Dis have 2 toddlers and even though its not very kid proof...they loved sleeping in the soft carpet floor and the wifi to keep them entertained when we were there. Very beautiful building inside and out. Definitely recommend anyone going through. No haunted feeling just an old beautiful historic building. Shower was AMAZING! The people running it was so freaking nice! They truly made us feel at home there! They had mini fridges and microwave in the hallway which helped on keeping water but the refrigeration part wasnt keeping anything cold which was a down side but okay because it was just water we kept in there.

All hotels in Midland/Odessa area were asking close to $400 per night! Not here! It was closer to $100 & we've never gotten such a lovely welcome!! Prompt friendly check in, complete with lemonade & cookies. We inadvertently showed up on a Wednesday which meant dinner included! Margarita hosted all guests (5-8 pm) at the managers reception with her home cooked chicken tortilla casserole & a piping hot pot of delicious rice!!! And beer or wine included! Ooookaaayy! :) Then to our clean, quiet & spacious room. The extra space & fast internet was much appreciated. We slept great on the comfy beds & woke up to a FULL breakfast (included). These folks really try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. And it was a blessing to experience. We'll always stay here when traveling through west Texas.

We reserved 2 rooms to stay for a family funeral but upon getting to the hotel, we discovered the rooms we on different floors. Without having to ask, the employee gave us a free upgrade to a suite in one of the rooms so we could be on the same floor. The room itself was pretty clean and the bed was very comfy. The shower was a little dirty, but all the design was very new and nice! Housekeeping was quick to refill our toiletry items and towels on the second day of our visit, which was great. I hate having to call for refills! The breakfast had a lot of options but all the hot options were pretty bland. Overall, I would definitely choose this hotel to stay at again!

Told her I'm not paying for a room I cant shower in. Ridiculous. I won't get in to the left overs from god know when in the fridge or the random hair that was all over my shower wall when I checked in but you get the picture. This place is the worst.

I was a little hesitant about our stay but was really blown away by the customer service. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in was awesome. He called to make sure we were still coming as it was almost 7 and we had not checked in. He also called the room after check in to ask if the room was satisfactory. Five stars for the service. We were on the first floor. We could hear everything that was going on in the hall, including the calls the front desk received. We could also hear the people upstairs walking but it wasn't terrible. We were able to fall asleep without any issues. I did hear one call where someone was asking about something they left...they found the person's ring. That's always great when you leave things behind and the hotel actually gets it back to you.

The hot tub was broken and gross dirty. Key card deactivated four times during our stay. They should just take away the hot breakfast. It's not even edible. And the holiday inn express in Lubbock is no better. Will never waste my money on this hotel chain again.
