Review: American Cruise Lines, American Song, June 5 through June 12, 2022…read more Our experience on American Cruise Line's ship the American Song was a wonderful experience. It was both relaxing, enjoyable, and fun to be pampered. The scenery of mountains, as well as seeing the Columbia and Snake Rivers was beautiful and at times breath-taking. We enjoyed waking up to sit out on our deck each morning to watch the sun rise as the world came alive. Each day, being lovers of history, we discussed, planned, and looked forward to our daily shore excursions, both planned and unplanned. Our meals were excellent and delicious. The crew was friendly, helpful, and anticipated every need. Hotel General Manager Kobi Du Preez was very friendly and although very busy with his hands on approach to operations, always made time to greet us, say hello, and offered helpful information or advice. Cruise Director Olivia Fiore, was fun, entertaining, and offered a lot of energy to activities throughout the day. What might have been a boring process getting off or on a bus, was made delightful as Olivia entertained us all with her clowning theatrics. Each evening we enjoyed Jason and Jack making our cocktails in the lounge and were delighted to listen to the evening entertainment by the talented Laura Sable and Bill Wiemuth with their beautiful and mesmerizing music. Our room was clean, well serviced, and comfortable. Kudos to the housekeeping for always keeping our stay, pleasurable, and well stocked. Overall, an excellent experience to see parts of America we've never seen before. The shore excursions were fun and informative. If you0're looking for a break from the mega-ships and want to explore America, we'd recommend American Cruise Lines.

Unfortunately my father passed away before he was able to take the trip. I notified American Cruise Lines within the guidelines and I as the executive of the estate was denied the refund after being told there would be no problem... Roughly 7,000.00 dollars. An amount that would have helped with expenses of the estate. Seven thousand dollars is nothing to this company and so is it's word. I was told management needed to sign off on this but "it's looking good". After repeated followups, I was told in mid-July that nothing could be done and they're keeping my money. This is not customer service, they'll never see another dime from us.

Captain Dave and first Mate Michelle were great hosts. We hooked up our phone to their Bluetooth speaker to play all our favorite songs. We went on the Sunday afternoon Cruise, which took us out along the shoreline out to the Island area and back. It was a lot of fun, laughs, and an overall enjoyable afternoon.

Here are some things you'll need to know: The Pier Pressure II is Stamford's only pedal powered party boat operated on Stamford Harbor and goes out into the Long Island Sound. It's a 90 minute excursion that is perfect for corporate outings and team building, as well as office, bachelorette, family, friends and birthday celebrations. It fits 26 guests at 12 pedaling stations & benches, a bar table, coolers, has a bluetooth stereo and also a bathroom. Private Cruises begin at $749 and Public Cruises are sold by the ticket, starting at $55, and seat up to 22 passengers. Guests do tip the Captain & First Mate since they rely on it to pay their bills. Suggested tip for Private Cruises: $200-300 and $10-15 per person for Group Cruises. BYOB! I have dealt with the owners, as they are the only ones who take reservations (not an agent) and they have always been quite pleasant and accommodating. Actually, I was on a trip with them once, and some people had missed the bus going to the location of the tour and Tim, one of the owners, actually got in his car and drove those people to the rest area where we stopped for coffee. Anytime that I have been on a bus that they had for the trip, the tour director and/or the driver mentioned where we were and not once did I encounter anyone not getting off the bus because they did not know where they were. Whether one is in the front, middle or rear of the bus, people have always known when they reach their stop. In conclusion, I have never dealt with a better tour company than T&A Tours. The owners have ALWAYS been polite, pleasant and fully responsive to people's needs.
