Booking a room at the Inn at Silver Maple Farm was a great decision. It is a quaint, well kept, and charming Inn located in Hudson Valley, NY. It is a ten minute drive to downtown Chatham, a small town with shops, and a 15 minute ride to Lenox (the Berkshires are also close by). It was a perfect location and vibe for meeting a friend and getting some girl time (she came from New Jersey, me from Boston). It is as special as we had hoped it would be with not a detail missing. The Inn Keepers, Khloe and Sean, were hospitable and organized, reminding us of our reservation days in advance and asking if we needed anything beforehand. Bed was comfy, and we had a fridge in the room. Common area (pictured) had a nice fireplace with free snacks and games. Breakfast was delicious (also pictured). We visited the Inn this past weekend and were really happy with our experience. The hotel rooms and commons spaces were charming, comfortable, and clean. It is close in proximity to many hiking options in the Berkshires. The innkeepers are friendly and make great breakfast options. We stayed in one of the dog-friendly rooms, and brought our (large) dog with us. We are grateful to have found somewhere that would let us bring her along. Overall, highly recommend. I went on Christmas Eve and stayed the night. It was a perfect stay and exactly what I needed. Not only was it the cleanest place I've ever stayed and I've stayed in many places, but it was also the most cosy and welcoming environment. The breakfast was unbelievable and I am still blown away at the amazing accommodations. It is worth every penny and MORE! My friends keep asking me about it because they want to go now. Could not have had a better experience here. Chloe and Sean are the best, most considerate hosts and thought of every little thing to make our stay amazing. We stayed the night during a two week road trip for our anniversary. We absolutely fell in love with this place. It's stunning and you can tell a lot of thought went into it. From when you drive down the driveway to the home made breakfast, it was everything we could have wanted. I ended up buying the fragrance diffuser because I couldn't get enough of the way the place smelled. Breakfast was French toast with fresh strawberries on top. The bed was really comfy and cozy. A quiet night after a few hours around the fire pit. There is a little creek on the property that you can walk down to that's really peaceful in the mornings. The hosts make it feel like home. I wish I could say that all of my B&B experiences were this nice, but this truly was a wonderful experience. East Chatham is a small serene town, just outside of the Berkshires (or the Catskills if you're coming from the West). The Inn grounds are serene and immaculate. Inside is magnificently decorated in Shaker style, including beautiful woodwork. Jodie was so nice (we were able to get a room only because there was a cancellation). She explained that the room was just a full sized bed, but we took it anyways, and it was more than enough space for two. The room was adorable, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was spectacular; there were several quiches available, as well as hard-boiled eggs, toast, et cetera. Jodie was so nice and personable, and even recommended a few nearby towns worth exploring. I can't wait to come back! read more

My husband and I went to visit our kids (our son's partner just bought a home in Canaan Ny). When the boys were house hunting they stayed at Jodi's B & B. Had a really great one-night stay here on 9/13. Not sure what I expected, but whatever expectations I had were far surpassed. Really beautiful and comfortable interior to the house. The single room I stayed in (Sapling Room) was bright, spacious, and comfortable, which is certainly not something solo travelers can always expect. I had a wonderful stay at the Inn at Silver Maple Farm! The property is beautiful, calming and meticulously landscaped. The common areas are clean, and thoughtfully decorated. The rooms are spotless and decorated in a tasteful manner. I did not need anything during my stay - everything was absolutely perfect. I especially loved the soft/comfy robe provided in my room. The bed was comfortable and I had a restful sleep and woke up very refreshed. The Inn Keeper, Jodie is so very kind, helpful and accommodating. She knows the area very well and will give you tips on where to go and what to do. Jodie really goes the extra mile for her guests and truly cares about your comfort. The Inn at Silver Maple Farm was a real treat and getaway from the Big City. The room was well-furnished, clean, and had all the amenities we needed (including nice robes). Breakfast included quiche, fruit, muffins, yogurt, and good coffee. Although we only stayed there for one night, Jodie (the owner) treated us very well and took time to get to know us. We had some minor issues with the wifi (which was quickly resolved) and didn't get the information we needed for the Shaker Museum (which was closed for the season). There is a good farm nearby with wine tasting and excellent hard cider. Overall, would highly recommend. read more

the room was very comfortable, attractive, and clean. the surrounding area is quiet and good for sleeping. the breakfast offerings are pleasant. the other guests sweet. these are positives that should be acknowledged. however, the overall rating is poor because there was another dimension to our stay. jodie was flat out hostile. it began the moment we arrived. there are several examples. here are some. "jodie, is that red barn used for anything?" " no, it's a barn. everybody thinks that is such a smart question." "can we settle up at the end of our stay?" "no, who does that? everybody pays up front. nobody does that." jodie has a new york city area accent and being from the city i wanted to connect. i asked, "are you from brooklyn originally? "no" and then silence. "what is for breakfast? "a buffet." "what is in the buffet?" "a buffet, followed by quiche." "eggs, meat?" "no meat" silence. if it does not come through in the quotes above what i am trying to explain is that jodie made us all feel that she was annoyed by us and that our questions were stupid and intrusive. she was flat out palpably hostile. she rushed us through everything and when she went to her room it left us wondering, "what on earth was was that about?" the next morning it began the same way. my group (four of us) wanted to sit together for breakfast. she was again annoyed by our request and said "no." then one of the people i was traveling with suggested using a table that was not yet set up as an option and she agreed. at this point, quite suddenly, she became very friendly-warmly serving us breakfast and giving some sightseeing advice. it was a very weird and sudden switch in mood. when we arrived she had complained about the unfairness of reviewing. "reviewers don't have to put their full name." she said. well jodie, my name is adam jacobson and if you want me to call you to discuss this further let me know. just respond to this review with an interest in doing so. your rooms are very nice, but your behavior ranged from abominable to sweet at the end. buyer beware. also, the internet in the pines suite does not work. read more

What a wonderful inn! Our family of four had a wonderful overnight stay at this beautiful inn in the Berkshires. We stayed in the beautiful two story Pines Suite. The kids shared a pull out bed on the first floor while we had our privacy upstairs in the king size bed. Everything was clean as can be. The innkeeper is delightful, and left no stone unturned to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. She prepared the most delicious breakfast in the morning. We loved our stay here, and the inn was only about 20 minutes away from Jiminy Peak where we skied the next day. read more
