The last 6 months she has been awful! Long waiting time (if I wait less than 45 mins that's a good appointment) to even see her and her office staff is rude and unhelpful. Dr. Shea spends most of her with her nose in a laptop during a visit and seems distracted when I visit. I scheduled an appointment and showed up to a locked door with staff inside. When office personnel opened the door they were VERY rude and unprofessional. "There's no way you have an appointment today we're closed!"( I keep detailed records of all my appointments) There is no way I could have known they were closed and I was treated very poorly. I will not return to Dr. Shea.

The young man who brought me into the exam room, did VS and recorded my current med list was delightful. He was very kind, professional and had a great sense of humor. The woman who brought me from the room to the exit door to show me how to access the lab was very kind and professional. The lab staff were pleasant, welcoming and very kind. I received a call in less than 24 hours from Karen in the lab reviewing the results with me. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and the kindness that was shown to me. As for Dr. Sanner, he spent about 30 minutes with me, reviewing my history, meds and any concerns that I might have. He was very collaborative when we discussed my personal health care and I felt heard and my opinion and knowledge were valued. As a new resident to this part of the country, I am relieved to have met this wonderful team and look forward to working together fo a very long time.

And when I do get to the clinic, I am never rushed thru my appointment so the doctor can move on to his next patient. He takes the time to find out everything that is happening in my life, and makes sure all my prescriptions are up to date so I'm never without my medication. I have been a patient of Dr Birdwell for a good number of years, my mother was also a patient of his until she passed away in March 2013. I cannot imagine changing doctors for any reason. Kelly (nurse) took my vitals and asked all the new patient questions. She is such a kind, warm person! I felt as though I was talking to a friend! Then Katherine (nurse practitioner) entered the room with a big smile! She spent an hour and forty five minutes with me and was incredibly down to earth and thorough! I still can't believe the amount of care I received at this appointment. I can honestly say I have never experienced a doctor's visit like this one. Katherine actually listened to me in such a concerned and caring way. When I mentioned I had chest pains a few weeks ago she immediately ordered an EKG. Within minutes Kelly came in and ran the tests which showed no problems with my heart. What a relief! NO charge for the test! Unbelievable!!! I will recommend this clinic and Katherine to everyone! WELL the online scheduling tool does not state what time slots are for what appts. PLUS it's very unprofessional to call a patient 5 mins before the appt time to cancel. I asked if there was anything open later in the day as I really needed to be seen I was told no but clearly there is I wk in a clinic so I know that appts can be combined to make a longer appt. I wouldn't go back here if it was raining bricks and I needed just one to complete a house! Worse experience I've ever had from a doctor clearly they could care less about the patients or maybe it was just me!
