This review is long overdue (a 2020 close). Kristina led the initial groundwork with my wife & daughter showing them various listings in the designated area of interest. Worked well for me, as i then got to tour the abridged list of homes that made the cut - and it was straight forward to make a decision on the home that was perfect for us. Step 1 was completed flawlessly - time for an offer. Context, this home was 'ideal' for our situation and my wife wanted us to close on it and 'not let it get away', so the pressure was on. After a couple of discussions with Kristina, we arrived at the base terms, and Kristina nudged me a bit lower than my comfortable low-end offer and clearly explained the rational. Offer in and with a simple, minor counter - we went into escrow. Step 2 completed at a price point better than expected. Escrow always throws a few items to navigate - and this one was no exception. Standard set of issues uncovered in the inspections and somewhat surprisingly, the appraisal came in a bit below the offer point. The latter was not an issue from a loan perspective given our down, but once again with the two reports in-hand, Kristina guided us lower than my range - with the combo of the two items being a meaningful reduction in the final purchase price. We trusted Kristina and sure enough the seller accepted the offer to remove the contingencies and move forward to close of escrow. Wow, very nice - step 3 behind us, time to close. In the last step, Kristina showed her patience, this time with me, as it seemed that our mortgage broker had never dealt with a self-employed borrower before. They made the final days of escrow interesting with their never-ending list of document requests and explanation details - but Kristina kept me self-destructing and kept the pressure on the broker to close the loan. Mission accomplished and the house is ours. Since this review is tardy, the house is everything and more that we thought it would be. My husband Kyle and I worked with Kristina recently to find and purchase our first home in Dana Point. She was nothing short of absolutely wonderful to work with. My wife and I were lucky enough to work with Kristina and Eric when buying our first home in San Diego this August. They were beyond wonderful!
