I absolutely love this place…read more From the start I knew this was place of community, support and strength. My first class instantly had me hooked. My intro special ends on Friday and I'm so sad. I don't think I can afford to consistently take classes there but my time there so far has been wonderful. The teachers push you to do your best and are always there to support and catch you. My only complaint is that some classes are too full. Class has started sometimes and people are still coming in. I wish they would stick to their policy of no late walk ins. People who have taken the time to get there should be in the class. I don't like the feeling of being squished into a room at all and especially not by late comers. Other than that, doing yoga at lumi has been amazing!

When I'm in London, the yoga always feels a little weird, not satisfying. I've shopped a lot of studio in LDN, and Heartcore in Notting Hill has been my favorite so far! It's absolutely adorable, well kept and well staffed. Front desk was incredibly welcoming and warm, and I loved Sarah's class! One of the best flows I've taken in awhile, even in LA. Very unique flow and I felt wonderful afterwards. Save yourself the run around and take class here!

Ever since I left Canada, I've missed studio yoga. I do gym yoga for various reasons and it is just…read morenot the same, there's no real challenge, no focus and half the time you are distracted by the kick-boxing class next door. But Blue Cow Yoga is a deliciously proper studio. Right in the middle of the city, it's in a fantastic location. Spacious and very North American. You take your shoes off when you enter, help yourself to free tea or water and pad round to the changing rooms, where they have all amenities including hair straighteners. This I like! Also the abundance of lockers to keep your valuables safe are really appreciated. It's a very chill environment, they get the importance of focus and a peaceful vibe. I came for an inversion workshop and was delighted with the teacher and the experience. Mollie, the teacher, was super patient and explained everything very clearly. While she made it look elegant and easy herself, she took the time with all the beginners to make them feel comfortable. The room was very spacious with lots of white wall space to practice against, and plenty of maps, bolsters and blocks. I am definitely planning on coming back for their free yoga week for newcomers and I'd love to try a treatment too, once I recover from this inversion workout!

TREATMENTS. Sorry…read moreto shout. But, seriously...the treatments. I have not been for yoga yet (but I will!) --- and had signed up for updates via their newsletter. As luck would have it last week I received an email from them about 25 quid Bespoke Treatments. Answer to my prayers, little BCY -- answer to my prayers. After being slammed and shoved into planes, delayed in airports, working from bed and overall stress levels escalating, I needed a massage. A good, deep massage. And this is what I got. Which will have hooked me forever, so this marketing campaign to get folks into the studio worked. I'll be a faithful follower of Zoe, who whipped my knotted back and shoulders into shape. Really, very talented. Will be back for the yoga and the massage and the acupuncture -- and whatever else really? Really! It's a beautiful lower level space that feels tranquil and serene amidst the craziness of the City. It's clean, large, spacious, and the staff is friendly without being intrusive. Will return and update about the yoga -- but for now, I can say that I'm feeling mighty fine and relaxed due to that bespoke beatdown. Ahhhhhh.

I found the Life Centre and was able to catch a yoga and meditation class with Zephyr. I was so in love with the 90 minutes that I spent there. I was offered everything that I needed. Zephyr taught with such extensive knowledge and was able to share so much of her own experiences. The meditation portion was absolutely wonderful. The studio space was pretty good. I took class in the studio located on the main floor which was an all white room. There were mats available for use along with straps, bolsters, and blocks. The locker space was small but they did offer locked lockers to use which is a huge plus. I am definitely looking forward to my next time in London so I can go try another class. There are 60 classes a week held here offering many different types of disciplines.They rang from Astanga,Iyurvedic,Self-Pratice and hard or gentle yoga. The Life-Centre has a huge following and other than classes they also hold talks and teacher training programmes to anyone who would like to teach the disciplines or open up their own school. This is where I conquered my fear of Spinning…read more I finally did it. Took the plunge. Jumped on the seat. Spinned my a*s off. The Friday lunch class with Cris is a great intro. As its a shorter class, you won't be wanting to die for quite so long. (kidding). He's super high energy, and plays great music (Whitney!) that made everything feel not so terrible. A few things I had to learn: *you do not need special shoes. Athletic shoes are fine. *have the instructor help you adjust your bike if you are new. *bring some water. *bring a towel. *don't freak out, push yourself. I did this as part of the 30 day new client special (includes both GV studios, 30 days for 30 quid!) -- and did two spinning classes. Really great way to burn calories quickly, in a fun way and super high intensity. The class fitness was mixed so it never felt like a bunch of hardbodies (though there were some of those too!). This studio also has the Power Plates classes. It is housed in a basement, and is a bit more dated feeling than the Covent Garden studio. All of the lockers are out in the open (which is great) and the reception staff were always kind and friendly. Very close to Goodge Street Station. If you are freaked about spinning -- try this! The intro offer is stellar and you can try it for a fraction of the cost to see if you like it, and the studio is convenient for you. Unfortunately for me it's just a bit too far from work or home to make it a permanent part of the workout, but I have Good Vibes to thank for getting me out of my 10 year Spinning aversion!

