We went to this pub today as one of our friends saw a review of it. Parked our car and even before I entered was already smileing at the notices they had outside. I thought they were quite cheeky but in a nice way. i.e. New years´resolution: Visit the pub more. We were greeted by wide smiles, no fake, just people enjoying their job. All nice staff knowing what they do. We did not eat, but the beers were incredible. Having 4 children, the games offered on the tables were a hit. My 5 year old learnt how to play draughts this evening! They did some painting and my 2 year old could not believe they had the wooden laberynth we have at home. The stunning fireplace area was super cosy, with arm chairs around it and with a roaring fire. My friend and I were admiring the creativity of whoever had decorated it. The feel is that you just feel at home (or wish your home was as welcoming as this). I did not want to leave. We were chatting, reading books to the children by the fire, other people had dogs, nothing was a problem. Everyone really seemed that they were havign a great time. It just felt right. At some point we started to talk to the girl who had greeted us with her beaming smile and it turned out she is the owner, with her husband and little boy. Talking to her was as talking to a friend! weird. I am so happy we went and cannot wait to go again and have some of the incredible food we saw leaving the kitchen. read more
