My husband and I are huge fans of staying at B&Bs in or near ski towns. The INN truly has exceeded our expectations for what our ideal experience is, and we are so grateful for the INN being the foundation of a phenomenal week-long getaway in Jay Peak. The stay: main area- Quaint, cozy, cabin-like feel with a rustic albeit decorative interior. Carve some time out in the evenings to hang in the common area by the warm fire and play some games they have available. It's large enough for multiple groups to be dispersed and play separately. Room- just enough space and awesome vibe. Shower was amazing with great pressure and perfect after a long day of skiing. Dog friendly: We brought our dog with us for the trip and were so pleased with how truly dog friendly the INN was towards her. Seeing as we couldn't take our dog on the mountain to ski, Kinga offered daily dog walks around the neighborhood for a more than reasonable fee. It was the perfect amenity to offer so we could enjoy our time skiing without having to rush back and take her out. She was sleepy everyday that we came back and got so many sniffs in! We loved hearing Kinga share with excitement details of their walk everday. They are all truly dog lovers, with Portland and Banana there as two lovely inn dogs (different but amazing personalities). We were also greeted with a dog bed and treat in the room upon arrival. The dog-friendly rooms are right next to the exterior door so it's super easy to take her out for walks. There is a river in the back of the INN, as well as a small through-road so easily accessible for long walks. The food: Don't skip breakfast- it's phenomenal! Had the avocado toast most days but tried everything on the menu - French toast is delicious as well. Definitely make dinner reservations for the INN at least one night. It was such a memorable experience. Huge compliments to Jason for cooking the ribeye and duck to perfection. Drinks- Holly is a rockstar of a bartender. I asked her to make me something "simple but effective" one night-- she recognized I had been ordering vodka based drinks that evening and made a delicious vodka gimlet. It was the perfect complement to sitting by the fire and playing chess together. Nick, Jason, Kinga, Holly, and the rest of the staff make an exceptional team and have something very special at The INN. We are so appreciative of the hospitality they showed towards our dog and us. We recently visited the Inn for dinner compliments of a gift card from my aunt for our vacation. Right from the start I was pleased with the ability to book a reservation via open table and greeted by arm and welcoming staff. Drinks: the hubs had a mule, which he said was absolutely fantastic while I had the martini special (basil pomegranate) that was so delicious that I even had two. I would rate both 5/5 Appetizers: we each had the French onion soup which was very flavorful though I wish it had more onions in the actual soup. We also ordered the appetizer special which was fried buffalo ravioli with a guyere dipping sauce. The ravioli was cooked to perfection but I wish the dipping sauce was a bit thicker. Overall the appetizers I would say were 4/5. Dinner: I ordered the blackened salmon with pesto spaghetti squash while the hubby ordered their famous rib eye with the veggie special of ginger green beans which were to die for. While the meals were flavorful I would rate them a 4/5 Dessert: 420 sundae - house made cookie dough ice cream with hot fudge and crushed pretzels with whip cream. 5/5!! The very best mistake I've made in a long time. I accidentally booked a couple's autumn getaway in Montgomery, not Manchester, and the extra drive was a bit tense. Thank god my mistake was The INN, Nick, and Montgomery, VT. Nick is an inn-keeper par excellence. The INN itself has a beautiful, rustic yet elegant design. My SO was inspired by the interior-decorating. We found a peaceful town with wonderful hiking trails and friendly locals. Absolutely incredible stay, no question. The rooms were beautiful and perfectly clean, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and the feel of the inn was so cozy. Jason and Kinga from the Inn were so tremendously kind and sweet, they could not have been more friendly and they create such a wonderful atmosphere in both the Inn itself and the restaurant. The food was actually out of this world. The breakfast (included in the cost of the stay) was consistently delicious (my favorite was the eggs benedict) and the dinner options were varied and incredible. I had one of the best margaritas I've ever had at the restaurant! Came just for a nearby wedding, but loved our stay so much, we've been talking about going back during ski season one year just because the Inn was such a gorgeous experience. read more

