The clothing ranges anywhere from $20 to much higher. There are also some popular beachy t-shirt brands. This time of year, there's also a nice selection of Christmas ornaments. One thing that's a bit annoying is the hovering staff. There are signs posted all over warning you not to steal, and the staff is constantly watching you. When I was there a few weeks ago, there were 3 staff members in the tiny shop standing right over your shoulder like you'd done something wrong. I am not sure if there's been a rash of decor burglaries in Matagorda, but I feel like the signage and surveillance by employees is a bit much.

I was a little skeptical due to the location, but we decided to give it a try because of the dedicated signage. This helped ease my fear about this not being a legit business. Anyway, we walked in and were so surprised at the vast collection of vintage coral. We love nautical decor, and especially vintage coral. She had various brown coral pieces, antler, red and blue coral. Some pieces were even discolored from scuba divers. The coral pieces also varied in both size and price. True vintage coral is pricey, and these prices were pretty much on par. You can search etsy to get a good idea as well as to what you are paying. She also had other items such as sea shells, flags, and nautical signs. The owner was very sweet and talkative, and very informative. She has a passion for what she does, and her mother is pretty much a shell/coral encyclopedia. We got such a personal, local, and friendly feel when shopping here, that we will absolutely be coming back. I loved how she made us feel as though we were from her little beach town, and shared with us whatever she wanted at that moment. We could tell just from our first meeting, the owner has never met a stranger. My husband and I can pilfer and go back forth for hours together in these places, and she let us! Thank you for having such a wonderful shop, and we look forward to coming back very soon!!

If you're a local artisan, this is a great place to feature your artwork. Most of these consignment booths are just 4 feet wide with a pegboard wall. Prices range from $120-$220 a month which is quite reasonable. And due to these reasonable prices, they may not have any space. I found the cutest swimsuit top and it was somewhere around $70! I did give in and bought some Reef cushiony flip flops (and my mom bought a pricey pair as well). They were $40 which is what you would expect to pay for Reef...three hours into wearing the shoes, the cushion part started ripping and after 2 days it looks like I've had these beat up flippies for years! Technically I can't be mad at the store, but rather should be more mad at Reef. It is really, really frustrating though. Overall, though, they have a wide variety of (expensive) clothes, stuff for guys, girls, kids, home decor, lots of shoes, knick-knacks, jewelry and more. Also, the salesgirl shamelessly plugged Charlotte Plummes as a great place to get lunch at. Apparently the two places are affiliated/owned by the same people. It turned out alright, though, because we did have a great lunch there...but something doesn't sit right with me when one pair of flip flops costs the same as lunch (which included 2 alcoholic drinks)
