Really just an all around terrible job of grooming our family Doodle, Lucy…read more She was not clean, Ears Dirty, Nails not clipped, Uneven all over and totally skinned in other areas...They offered to redo her to "make it right"...ummmm no way...Really wanted to like this place, as it's convenient to my daughter's work... On the left is Lucy the day she was groomed by Mother Puppers, on the right is Lucy after having her redone by the groomer we use to use, who, by the way had almost nothing to work with... Sorry Mother Puppers... But seriously, you need a new groomer...Lucy had not a single mat! There is really no excuse for such shoddy work...She wasn't even bathed.

I honestly hesitated to write this review, especially after seeing so much positive feedback from…read moreothers which is why I waited almost a month to share my experience. I boarded my dog here for five days and called to check on him multiple times (3-4 times). Each time, I was told he was doing well aside from a small bout of diarrhea one day. However, when I picked him up, there were several concerning issues that I believe should have been communicated to me earlier. His elbows and knees were rubbed raw almost like road rash. Even a week or two later, the scabs were still healing. I'm not sure what could have caused this other than being kept on concrete, which I specifically asked about. I was told that beds would be provided. (photo included was taken a week and a half after return) More concerning, when I brought him home, he had blood coming from his mouth enough that it got on my arm when I touched him. Again, nothing about this was ever mentioned in any of the calls or while I talked to her when I picked him up. While there are things I liked about this facility--the website is well done, I appreciated the photo they sent during his stay, and I like that the dogs are kept separate for safety I believe there needs to be more attention to the animals' well-being and more transparency when issues arise. The pricing is affordable, which I can understand being a draw for many people, but unfortunately, based on my experience, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this place to a friend.

    Bear Paw Veterinary Service

Bear Paw Vet is honestly one of the kindest and most compassionate vet offices I have ever…read moreexperienced. We have had three cats, one of whom has severe health issues, and every veterinarian and tech at this office has shown a level of care that goes far beyond what you would normally expect. Over the years we have gone there, I have seen them work on weekends, holidays, and even on days the office is closed simply because of how much they care about the animals they help. They have always taken their time with every appointment, no matter how busy they are, and they treat every animal as if it were their own. I know that even when I call with a minor concern, I will be listened to and given thoughtful answers. My baby boy Luna recently passed away during surgery at Bear Paw Vet, and while I am absolutely devastated, it has made things a little easier knowing they did everything they possibly could to save him. Even afterward, they sat with me, comforted me, and showed a level of compassion I have never experienced at any other vet office. They came in on a weekend while they were closed, talked through every concern with me, and even offered to help set up a payment plan if needed so Luna could get the surgery. Sadly, he was too far gone, and there was nothing more their team could do to save him. After he passed, they let us come in to say our goodbyes, comforted both me and my family, and even allowed us to bring his bonded kitty companion so she could understand what happened. They also helped arrange his cremation and sent his remains home to us in a beautiful box covered in paw prints, inside a lovely bag, along with a small patch of his fur, a clay paw print, and even a printed and framed paw print. Today, I also received a card letting me know that Bear Paw Vet had donated to have a tree planted in my kitty's honor. I am truly amazed by Bear Paw Vet. Every single person there from the veterinarians to the receptionists to the nurses and techs is genuinely a incredible and kind person. I will never trust anyone else with the care of my pets, because I truly do not believe any other office could measure up to them.

this is where you take your animals to die. don't go there. on two separate occasions I took in…read moretwo different dogs that were dying, the first dog McCann listened to his heart for 10 seconds and said that he couldn't help me there. since they don't refer to anyone, he couldn't get us in with a cardiologist the dog needed. we had to go to Great Falls, pay an emergency fee at another vet, that did refer and got us in right away. the other occasion I took a dying dog (it was hit by a pick up) into bear paw they wouldn't see the dog with a $500 retainer and then after that they left the dog in a room to die bc they are too busy doing "surgeries". it's weird how many times my sister has taken her dog there and they keep doing the same surgery why hasn't it worked hmmm weird. will never go there again. they also pick up strays and only keep them for 3 days bc they get paid more to kill the dog than find its owner. terrible place with terrible people.