Stayed again in this amazing inn. Great service, amazing rooms (Thanks for the upgrade to king size bed with a balcony! :) ) and great drinks both on tap and from the cocktail menu. My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here, and it was perfect. They had special cocktails, great food and a awesome dining hall. We also stayed here during that time and the two owners were the best sweetest people you'd ever meet. The breakfasts were fabulous, and the atmosphere amazing. We also recently had out 3 year anniversary dinner there and the food was still fabulous after 3 years. The quality of all the ingredients are apparent. This place is as good as you'd get in a large city. If you are looking for a place to eat or stay, don't pass this one up. Its worth it. Ultimate relaxation... From warm comfortable rooms to sitting by the fire in the common area with a cocktail in hand, you will unwind from a long day of skiing or whatever Vermont outing you spent your day doing. When we arrived the rooms were ready and the owners Nick and Scott gave us the tour. They have spent the last 2 years getting every detail just right. I loved that the fire place in the entryway was crackling as we checked in! The rooms are magnificent, we stayed in Room 3 which is street side, we could hear cars go by but this is a small town in VT so it's not like the noise of a city. The bed was super comfy, and there where plenty of pillows and blankets. Make sure you dine here! Reservations aren't required but don't hurt. We ate 3 of our 4 dinners here and it never disappointed. Jason, their head chef is creative and cares about quality! The Fried Chicken with biscuits and gravy is an indulgence you need to have at least once. It's a B&B and the second B is the best breakfast of any B&B we have stayed at. There were a variety of breakfast choices, but he French toast, thick smoked bacon, and home fries was hands down my favorite. I throughly enjoyed The INN and can't wait to plan another stay here. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights the end of December. The Inn is beautiful and the room was cozy and well decorated. The bathroom was spotless and the shower had great water pressure. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river. They have 2 rooms that are dog friendly, so we were able to bring our pup with us. They provided a comfy dog bed, dog treats, and bowls for his food and water. The restaurant was open for dinner all week while we were there, so we had dinner both nights. The soup of the day was amazing! Each dinner we got was delicious. They have burgers if you want to spend less money, but the lamb and steak were also excellent. The cocktails offered were interesting but my favorite was the margarita. Yum. They have a front room with a fireplace, plenty of seating, lots of reading material and some games. This is where the one TV in the place is located. The rooms do not have TV, which we found refreshing. Breakfast is included each morning, and the offerings were great. Really enjoyed the smoothie and muffins. Self serve unlimited coffee is available, with to go cups as well if you want to take more with you on your way out. Scott and Nick were great hosts, offering up ideas for local attractions, and checking in with us to make sure we didn't need anything else. The location is a short drive to Jay's Peak if you are looking to go skiing. We LOVED our stay here and definitely would come back again! read more

The Inn and it's restaurant are first class! Recently acquired and renovated in 2012, The Inn was transformed into the definition of style and warmth. From the incredible Attention to detail to the Immaculate, well appointed rooms, We could not have been happier during our romantic getaway weekend. Cozy yet elegant common areas with lots of little "nooks" add intimacy and warmth. Friendly, talented inn-keepers who work tirelessly to ensure that every element of the Inn is well run and that guests are taken care of. My compliment to to Nick and Scott for pulling it all together so seamlessly and for making it appear effortless! We were so comfortable, we didn't want to leave. This is a charming, top-notch boutique hotel. The owners and hosts, Nick and Scott, are the same people who greet, cook, serve, and generally bend over backward to make your stay perfect. Our room was beautifully furnished, bed really comfortable, everything clean and well-maintained. The common areas were also beautiful, especially the gardens (if you go in the summer). The breakfasts, part of the package, went way beyond the typical B&B fare. I'll definitely go back there the next time I'm in the area. read more

My wife and I stayed for just one night in April, but wished we had blocked-out more time here! We arrived in time for a late dinner, which was amazing - the menu was a nice balance of comfortable "meat-and-potatoes" fair with an sophisticated spin...so much so, that I found myself sampling dishes normally outside of my wheel house...and loved it all! The atmosphere and decor was warm and inviting, by way of a creatively-curated installation...do yourself a favor and spend some time with a few drinks by the fire, in the cozy common area to get the full experience. I am so sorry I only had a one night stay at this truly lovely inn and restaurant. The décor is very charming and a bit like Ralph Lauren, meets Martha Stewart. The innkeeper Nick could not have been more welcoming and friendly when I checked in. My room #8 looked over the trout river and was tastefully furnished and had a wonderful memory foam mattress. My first sleep on one and it was heavenly!. The bathroom was beautifully updated and spotlessly clean! The common areas of the inn are just as lovely and although I did not have dinner, I enjoyed a made to order breakfast with two local friends and it was delicious. I do plan to return for at least a long weekend to really enjoy the experience more fully and explore this lovely area of VT. Thanks again Nick for your gracious hospitality! read more

I used to enjoy dinners at The Inn, especially when Chef Jason's impecable dining choices were so delicious. After he left (someone please tell me where he left to) the quality of the food decreased. My nephew and his wife dined for a birthday celebration and the service was not only slow, but the waiter who was also the bartender forgot their order and asked after 30 minutes if they were ready to order. They were two people in a restarurant that had less than a dozen. I am not sure what happened to the lady bartender, but the last time I was there, she wasn't and when I ordered a favorite cocktail, it wasn't even remotely the same. The food has changed. The people who wait on you have changed and the best chef is gone. It seems The Inn just wants to be a burger, frie and beer joint. No real place to go to dine in an atmosphere with ambience, good food, good service and drinks persevere at this Inn. read more
