something because the first t-shirt I grabbed was $40. I thought this was a thrift shop! As I continued to browse another tee was marked $90. I felt bamboozled. After walking around I saw a small sign saying that the $7/lb clothing was in the back. Yeah in like large crates that weren't sorted and not the best looking pieces (lots and lots of stains and some icky questionable spots). At that point I was completely put off and decided to leave. Not sure why they advertise clothes by the pound when that's only a small part of the store. read more

What a unique vintage shop!! The vibes were incredible. I loved how it felt like it lived up to this name of funks vintage. I met the kindest men ever who worked there. They welcomed every single person into the building and in the back in the "by the pound" section. I found it really unique there's a main store and a "by the pound" option in the back. You can rack up some awesome scores at a great price in the by the pound section if you took the time to dig. There was a variety of options at this shop, but I think the most important thing to remember is that this is NOT a thrift shop. The pieces are priced highly. If you're a collector or you love vintage, you will adore this place. But if you're coming here and looking for a goodwill priced item, I would reevaluate your standards before going. read more

not really a vintage shop. more like vintage reseller, and we all know how they are. the " pay by the pound bins" don't have anything good. Bins are gone through already buy the shop and they markup whatever they think has value. Honestly if a person buys anything from there, they just want to say they bought something "vintage", but they played the mark up for the title for a piece probably not worth it. They are giving people stickers and discounts for their yelp and Orlando reviews which is completely unethical. read more

Prices are not affordable. The store looks good, but that's about it. All the bins that are per pound have horrible clothes. I went there to try to get my mother a gift for Christmas cause I'm broke and they charged me 14 dollars for a used sweater I got from a bin. Visited Funks this past weekend and very much went in with an open mind, hence the 3 star review which usually I never like being this person but nonetheless Funks is well.. mediocre to nothing in terms of vintage finds. I primarily shopped in the "Vintage by the pound" which is basically a dumpster pile of very much used, stained, and evidently to my surprise damaged clothes (a cute romper I purchased as part of my "pound" is ripping at the seams) please see photos. All of this in a space that has no A/C so with the Florida heat expect this experience to be sweaty and exhausting. I know Vintage is all the talk now but as someone who primarily buys second hand I've found better clothes at Goodwill. It's obvious after my very clearly damaged romper set.. they are getting items from homes of people who are just tossing and getting rid of clothes which to that I'd like to add that if the whole Rad/Grunge style is your look then perhaps Funks is a place for you because they don't have much aside from old band tees, and shirts from all kinds of retailers which feels far from vintage but instead just thrifted. When I made my way inside the shop that thankfully had A/C.. a lot of the items in my humble opinion were not worth their listed price, I found clothes that sure may be as old as me but to list them at $30 a piece defeats the purpose of second hand shopping.. I think the biggest turn off was finding a retro color blocked 2 piece with Daffy Duck on the front of the shirt with the original price tag from Walmart showing its retail price of $14.97; Funks price was $100 for this set which was just a cropped tee, and I'd imagine shorts? I didn't even find the second half of this 2 piece on display. Anyone that knows Walmart clothing knows that it is nothing short of cheap and material that old (the price tag looked coffee stained from how old it is) will rip apart in a standard washer.. so I left Funks with a total of 7 or so shirts valued at $19.21. I'd like to warn those who choose to shop per pound to watch carefully as they intentionally bunch up your clothes to then toss it in a bin to be weighed surely cotton doesn't weigh that much.. but I can see how that tactic very quickly racks up a price to what at first seems like a "good deal". I know I seem like such Debby downer but Orlando already has very limited thrift/vintage finds that are affordable.. it just seems because it's all the rave now people are more focused on what they can profit rather than the experience and excitement of finding good quality vintage items! If you plan to visit, I'd say a first time experience is worth it but Funks will not be my go to spot in the future. read more

The staff is friendly, the store is clean, the service is amazing, the selection is updated daily, and the prices are actually INSANE. Hands down the best thrift / vintage store in Orlando!!!