Ironically I seldom go to the yoga classes here, only because I love spin, pilates, and power plates so much more! The instructors are awesome, the classes are challenging, and you always leave feeling a little bit better than when you came in. Oh and there's also a student discount for memberships which is awesome for poor student folk like me.

There are two toilets, a few showers and a changing area with hairdryers. There is a charge to use towels but lockers are in the hall are free. I like the small waiting area as the tables come in handy before class. Their shakes are made fresh daily and delicious. Good selection of snacks and smoothies along with workout clothes. Now you can rent a kit if you forgot yours at home, no excuse to skip your workout! There are other locations so if this isn't convenient it's worth checking out. I will be back to sweat!

I went for the reformer pilates and it was just so easy to check in at the desk. Locker wise, you input your own code and wella, it's locked. No need to look for change - thank god, as I'm always have the wrong kinda coin and ah usually it's just such a hassle, so major thumbs up for this! Changing room wise, it does get quite congested around class time, especially as they have a few studios. I definitely have to squash to use the hairdressers and bench space. I guess that's what you get when a place is the new PLACE!! Shower wise you get products to use, which is great if you're forgetful like me. The only downside with the showers was I struggled to get hot water, but I didn't hear anyone else having a problem, so I guess I just need to figure them out... The studios are a good size and I can only speak for the Pilates equipment, but the reformer machines were top quality and no budget was spared. Cafe wise, they do a wide range of healthy juices and smoothies, which is a good touch! I got a super healthy green juice, which I loved! It wasn't cheap at £4.50, but it's the perfect tonic after a hard workout. Classes aren't cheap, so if you're looking for a budget option, this isn't the place. However, if you have cash to spend and fancy trying to some different styles of class, such as barre, a Bieber dance workshop, boxfit and many more, then this is the place!

Problems: it shares the space with other businesses. Juice bar is loud. Some weight center shows lots of body-shaming images. Androulas 45 minute vinyasa class was a nightmare. Fast, loud, strict, with almost no conversation about breathing, and no time to focus on form and posture because she was yelling "come on!" to the people who were being slow, and occasionally spanking people's butts. Restorative was fine, left me feeling better but 45 minutes in general feels short, and there is no time between classes to set up in the studios so you really have 40 minutes once everyone has come in. I was disappointed.

It isn't as hippied out as some places - shoes can stay on past reception - but it is clean and has excellent and convenient facilities. Many massage and physical therapists have hours here and there is a dedicated wing for therapy treatments that looks lush. I almost caved on the £15 neck/shoulder massage yesterday. The changing rooms are individual cubicles. There is the downside of them not having lockers, but nobody will yell if there's something you need to bring into the studio with you during class. Bathrooms are pristinely clean and lovely. The smaller studio has no mirrors, but I kind of dig this. There is a fantastic range of teachers and classes (including pilates and pregnancy yoga) and the studio seems to get less traffic than some of the others in the area. I'm guessing prices play into that. Mats and belts, bricks, boulsters, etc. are all provided. If you work nearby, I'd highly recommend dropping in.
